Notes: Serena met Darien and thought he was a selfish snob at first. But when his car broke down, he randomly stopped at her house to use the phone. While Darien was waiting for the tow truck, Serena invited him to stay for lunch, which he did. They got to know each other and Serena let go of her grudge against him. When Darien's tow truck came, he asked Serena to have lunch with him. Now, our story continues.
Lunchtime approached. Serena was dressed up in a sundress. She couldn't wait for Darien to come and pick her up. 12:00 PM. A car horn sounded. Serena opened the door. Darien was waiting in his red convertible. Serena waved and closed the door behind her. She walked over to the car. Darien got out of his seat and opened the door for Serena. They met each other's eyes and exchanged smiles. Darien got back in his seat and drove off. Soon, they reached an outdoor cafe. They got a table and ordered their food. Serena tried not to order so many things, but when Darien insisted that she order whatever she wanted, she ordered A LOT of things. She began to feel bad because she ordered so much, so she decided to split the bill with him.
Afterwards, they went for a walk around the park. Soon, it was time for Darien to take Serena home.
"Thanks for the lunch, Darien. I enjoyed it."
"The pleasure is mine." Darien took her hand and kissed it gently. Serena blushed. Suddenly, Serena had a flashback. She saw her in a long white dress and Darien in a long cape and armor, on one knee, kissing her hand. She became entranced and called out "Prince Darien." Darien looked at her strangely. Serena snapped out of her trance.
"Sorry about that. I was just thinking about something."
"What were you thinking about?"
"Oh...just this dumb dream I've been having lately."
"Can you tell me about it?" Darien was wondering if she was having the same dreams he had.
"Don't you have to go?"
"Oh, no. Not right now. I have work later...2 hours from now."
"Oh, okay then. Would you like to come in?"
"Sure. Thanks."
They both entered the house and took a seat on the living room sofa. Serena sighed deeply.
"So, Serena. Can you tell me about the dream?"
"Oh. Yeah. Well...um...it's about a couple. They are clearly in love with each other. The girl is wearing a long white dress and the guy is suited up in armor with a long cape." Serena paused for a second. Darien thought of his dream. The same exact couple in Serena's dream was in Darien's dream. The silence was broken. "And...um...they coincidentally have the same name we do." She avoided making eye contact with Darien.
"You mean, the guy has the same name as me and the girl has the same name as you?"
"Yeah."
"Did they say anything to each other?"
"Well...I don't exactly remember what they said."
"Did the guy say, 'We will be reborn on Earth again'?"
"Yeah! He did!"
"And did the girl say something like, 'I don't want to leave you' or 'I'm scared'?"
"Yeah! She did! How did you know?!?"
"Well, Serena. It turns out that I've been having the same dream you've been having."
"Do you think it's trying to tell us something?"
Luna walked in on their conversation and spoke to both of them.
"Yes, Serena. Your dream is trying to tell you something." Darien interupted.
"You can talk?"
"I'll explain later." Luna said.
"So, what is our dream trying to tell us?" Serena asked anxiously.
"Haven't you figured it out? The two of you are the couple in the dream!" Serena and Darien quickly looked each other. "Close your eyes." Luna ordered. They did as she said. Two beams emerged from Luna's cresent sign. The beams shined on Serena and Darien's forehead, revealing their signs. The beam made them remember their past on the moon. Soon, the beams slowly diminished, as did the signs on Serena's and Darien's forehead.
"Now I remember!" Darien said, turning to Serena.
"I remember too!" Serena said excitedly, looking at Darien. They stared at each other for a while. Luna quietly left the room. The silence was broken.
"I can't believe it. We were a couple on the moon." Serena said, not knowing what else to say.
"Yeah, me too. It's so..." Darien looked into Serena's blue eyes. "Serena..."
"Yes?" Serena replied, almost whispering.
"Do you think...we could relive the lives we had in our past?"
"You mean..."
"Yes." Darien said, whispering. He slowly leaned in towards Serena. He gently stroked Serena's cheek. She slowly closed her eyes. He gently held her chin and soon their lips met. They held each other, enjoying the moment.
"OMIGOSH!! You're going out with that hunk from the all-boys school!!" Molly exclaimed. Serena just nodded, blushing a little. All the girls were asking her tons of questions.
"I thought you hated him!" Molly said, remembering that day.
"Yeah, well...we got over our differences. Now, I think he's the cutest, most sweetest guy around!" All the girls envied her for having such a guy. Suddenly, a red convertible pulled up to the sidewalk. All the girls looked at the car, then looked at the driver. The girls were trying to figure out who it was. The driver took off his sunglasses. It was Darien. "That's my ride!! Ja ne!!" The girls stared at Darien. Serena skipped over to the car. When she got in the car, she gave Darien a quick little kiss.
"Awwwww...how cute!" the girls thought. Serena turned around and waved good bye to the girls. After the car was gone, all the girls fell to the ground and began to cry.
"WE WANTED HIM!!!!!!!" The girls cried out simultaneously.
