"I don't want to leave you!"

"You won't leave me. We will find each other again and pick up where we left off."

"I'm so scared. I can't imagine my life without you!"

"Don't be scared." The couple gazed into each other's eyes.

"I love you."

"I love you too, Serena."

Serena suddenly opened her eyes and jerked herself into an upright position. She sat in her bed, thinking about the dream she had. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The opened her eyes again, staring at the wall in front of her, thinking more about the dream. She got out of bed and went to the bathroom. She splashed a little water on her face. She looked at her reflection. She started to think about the dream again.

Who is he? How does he know my name? Where is he from? He makes no sense. How can you be reborn on Earth? How can you be reborn at all?

Serena asked herself more and more questions. Luna quietly walked into the bathroom. She quietly called out Serena's name.

"Serena?" Serena jumped a little.

"Luna! You startled me!"

"I'm sorry, but what are you doing up so late? It's 3:30 A.M and you have school today."

"I know, I know. But I had a dream."

"Of course you had a dream. Everyone has one."

"No, Luna. You don't understand." There was a moment of silence.

"What?"

"I keep on having this dream about a couple."

"Who?"

"I'm not sure. I do know that the girl is me."

"You?" Luna began to giggle a little. She could not imagine Serena with a boyfriend.

"Yes. Me." Luna stopped giggling.

"Go on. Tell me more about your dream. Do you know what the man looks like?"

"A little bit. He's tall, dark hair, I think it was black...yes...and he had a gentle voice, his touch gave me warmth..." Serena started to daydream about him.

"Did you see his face?"

"No, I couldn't see it. It was hidden in the shadows. But I know that he was wearing a suit. Something like armor. He had a sword at his waist too, with a long cape, and shining black boots." Luna gasped a little at the description.

"What did he say to you?"

"He said that we would be reborn on Earth again, and we would find each other again." Serena looked at Luna. She saw the shocked and confused look on Luna's face. "What's the matter, Luna?"

"Oh, it's nothing."

"I don't think so. You have that look. The look that says 'I know what Serena's dream means!'"

"Okay. I don't know what your dream means, but I think I know who you're talking about and why he said that."

"You do? Oh, please tell me, Luna! I want to know!"

"It's best that I don't tell you. If I tell you now, it'll be very confusing later on. I can only tell you that you once had a love. He was a prince. You loved each other so dearly, you couldn't stand being 5 minutes away from him. But that's all I can tell you. The more I tell, the more confused you'll be. Just let things run its course. Believe me, everything will start to unravel itself and everything will begin to make sense, but you can't force it to happen. That's why I can't tell you."

"Can you at least tell me about him?"

"I'm sorry, Serena. I can't tell you anything else. Now go back to bed." Luna walked back to the bedroom. Serena still looked at her reflection. She tried to think more about the dream, but soon gave up. Serena laid in bed, thinking about the dream again. She couldn't stop thinking about it. Soon, she fell asleep.

"Oh no!!!! I'm late again!!!" Serena quickly got dressed and scarfed down her breakfast. She grabbed the lunch her mom had prepared for her as she ran out the door. She ran to school as fast as she could, but despite her rush to school, she was late again.

The day passed on. The things that usually happened happened and everything was going fine until...

"Mmmmmm...that looks yummy!!" Serena peered into an ice cream shoppe, eyeballing a delicious-looking ice cream sundae. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to stop and get a bite." She walked into the ice cream shoppe and ordered an ice cream sundae with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles with a cherry on top. She was so happy when the ice cream sundae was handed to her. She couldn't wait to have some. She turned around and walked towards an empty table. Halfway there, a kid dropped some ice cream on the floor. Serena didn't notice and was a couple of steps away from walking right into it. The ice cream man saw the trouble Serena would be getting into and yelled, "Watch out! There's a spill on the floor!" Serena turned around to look at the ice cream man, but she stepped into the ice cream and slipped. She screamed, about to hit the hard floor when a someone caught her. He sat her in a chair and walked away. She sighed deeply, catching her breath. She turned around to thank her rescuer. "Wait!!" Serena ranup to him and tapped his shoulder. He turned around and faced Serena. She gasped a little, trying to hide it. "T-t-thank you, for rescuing me from my fall." She tried so hard not to blush. She stared at his deep blue eyes and his midnight black hair. He was also tall and very good looking. "I can be a little clumsy sometimes," Serena said, giggling a little.

"Sometimes? Oh, I thought that was your full-time job!!"

Serena suddenly gave him an icy glare. His rude comment made her see this man in a whole different light. Now, he was a mean, rude guy who likes making fun of girls.

"*gasp* How dare you! How can you be so rude?? Thanks a lot, mister!!! You know what? I probably would've been better off without you!!" She stomped out of the ice cream shoppe and stomped all the way back home. The guy shook his head in disappointment.

You're so stupid. How could you have insulted a beautiful girl like her? And she looked like that girl you've been seeing in your dreams. Now you've lost her forever.

*slam* "Who does he think he is? Does he find pleasure in hurting a young girl's heart? Ooooh!! The nerve of that guy!!" Luna walked into the living room, where Serena was.

"Serena? Was that you who slammed the door?"

"Yes. It was."

"What did you do that for?"

"This guy I met. Ooooohhhh!!! He makes me so mad. We should rid the world of guys like HIM!!!!"

"Who?"

"Oh, just some rude, selfish, conceited guy."

"Do you know his name?"

"Aha ha ha ha!! Don't make me laugh, Luna. That's the last thing I want to know about that guy."

"Well, what happened? What did he do to get you so mad?" Serena began explaining her story. When Serena described the guy, Luna had the same look on her face from last night. Serena saw the look on Luna's face too.

"Luna? What is it now?"

"Well, nothing, but...the man you're describing sounds similar to the guy you described in your dreams." Luna paused.

"You mean...aha ha ha...you think that guy is the same one in my dreams? Luna, you have got to be kidding me. That's the last person I'd want to fall in love with."

"I don't know..."

"Don't worry, Luna! There's no way it could be him. The guy in my dream is kind and gentle. The guy I met is rude and mean. There's no similarity whatsoever."

"If you say so..."

The next day, all the school girls gathered together at lunch. Serena and Molly joined the group of girls. They were talking about a new guy. He had transferred to an all-boys school that was two blocks away from their school. All the girls started describing him. At first, Serena didn't realize they were talking about the guy that she met yesterday. Soon, they were passing around a picture of the guy. When Serena saw the picture, she gasped. All of the girls stared at her.

"I-i-it's him!!!!!"

"You know him?!?!" Molly asked excitedly.

"He's the rudest, most cruel guy I've ever met!"

"How can you say that? He's so gorgeous!"

"That's what I thought at first too! But it turns out that he's a rude person!!"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm dead positive. I can't stand him!!"

"But Serena...he's cute!!!"

"I don't care!! I never want to see him again!!"

The next day, Serena was at home. She was enjoying her weekend. She was the only one home. It was about lunch time. She went down the stairs, heading towards the kitchen. Right when she got to the foot of the stairs, the doorbell rang. She opened the door. She screamed.

"What are you doing here?!?!?!" Serena exclaimed. It was the guy she met at the ice cream shoppe.

"What are you doing here?!?!?!"

"I live here!!"

"Oh." Serena sighed.

"What are you doing here??" she asked again.

"Well, if you must know...my car broke down and I need to call a tow truck to come get it to take it to the shop."

"Oh." Serena looked at the car. It was a red convertible...with grey smoke coming from the hood of the car. "Okay. Come in. The phone is in the kitchen." The guy walked in to the house slowly. Serena closed the door behind him. She led him to the kitchen. He called a tow truck. He turned to Serena.

"It'll be here in an hour."

"An hour?!?!"

"That's what the guy said." Serena sighed. The guy hung his head down, looking at the floor.

Isn't this great, Serena? You're stuck for an hour with the guy you hate most! I know you won't like this, but why don't you ask him to stay for some lunch or something? Keep him occupied.

Serena knew that her conscience was right. She sighed deeply. She finally got the courage to ask him.

"Um...." Serena began. The guy looked at her. "Would you like to stay for lunch or something?" Serena slowly looked at him.

"Yes. That would be great!" Serena looked at him, his face, seeming sweet and gentle. She smiled a little. He gave a little smile.

Serena made lunch for herself and for the guy. Soon, Luna walked into the kitchen. She was about to talk to Serena when she saw that there was company. She saw that the guest was a guy, seeing he was wearing slacks and black shiny shoes. Luna rubbed against Serena's leg, trying to get her attention. Serena jumped a little. She looked down and saw Luna. Serena turned to the guy and told him that she was going to feed Luna. She took Luna to the basement and closed the door.

"Serena. Who is that?"

"Unfortunately, that's the guy I met at the ice cream shoppe."

"Really?"

"Yeah. His car broke down and he called a tow truck and it won't be here in a while."

"Oh, okay. I was just wondering who that was." Serena picked Luna up in one arm and the bowl of food in the other. She brought them both to the kitchen. She put them both down. Serena took her seat at the table. Luna wanted to see what he guy looked like, so she rubbed against his leg. He looked down at Luna.

"That's Luna, my cat. She very friendly. You can pick her up if you want."

The guy leaned over and picked Luna up. She explained the moon on her forehead. Luna got a good look at him. She tried not to let any of her emotions show. The guy put her back down. He turned to Serena.

"Listen. I'm sorry about what happened at the ice cream shoppe. I didn't mean to."

"So why did you do it?"

"I...I don't know. It just happened. I'm so sorry. The last thing I want to do is hurt the feelings of a pretty girl like you." Serena blushed a little. "I'm actually a very nice guy, once you get to know me. By the way, I didn't get your name. May I ask what it is?"

"Oh. My name is Serena."

"Serena. That's a beautiful name." Serena blushed a little more.

"What's your name?"

"Oh, how foolish of me. My name is Darien." Luna heard and she quietly gasped. Serena blushed a little more. They looked at each other for a second. "Well, I better see if the tow truck came yet."

"Yeah. Good idea." Serena walked him to the door. He saw the tow truck a block away.

"Well, Serena. The tow truck is downt the block. Thanks for all your help."

"Oh. Sure, anytime." She tried not to blush.

"I hope to see you again soon." He held out his hand, suggesting a handshake. Serena held his hand and they shook hands.

"I hope to see you again soon, too!" They let go of each other's hand. Darien walked down the front steps. He stopped in his tracks and turned around to face Serena.

"Hey, Serena."

"Yes?"

"Would you like to join me for lunch tomorrow?"

"Sure! I'd love to!"

"Okay. I'll pick you up at 12 o'clock, lunchtime. Be ready!"

"Okay!" They said their goodbyes, and headed their separate ways. That evening, Serena fell asleep with a smile on her face.

"We will be reborn on Earth again, and the very moment I see you, I will fall in love with you all over again."

"I don't want to leave you!"

"You won't leave me. We will find each other again and pick up where we left off."

"I'm so scared. I can't imagine my life without you!"

"Don't be scared." The couple gazed into each other's eyes.

"I love you...Darien."

"I love you too, Serena."

Serena woke up. She thought about the dream. This time, she saw the man's face. He had deep blue eyes and midnight black hair. He had a sweet and gentle expression on his face. He looked just like the guy she met. She was beginning to think that Luna was right.

Luna woke up. She looked at Serena. Serena sat up, thinking about the dream.

"What is it?" Luna asked.

"Is Darien the one in my dreams?"

"YES!! He is. When he picked me up, I saw that he had the same eyes, the same hair...the same everything as the prince in your dreams."

"Really?" Serena thought about Darien. She smiled a little.

"Yes. Now go back to sleep."

"Okay, Luna. Good night." Serena laid back down in her bed. She slowly closed her eyes, thinking about Darien.
