Alan
and Anne travel to Earth with their Doom Tree in search for energy to feed
it. They disguise themselves as normal humans going to school. Within their
apartment, the two have a portal to the Doom Tree (which looks like outer
space). They call upon Cardians to suck the energy from their victims, depending
on whom the aliens choose, however, the Doom Tree never makes any response
to the energy it is being fed. Alan and Anne simply thinks that the Doom
Tree isn't getting enough and keep trying, because if the Doom Tree dies,
so will they. Alan develops a crush on Serena while Anne develops a crush
on Darien, because of these attractions, both Serena and Darien are spared
the Cardians for a while. However, Anne is extremely jealous of Serena and
Alan is jealous of Darien and both want to take the energy of the other's
crush. Alan and Anne truly love each other, but because of their evil lifestyles
and forceful energy gathering, they are unable to see it. At the end of
this series, Serena is shoved into the portal to the Doom Tree by Anne,
the Doom Tree latching onto her, causing it to finally grow a bit. |
