Conan Doujinshi

Doujinshi are fan comics, I guess you could say that they're a step up from fanfiction. Doujinshi are very, VERY big in Japan and a popular series will spawn hundreds. The writers and artists of doujinshi are called 'doujinshi-ka' or 'Circles' and there are many different Circles producing Detective Conan doujinshi, all with varying viewpoints about the characters and pairings. Even if you can't read Japanese, doujinshi can be enjoyed because the skill of the artists is such that the art often aids understanding of the story.

This is just a catalogue of what I own and I hope it will help people who want to buy Conan doujinshi, but don't know what to look for. But I warn you now that outside of Japan it isn't easy to get them! It is worth stalking ebay and other online autions because occasionally a good Conan doujinshi will be put up. Other options include approaching the doujinshi-ka directly (many have their own websites), but you'll need a decent knowledge of Japanese for this. Or you can ask friends in Japan to go into places like 'Mandrake' and look for you.

Most of my doujinshi focus on Shinichi and Ran - they are one of the most popular couples in Conan after all and my favourites! However, I do have some that are about other pairings such as Sonoko and Makoto.

I'm not a bit fan of yaoi in Conan, mostly because a lot of it is Shota-con and that is really not my thing. I have one yaoi doujinshi and that's only because I like the doujinshi-ka style. If you do like yaoi in Conan then I cant help you much, but do a hunt around some Japanese fansites and you'll come across quite a few good artists who may be able to help you find what you're looking for.

I have put up some scans of the stories in some doujinshi, but I'm not going to be scanning in all of them. It would take way too long and also it would be disrespectful to the artists - if any of the artists request that I take down my scans then I will. I also request that people do not take these scans and post them up on their sites! I don't mind if you download them for your personal enjoyment though.
