Kamui Shirou returns to Tokyo after a six year absence to fulfill the destiny his mother spoke of before her death. Immediately upon arrival he is harrassed by two different groups: Hinoto - a blind dreamgazer and her Dragons of Heaven (or Seals), and Kanoe, Hinoto's sister, and gatherer of the Dragons of Earth (also called Angels or Harbringers). Both sides want him to join them in the fight for the end of the world. The Anime and the Manga vary widely, since the movie was made long before the manga neared completion -- it still isn't finished. The Anime is well known for the amazing action sequences, it is both bloody and disturbing. The Manga focusses more on character development and intense emotional scenes. |
