Evangelion Review & Summary by Binnan

>Well the story is that 18 angels come and all life is killed. The first impact was the event that killed off the dinosaurs, the second impact melted Antarctica and people survived by Noah’s Ark, so finally the third impact has come but humanity is ready to fight back with bio-mechanical mechs, the Evangelions came from a skeleton of the first Evangelion called Adam, they are actually living things but NERV supposedly extracted the souls, but as you’ll see Unit 1 will break the bonds that let NERV control it and act like it was originally. Evangelion has a bit of sexual innuendo and some gruesome mech scenes. All the characters have some mental or moral deficiency.

The main characters are Shinji Kun the pilot of Unit 1, he was abandoned by his father who went to work for NERV the organization in charge of making the Evangelions, he has a fear of pain so he does what people tell him to do and doesn’t get close to anyone. Ayanami Rei is the pilot of proto-type Unit 0, Rei is pretty much a mystery, she doesn’t have that many emotions because she was cloned and she knows that if she died she can always replaced. Asuka Langley is the pilot of Unit 2, she has a superiority complex and pilots Unit 2 to show off her skill. She is constantly egotistical and has almost no shame. Shinji’s dad isn’t a nice guy, he cheated on his wife who died mysteriously later on. He does whatever it takes and has no morals, he uses Shinji and even makes him kill an Angel against his will. Misato is a very weird woman, she lives like a slob, drinks beer, and is very sexual, she only eats instant stuff like cup-o-noodles and has a pet penguin, one of the new-age warm water penguins called Pen Pen.

This is a great anime and it’s a lot deeper than any other anime out there, its fill with good old fashion rip em’ up fighting and some *ahem* adult scenes, I recommend this anime to anyone.
