Water Hawk - Sandy Le Noir - Lavender
Malathyne - Sakura Hakekari - Gold
Misty Raven - Jamie Satoh - Ice Pink
Ice Song - Kaylee - Red
Thunder Hawk - Qusay Hassan - Silver
Sandy woke up in the middle of the forest all grumpy. She got up with the lavender thingy next to her with the blue buttons. She pressed the button to the map. There was a pink dot on her left and a gold one far away. "Might as well get going," Sandy said to herself.
Jamie got up as she noticed something wrong about this background. She didn't worry about it as she got up and walked around.
Sandy continued to walk as she didn't like the sound of the rustling.
When the world regained its color, Sakura found herself standing not in the arcade, but in the middle of a forest. She blinked. Where were Tsuka and Brooke? Where was Benjiro?...........Benjiro! Everything came rushing back to Sakura.
She felt something hard and warm in her hands. She opened them to see the odd little device. There were three dots on the screen: golden in the center and a pink and lavender dots far off. She blinked and then spoke aloud, "What're those for?"
She shrugged it off. "I guess I should search for a river or something. People need water, so, if I find water, I'll find people!"
Jamie continued on her route towards the lavender dot. I could use someone to talk to anyway.
Sandy grumbled a lot less as she headed towards the pink dot.
Jamie continued on her path perkily.
Sakura wandered around until she heard the sound of gurgling water. She spun around and took off running in the direction of the sound.
Eventually, she came to a small stream. Thirsty, she knelt down and cupped her hands to drink. She was about to dip her hands into the water when her odd device beeped loudly at her.
Curiously, Sakura pulled the device off her belt and looked at it. The pink and lavender dots were moving straight together, while the gold remained in the center. The red-head blinked.
"Well, if they're moving, they're either animals or people.... And I sure hope they're people!" She hopped up to her feet. "Since the golden dot is in the center all the time, I suppose that one's me...." She began to run in the general direction of the two dots, deciding that any people had to be a sign of civilization.......or something like that, anyways.
Sandy saw the girl with the pink dot. "It's nice to see someone else," Sandy said. "My name's Sandy Le Noir."
"Whee Firends," Jamie said as she saw Sandy. "My name's Satoh Jamie."
Sakura had slowed to a walk a while ago, as she was running out of energy. However, she WAS getting closer to the two dots, which were now right next to each other.
Jamie nodded as she showed Sandy her digivice.
Finally reaching the other two, Sakura screeched to a halt.
"H-hi!" she said, panting. "I'm Sakura... All my friends call me Saku-chan though."
Sandy look at the girl with the gold dot. "Bonjour," Sandy said. "My name's Sandy Le Noir. From Paris, France."
"Neat! You're the first person I've met that's from a different country. I'm from Tokyo, Japan."
Jamie seeing the second girl went up to her. "Hai!" she said perkily. "I'm Satoh Jamie! I'm from Kyoto, Japan."
Kaylee woke up in the middle of a forest with a horrible headache. "What happened?" she asked herself. "Where's my guitar?" she asked, panicking. Then, seeing she wasn't in her room anymore, screamed loudly. "What the heck am I doing in middle of a forest?" She looked around for signs of life and, seeing no one, ventured deeper into the forest.
Jamie checked her digivice. She then turned to Sandy and Sakura. "Do you think we should find this other person?" Jamie asked.
Sakura nodded. "I noticed that you guys have those weird devices too... How did you get yours? I broke a record at the arcade and Benjiro, this nice old man that works there, gave me it. Next thing I know, I'm in the middle of this forest-thing."
Sandy looked at Sakura. "My personal computer diary changed into a digivice," Sandy said. "I was changing clothes after surfing on the waves south of France." She thought about it before facing Sakura and Jamie. "My friends Marah and Danny loved to see me surf," Sandy admitted.
Jamie looked at Sandy and Sakura. "I was sucked into my cell phone," Jamie admitted as she faced Sandy. "You love to surf! My sister, Michiko enjoys surfing as well. She's about your age."
Sakura grinned a bit. "My two best friends, Tsuka and Brooke, are always by my side. I'm sure they're worried about me........."
She turned her attention to the device Sandy had called a Digivice. "So these things are called Digivices? How did you figure that out?"
Sandy looked at her lavender digivice as she, Sakura, and Jamie continued walking. "My personal computerized diary changed into one," Sandy said. "Marah & Cathy were like that too."
"You're really the first person I've met that's from France," Jamie admitted. "My cell phone got all haywired when I was calling Minako and Satori. Five minutes later, I ended up here. I'm glad to see people here too."
Walking along with Jamie and Sandy, Sakura had an odd feeling of, well, belonging. It was the only way to describe it; she felt as if she were meant to be there with them. She had a feeling that they didn't end up in this place because someone pulled their names out of a hat; they were here because they were supposed to do something big.
Watching Sandy, Jamie and Sakura walk on, a mysterious digimon hid behind the shadows. "It will be time soon," the digimon said.
Jamie looked at Sandy and Sakura. "I kind of feel out of place here," Jamie said as she continued walking with Sandy and Sakura.
Another shadow looked on as it faced the first shadow digimon. "Now!" the second shadow said.
Sandy continued her walk as she saw two dots appear in front of her digivice. "Jamie and Sakura!" Sandy said. "There's another new dot that's closer to us."
Qusay groaned as he got up from the ground all grumpy. He checked his silver digivice with white dots. What was Amen-ra thinking? Qusay said as he walked around the forest. In front of him were three lights. "At least there's people here," Qusay said as he caught up with the three dots. He was kinda disappointed to see girls there but he hid that well. "Hello, I'm Qusay! I'm glad there people here."
Kaylee continued walking around aimlessly through the forest. She sighed. No one seemed to be there. She glanced at the watch-like device and saw four dots next to each other. A red dot was a bit farther off. "That must be me," she thought. She ran in the direction of the other dots and soon saw a group of kids about her age. "Hey. I'm Kaylee."
"Konnichiwa Kaylee!" Jamie said. "My name's Satoh Jamie. It's great to see we're together."
Meanwhile....
"Is it time now?" the second shadow digimon asked as three more appeared. The first shadow nodded and the five shadows appeared before the five digidestined.
Sakura grinned, shaking off her thoughts from earlier. "Hihi! I'm Hakekari Sakura." She turned to Jamie and Sandy. "We sure didn't have to wait very long to find the others, ne?"
Sandy felt something though. "Everyone get down," Sandy said. "We got company." The five shadows appeared before Sandy and the group.
"So!" the first shadow said as it was revealed to be a woman wearing a mask. "You guys got the digivices but each of you will undergo each test we give you, mental or physical. You pass and one of us will give you your digimon. Who's up first?"
"I am!" Sandy said as she faced the masked woman. "I'm ready to take every test you throw at me."
"Well!" the masked woman said. "We'll began the test now." Two minutes later, Sandy woke up on the beach with the black sand. "Let the games begin!"
"What's going on?" Qusay asked as the group saw Sandy disappear with the masked woman.
"I'll ask the questions," the second shadow said as it revealed to be a masked man. "You ready to begin yours?"
"Did Anubis leave me any choice," Qusay muttered.
Jamie gasped as Sandy and Qusay disappeared with the masked two.
"Where have you taken them?!" Sakura shouted. A third shadow chuckled.
"Do you really want to know?"
Suddenly, this struck Sakura as a not-so-good idea. "Y-yeah, of course...."
"All right then."
And then darkness swallowed Sakura again.
"Well well!" the masked man said. "Let's test how strong you are."
"Must you insult me," Qusay asked angrily.
"Temper temper," the masked man said. "Behold!"
Qusay turned around as the shadow fighter faced him. It looked like it wanted to fight him. "This is your first test," the masked man said. "Defeat your shadow clone and we'll move on."
Qusay snarled as he and the shadow begin fighting.
"Let's begin!" the masked woman said. "I have two sides and no face. I lurk around with care. What am I? You have two minutes."
Sandy thought about it as the masked woman faced her with a hard glare. "That's easy," Sandy said.
What!!! the masked woman said in thought. She figured it out fast.
"It's the heart," Sandy told the masked woman, defiantly. "The heart has two sides and no face. The person that walks around with care."
"You're right!" the masked woman said. "Next test is your physical."
"I'm ready for it," Sandy said.
The fourth shadow took Jamie in as she came face to face with the masked girl. "Let's begin," the masked girl said as she glared at Jamie. "I'm a plant with no burden. I'm shaped mysteriously. What am I?"
Jamie thought for a second. "A bonsai tree," she told the masked one.
The masked girl nodded as she prepared for the next one. "Next test," the masked girl said. "It will test your sincere efforts."
Sandy braced herself as the masked woman told her about the next test. "This will test your pure heart," she said. "Begin!"
Sandy saw the dark digimon attack a swan digimon as he continued to fire. No! Sandy shrieked I won't let it die. Sandy threw a rock at the dark digimon.
"Ouch!" she heard the dark digimon roar.
"Listen coward!" Sandy snarled as she faced the attacking digimon. "I won't let you hurt something so beautiful and graceful. If you attack, I'll fight."
She saw the dark digimon disappear as the swan digimon de-digivolved into a small sheep-like digimon.
"Congratulations!" the masked woman said. "You have passed my tests and now you have your digimon."
"Bonjour, Sandy!" the digimon chirped as she faced Sandy. "I'm Yuumon, I've waited for you." They returned to the forests. "That's one down." Yuumon told her partner. "The remaining four have to take their tests."
Qusay fought the shadow with hatred and vengeance. That shadow copies my moves like me, Qusay shouted as he continued fighting. It's like fighting mirror.
"That's it," Qusay said. "The shadow me is a mirror."
A masked woman stepped up to Kaylee. "It is time for your first test." In the blink of an eye, Kaylee was suddenly standing at the foot of a mountain. She looked up to see a giant hourglass floating in the sky. "You must climb this before time runs out. Begin." Kaylee gulped and began climbing.
Jamie witnessed some weird pink apple on top of the tree branch. "You must receive this apple after you climb on that tree," the masked girl said. "Begin."
Jamie remembered rock climbing once as she started climbing the tree.
Sandy and Yuumon waited as the others had to take their tests and ultimately earn their digimon.
Qusay looked at the masked man. "You figured it out," the masked man said, angry as the shadow Qusay disappeared. "Next test is riddles. I look around alone, have people stare at me weird and have a hardened heart. I am what?"
"A really lonely person," Qusay said defiantly. "That is you are. I depend on my family and my friends as well as myself. I don't want to end up like you."
"Very well!" the masked man said, hurt. "Next riddle, I have a charming personality, have a strong heart and personality as I face time. What am I?"
"A fighter with sense," Qusay said as the man face was defeated.
"Well well!" the masked man said. "Looks like you're ready to meet your digimon, Terriermon."
"Hello Qusay, I'm Terriermon!" the weird bunny-like digimon chirped. "I'm your digimon here."
Kaylee was halfway there but her muscles where screaming. She looked up to see how much time was left but instead saw a giant rock hurtling itself toward her. She screamed and swung herself out of the way just in time. She climbed up onto a ledge and stood, panting, for a moment. "Must keep going," she told herself. She sighed and continued onward.
A spotlight clicked on. Its golden light shone upon a shadowy figure.
"So. You're the one being tested now."
Sakura said nothing.
"There will be two tests you must pass. One to test your body. And another to test your faith and destiny."
"And what will happen after I pass this test?"
"You will receive a friend for life."
Sakura shrugged. She already had two; having another one wouldn't hurt. In fact, it might even be fun. "Let's get this over with, ne?"
The spotlight clicked off. There was a white flash. Sakura threw an arm in front of her eyes. When they adjusted, Sakura lowered her arm and gasped. In front of her was a large snowy mountain. Beneath her feet was a snowboard. Sakura caught on. This was the test to test her body.
"Now this is ironic," Sakura said, pulling her goggles over her eyes, remembering how she got the weird Digivice. Well, this shouldn't be any problem, Sakura thought.
She didn't know how wrong she was.
Jamie continued climbing until she reached the pink apple. She then found some vines on the tree and swung her way down. "Well I'm impressed," the masked woman said. "Here's your digimon."
"Hai, Jamie-san!" it chirped. "I'm Palmon."
"They're here," Yuumon chirped as she and Sandy saw Qusay and Jamie emerge along with Terriermon & Palmon. "Looks like they passed their test as well." Sandy nodded as she and Yuumon met up with the two.
"Who'd you think it was? Santa Claus!" Terriermon asked, sarcastically. Qusay looked at his digimon as he and Jamie faced Sandy and Yuumon.
"Nice to see you again, Terriermon," Yuumon said, sarcastically as she faced Palmon. "Bonjour, Palmon! It's been a long time."
Sandy turned to Qusay and Jamie. "You two passed your tests," Sandy said. "That's great. At least I'm not the only one."
Palmon nodded her head as she faced Yuumon. "This is your digimon," Jamie said as she faced Yuumon. "She looks like a lamb."
Kaylee reached the top just as time had run out. She stood for a moment, catching her breath. The masked woman appeared again. "You have passed your first test. The next test will test your mind. What is broken when you say its name?"
Kaylee thought for a moment then answered, "Silence."
The woman nodded and disappeared. She was replaced by a small unicorn. "Hello. I am your digimon, Unisusmon."
"Sandy," Yuumon said. "Unisusmon is coming with Kaylee." Sandy nodded her head.
Terriermon stared at Yuumon and Palmon before he and Qusay faced Kaylee and Unisusmon. "You too have that," Qusay said. "Mine's a bunny."
"It's Terriermon," Terriermon snided.
