Aya looked at Eros, and smiled a bit. Her smile grew wider as they entered the village.
"Aww! They're sooo~ cute!"
Tamagomon looked around, "I remember being here a while ago...!"
Aya just blinked.
Seto smiled looking at the creatures. "They look like little heads."
Auroramon took out a ball of yarn and compared it to the size of one Tsunomon. "I must've been this small once...nah, I was probably twice the size." he said smiling.
"Should I touch it?" asked Seto.
Tova looked at all the cute little things. She sat on the ground, with Psychemon lounging next to her, and was immediately engulfed in little Digimon.
"Eep!" she cried, carefully pulling two off of her face and setting them on the ground. "Hello. What are you?"
"We're Motimon," the little monsters chorused.
"It's nice to meet you, then, Motimon," Tova said. She reached into her pocket and got out her candy bar. "Would you like something to eat?"
They nodded, of course, and Tova broke the candy bar into tiny pieces and gave each Motimon one. They gobbled them up quickly. She kept the other half and put it back in her pocket and stood up. She kicked Psychemon awake and walked over by Juuso.
"What's that?" she asked, looking at his PC.
"Aw! Look at them!" said Aya, sighing, "I'm green with envy. Whoever owns these cute Digi-thingies is the luckiest person on Earth!"
Tamagomon looked at her, "...Whoever...owns them?"
"Ehh... yeah... aren't they here to find people for them?"
"Oh, at the moment, there aren't any other humans in Digi-World. That's why you're so special."
"But why us?"
Tamagomon shrugged, "Plus, YOU DON'T OWN US!"
"....We don't?"
"No! We own ourselves as much as you!"
"Aww... and I thought I finally had my own Digi-slave..."
"Aww..look at them!" Eros said. A small green plant digimon that ran out from a hut went to Eros' feet.
"Hihi! I'm Tanemon. If you are looking for a place to stay, I've got a place that is big enough for all of you to fit in! Look over there!"
Eros turned his head to see what Tanemon was talking about. Ahead of them, behind a few trees, was an old stone hut about the size of a standard living room.
Takashi stayed quiet, looking around. All these little. . . SMALL things seemed to occupy the whole village. "How. . . interesting." He mumbled to himself.
Ishimon was greeting a few of the digimon. "Hi little ones! I'm Ishimon." He grinned from cheek to cheek.
"Where exactly are we anyway?" Eros asked.
"We are in a small village just northeast the beach we came in from" Lucemon replied.
"Go ahead and touch them," said Auroramon, "They don't bite."
Seto stuck his hand out and a Demiveemon crawled onto it. The creature just looked at Seto wide-eyed. He touched the creatures mouth with his finger, lightly, and it started speaking. "Hi, I'm Demiveemon. Are you a digimon?" Seto shook his head in awe.
"Hey Seto, let's check out that hut over there." Auroramon said.
Juuso noticed Tova's question.
"It's my mini-pc, I got it a few days ago" answered Juuso and showed Tova the pc.
Hannah picked up one of the Tokomon.
"What's your name?" she asked it.
"I'm Tokomon!" It chirped shrilly, "Are you a new kind of digimon?"
Hannah laughed, "No, I'm a human."
The Tokomon's eyes grew wide, "Then you must be a digidestined! We've heard about you, but I thought you were just a legend."
"Nope, she's real!" Fukimon exclaimed.
Kae grinned. Everyone seemed to be having a good time here. 'Looks like things could only improve,' she thought to herself, sitting next to Isamon, and joined the conversation with some of the little Digimon.
Burn burn burn burn! Togemon growled as something plunged into her back. That burned! GRR!!! MUST... KILL... VILLAGE... GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fukimon was talking with the digimon, when something far away caught her eye.
"Something in the distance... coming towards us." she said, squinting at the whatever-it-was far away from them, looking like barely more than a speck.
"Huh?" Hannah asked, turning 'round and looking at where Fukimon was squinting, "I don't see anything... wait. That little speck that's slightly taller than it is wide?"
"Uh-huh."
Seto and Auroramon were about to enter the shack when they saw the creature. "Why is that cactus moving?" asked Seto. Auroramon laughed "that's Togemon. A cactus digimon. Seto frowned at it and noticed it frowned back. "Well we're a bit too far away to do anything," he said, "I'm sure the champion digimon can handle it. They did before."Auroramon noticed a change in Seto's overprotectiveness.
Takashi looked up in the direction everyone else was looking in. "What the. . ." He mumbled to himself. He turned to Ishimon. "Do you see a cactus thing moving??"
Ishimon blinked then nodded. "If I'm not mistaken that is."
Takashi sighed. "I guess this means someone ELSE has to digivolve, right?"
Ishimon shrugged. "Probably."
"Madonna!!!! A walking cactus? Lucemon, is this another digimon?" Eros yelled.
"Togemon, she lives in this forest"
"Ahhh! Giant cactus! How weird can you Digi-things get?!" said Aya loudly.
Tamagomon looked, "This looks like trouble!"
"I guess someone will Digivolve soon..."
"I'm going to hide over there..." Eros said, pointing to some bushes.
"Count me in!" Lucemon said, flying into the hiding spot.
"Hanny, we need to move," Fukimon pointed out, "If Togemon reaches the village we could all be trampled!"
"Right," Hannah said, clenching her fists. She turned to the in-training digimon, "Do any of you know a safe place we can move everyone?"
"Erm," the in-trainings thought hard, "No."
"Another digimon?" wondered Juuso and sighed.
"Wormmmon, lets go and help the others" said Juuso to Wormmon and started to run at the.. giant cactus..
"Tamagomon," said Aya, facing him, "Should we fight?"
Tamagomon sighed, "But we ate so long ago..."
"AH!" shouted Aya, "We need to get some food NOWWW!"
"What's the worst it could do?" said Seto, "prick someone?"
"Tova?" Psychemon said.
"Yes, Psychemon?"
"Would you care to look off into the distance and notice that very dangerous looking Togemon?" He jabbed a paw towards the cactus.
"Oooh, a cactus! It's cute looking! Let's go see it!" Tova stood up and started running towards the Togemon.
Psychemon, who was trying valiantly to skitter along behind her, called, "Tova, I don't think you get it! We have to get rid of it, not make friends!"
She stopped. "We do?"
"Yes."
"Well, then, I guess we can get rid of it instead. You can do that, right?"
"Yes."
They continued running after the rest of the group.
"Somebody get rid of that big plant!" Eros cried out.
Takashi blinked. "Should we be doing anything?" He asked Ishimon.
Ishimon shrugged. "I don't know. Do you want to?"
Takashi thought about it and decided against helping. "I think one battle for us so far is good enough."
"Well shouldn't we be DOING anything?"
Takashi sweatdropped as he realized that they were back where they started. "Er. . . let's just see if anybody else wants to save the day."
Aya just blinked, "Aww, come on!" She looked at Tamagomon, "Okay, you're HUNGRY, but TRY!"
Tamagomon glared, "Fighting isn't that easy!"
"Sure it is!" yelled Aya, and she put herself in a fighting position, "I'm a black belt in Tae Kwon Do!"
"...What's a Black Belt?"
"It's the top rank in Tae Kwon Do!"
"...And what's this, Kwon-do thingy?"
"A fighting thing!"
"And what do you do?!"
"...Kick... and... do stuff..."
"Are you REALLY a Black Belt?"
Aya stood quiet, then sighed, "...No..."
Seto watched the cactus continue towards the village. "Hey Auroramon, can you turn into a cactus?"
"Sure why not?" sighed Auroramon sarcastically.
Seto observed the intimidating plant zooming toward everyone on the other side of the village. 'Boxing gloves...?' he thought, 'I hope it doesn't bite anyone's ear off.'
"So...how was your day?" Eros says to a random person. "Um..Eros, we've all been together for the day, you know what happened to each of us" Lucemon said. "Heh...just trying to make conversation!" Togemon, still enraged at the pain in her back in hurt so much she wanted to KILL something, ran on towards the town. As she approached, she started spinning. "NEEDLE SPRAY!" Kae yelped, and ducked. Isamon stood over her, cowering, trying to be protective. "Can't you turn into that sword-dude?" Kae asked. "Uh-uh. Too hungry." Isamon whined. Kae sighed, and just lay low. Aya looked at the cactus, "Hey, I guess someone's Digithingy is gonna Digi-tude next." "It's DIGIMON and DIGIVOLVE!" "Yeah, yeah... whatever, Digi-dude..." Aya just stood there, doing nothing. She imagined everything she wanted. "...Ooooohhh... that new lipstick I wanted... Aww... cute purse! Ahhh! Rubber shoes! Kawaii! "Ayashi No Ceres" Volume 4! Must...get..." Takashi looked up at everyone to see that almost EVERYONE had been guarding themselves. He groaned as he noticed that only Aya had been standing there stupidly. Standing up, against Ishimon's wishes, he made his way towards Aya, hoping that Togemon (As told by Ishimon) wouldn't decide to attack them in the process. "Just WHY are you standing?" He asked, slightly annoyed that he had decided to actually HELP her not get killed. "Can't you tell that we're. . .Well, to put it easily. In the middle of a battle?!" He snapped. Ishimon, not wanting to leave his partner's side, sweatdropped. "Er. . . Takashi. I don't think yelling will help you too much." He said cautiously, eyeing the cactus. Takashi ignored his digimon and focused on his DISCUSSION with Aya. "Ay, you two! Get back here before you become pin cushions!" Eros yelled. Takashi snarled at Eros, spinning around to face him. "That's what I'm trying to tell her!!!" Ishimon got more and more nervous. "Really Takashi. . . I think you shouldn't yell." Takashi ONCE again ignored his frantic digimon. "Yes, I know we are in the middle of a battle!" Aya told Takashi, "I'm standing here because it's fun." She sighed, "Nothing is happening to us anyways!" She looked up and grinned, "Are you... worried about me?!" "They are going to fall in love! I can feel it! And they are so perfect for eachother!" Eros said. "So you are matching up a wolf to a clueless bunny?" Lucemon commented. "What's a matta wit you? Don't you see a couple?" Eros said in an Italian way. "I see needle therapy if they don't move!" Takashi glared at Aya's accusation. "Well then. If you're HAPPY in maybe dying. Then who am I to stop you? Eh?" He didn't really MEAN his words, but he HAD to just wipe that damn thought from her head. He couldn't really have her thinking he cared because well. . . He didn't, right? Of course he didn't, he assured his pride. Ishimon sighed. He gave up in trying to protect his partner. He wasn't being listened to but he would take action whenever necessary. "Ok, maybe not the best couple, but you can't blame me for trying" Eros said. "Trying what?" "Shut...up!" Seto watched the 2 argue but was more focused on the large cactus. Auroramon snapped a needle as it was about to hit a Tsunomon. "Do you have any food here?" he said to no one in particular, not getting an answer. Auroramon noticed Seto's rage was building up and grabbed his heel as he was about to take off toward the battle. "Not now." "AAI!" Hannah screamed, dodging needles. "Get into your huts, all of you! Now!" Fukimon told the in-training digimon. Tova fell flat on the ground, trying to avoid all those incredibly pointy-looking needles, but one hit her in the arm anyway. "OW! Psychemon, do something already!" Psychemon sighed and looked at her. "Get up, Tova. You're getting dirty." "Do something!" "Get up!" "Do something!" "Get up!" "Wait. Why are we arguing, Psychemon?" "Because you're being stubborn." "And you're not?" "No." "Yes you are! Do something!" She stood up and looked at the lizard expectantly. "Fine. FINE! Psychemon Digivolve to...Lynxmon!" Well, that was certainly a change, Tova thought. Let's see, from little lizard thingy that looks like Levi's cat with no hair to a really big lizard thingy that looks like an alien out of an old B-movie. Cool. Oooh, and check out that fur around his neck. That's really random looking. "Is this good enough, Tova?" "Yep!" she replied, grinning and bobbing her head. His voice dripped sarcasm. "So glad you approve. Wild Nail Rush!" He held out his hands in front of him with his fingers--were they considered fingers?--spread, and Tova noticed for the first time that not only did Lynxmon have really weird fur, but he had really weird yellowish fingernails, too. Spiky fingernails seemed to shoot out from his own nails towards the Togemon. Togemon yelped in shock and pain as the thing in her back flew out. A black gear hung in mid-air for a few minutes, before dissolving. Togemon slumped. She couldn't remember anything that had happened after she had been hit in the back with that thing. "Uhn... Oww... What happened?" Hannah and Fukimon walked towards the Togemon. "Is it... safe?" Hannah inquired timidly. "Yeah, " added Fukimon, "and what was that thing that came out of her?" Seto watched the black gear dissolve. "What's with that black thing?" Auroramon replied, "I guess the gear manipulated Togemon...and those other digimon might have had them too, because I know no digimon is that violent on their own." Aya jumped up, completely ignoring Takashi and Eros' comments, "YAY! They defeated that evil cactusy thing with that coolie lizardy-catty-thing! YAY!" She then turned to the Togemon. "...It's... clueless? HEY! Welcome to the club!" She ran beside the Togemon, "You were POSSESSED! It's like a weird sci-fi movie! Whoo! Go Sci-Fi!" Tamagomon just shrugged and turned towards the Togemon, "What happened, Togemon? You don't seem that violent self anymore." Togemon blinked. "Possessed?" She gasped. Hastily, she stood and bowed apologetically. "I'm sorry, so so sorry if I hurt anyone! I don't know what happened; one minute I'm just minding my own business and the next, something had landed in my back. The next thing I knew, I was here." She sighed. "I'm very, very sorry. I'll go now, if you don't mind." She smiled, and waved. "Good bye everyone! Good luck to you in the future!" With that, she left. Kae watched this all happening, bored. Whatever happened, the Digi-thingies were invincible and indestructible. She began to relax, adjusting to this world. As soon as she got home, this would be a fun adventure to tell to her older brothers. Smiling, she leaned back, ate some of the food the In-Trainings offered, and went to sleep. Isamon watched this all with a worried expression on his face. He knew what was going on in his Partner's head. If she got to thinking that he and the other Digidestined Digimon were unbeatable, she'd be bored in every battle - including the ones that might just be unwinnable. Sighing, he ate dinner and went to sleep, his mind putting the troubled mess aside. Gazing at the setting sun, then back to the vegetarian dinner, Eros wondered. "Lucemon, those black circular things...do they alter personality?" "Hmm? I don't know, I've never seen them before!" replied Lucemon. "You know, back home in Italy, my Nona used to make pasta sauce that kind of looked like this mush." "What is pasta?" "It is a dish made of dough shaped into long noodles or into shapes. Very very malto bueno!" "Huh?" "Nevermind!" Takashi sweatdropped. Such an exciting end. . . He thought with a bit of sarcasm. Turning to Ishimon, he asked, "Is it possible that the first two digimon were also controlled by those black things?" Ishimon shrugged. "Most likely. Those two digimon aren't normally that violent." Takashi shut his eyes tightly and frowned. "So they could have still been kept alive. . ." He muttered softly. "Those 'killings' were in vain." He shook his head and opened his eyes again. "Let's just settle in. . ." He suggested to Ishimon who agreed. Auroramon yawned. 'Seems like we just woke up but all this sun is making me tired' he thought. Seto read Auroramon's mind and asked, "So are we staying the night or continuing the walk, everyone?" "Well, we could at least use a break from walking." Fukimon said. Hannah took some of the food the in-trainings were offering, and looked at it, a bit critically. "Just eat it," Fukimon advised, "It's very nourishing." Hannah ate some. She wasn't quite sure what it tasted like; it was certainly rather plain. But they'd been walking for a while, and she was hungry. Fukimon tucked in too, then settled down to sleep. Hannah yawned. Cool breezes were passing by, making her shiver. But the sun was warm and hazy. She yawned again, drew her jacket around her, and dozed off. Juuso yawned, then felt something.. wet. He looked up, there were raindrops falling down from the sky. "Quick weather changes.. Hey People! I think we have to get some shelter!" yelled Juuso and ran to the nearest hut. Aya blinked as the rain started falling. Faster and faster. "AHHH!!! MY HAIR! MY HAIR! SOMEBODY!!!! AHHHHHH!!!" She attempted to cover her hair with her hands. Tova was hugging Psychemon and telling him how absolutely wonderful he was for saving everyone when rain hit her. She stood up to see Juuso running into a hut. "Wait up!" Tova called, running after him and trying to avoid the rain. After waking up in a lake yesterday, she was not in the mood to get wet again. Takashi stared up at the sky. He rather did like the rain. Sighing, he stayed where he was. Ishimon blinked. "Takashi? Shouldn't we be headed in??" He asked. Takashi turned to his digimon, "You can go ahead. I'll stay out here." Ishimon shook his head. "I'll be okay. . ." He muttered, even though he hated it when water seeped into his fur. Takashi chuckled. "Go on." He urged Ishimon, pushing him into a hut. "I'll be there later." Ishimon was pushed into the hut and the door shut behind him. Takashi shook his head as he stayed in the peaceful rain. As rain covered her head, Aya stayed still. She couldn't let her bait escape. Tamagomon, being a bug, went under a bush and stayed dry. Aya just went over to Takashi and smiled, "Don't you looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvveeeeeee the rain?" She shuddered at the thought. Takashi turned to see a wet Aya. Chuckling inwardly, he shook his head. "Why don't you go inside? You didn't seem to like the rain before." He pointed out, remembering her words from before. "Wouldn't want to get sick now, would you?" He said, pointing at the exact same hut he had stuffed Ishimon in. Aya stood there, shivering, "M-Me? Hate the rain? Ooohhh, NEVER!" Takashi chuckled outwardly this time. "You're going to get sick again. Just go into the hut." He said, this time his voice was stern. He turned around, his back facing the female. "Go on. . . I wouldn't want to play doctor." Aya glared, "Pppppppppfff... fine." She pulled on his arm, "Then you come too!" Takashi looked at her. "What?" He asked. "I'm not going in until I feel like it." He said, his voice harsh. "Well, same for me then!" she said, just standing there, not letting go of his arm. "Woah, its raining hard" said Juuso and looked out in the rain, there were some figures even in the rain. Takashi blinked and turned to the hand on his arm. "Just WHY do you keep insisting on following me?" He asked. Aya looked at him and blinked, "Hm? You don't like me?" She made a pouty face, "I like being with you..." At first the words didn't register in his mind. "Wh-What?" He couldn't stop his face from flushing. "Er. . . Maybe you should go in. I think you're starting to become mental. .." He muttered, although knowing that wasn't really the case. Aya blinked, "What? Why?" She just blinked, "Well, I'm not going in without you!" Takashi grumbled. "Why don't you JUST leave me alone?! I've been alone for a while and I'd like to KEEP it that way." His voice going back to the harsh tone it was used to. Aya nodded, "Well, I can be alone with you!" Takashi groaned inwardly. "Then that wouldn't be 'alone' anymore, now would it?" "But you said yourself you feel lonely by yourself! I'm just trying to help..." Takashi glared at the female. "Well then, learn this. I do not need any help WHATSOEVER. Get it?" Aya nodded, "I get it! But I need help from you!" Takashi blinked. "What?" Aya nodded, "I'm lonely as well." He scratched his head in confusion. "What does that have ANYTHING to do with me??" "Weeeeeeeell," she said, "I only feel better while I'm around you. I'll be quiet! Just let me stay with you!" Takashi blinked again then just sighed. "Okay okay. . Go ahead. ." Aya smiled, "Yay! Thank you, Takashi!" She smiled and huggled his arm and stood quiet. "Aww...look at them! How cute!" Eros said. "So the ying and the yang become both happy with eachother..." Lucemon said. "Ying and Yang? I'm not familiar with this Asian term. Where did you learn it anyway?" asked Eros. "Ahhh!!! Water!" yelled Auroramon. "Your not going to melt," said Seto, "let's get inside." Juuso looked around the hut, it was a little hut. Just like Juuso's first house. "Sigh..." sighed Juuso, he started remembering the little house, everything in his family went well when they were in that house, now they live in a concrete giant. Juuso moved a little bit, there was a little hole in the wall. Nothing was raining in, but he took some grass from the ground and repaired the hole. "What's wrong?" Tova asked Juuso. He was looking rather unhappy, and that certainly wouldn't do. "This place just reminds me of my old house..." said Juuso. Juuso then remembered his sister's death, that was the only reason why they moved from there. His sister died near a little road, not far away from the house. "And my dead sister..." said Juuso unhappily.. "Your sister died? Oh." Tova sat down on the ground of the hut. "I'm sorry. I'd hate it if one of my brothers died. How did she die? If you don't mind telling, that is." "No... I wont mind.." said Juuso and sat on the ground. "Many years ago we lived in a little house, just like this. Then one day I was playing with my sister. We played with a ball and then after a while the ball flew to the other side of the road. My sister runned to get the ball, but then the car came from the side and.. drove over.. her" told Juuso. A few tears fell down his cheeks. "It was the most horrible day of my life.." cried Juuso.. Kae, who was in the same hut, had heard the talking and woken, just in time to hear about the death of Juuso's sister. The eleven-year-old shuddered. "I'd hate it if any of my brothers died, too." She said, walking over and sitting next to Juuso. Thinking about her brothers made her miss them all the more, especially Carlos, who she hadn't seen for two years, anyway, and Antonio, who'd just left to college a few months ago, and who she wouldn't see for at least another four years - he had gone to college on an entirely different continent, and couldn't waste the money he needed to support himself on travel, and their parents had five other kids (including Kae) to think of, so they didn't have the money to bring Antonio home during summer vacations. And then there was Angelo, who was closest to her in age, and who she'd shared a bedroom with for as long as she could remember, and Marcus, who always stood up for her and was overly protective of her, and the twins, Korbalt and Curtis, who were always causing trouble and teasing her... She brought her knees up to her chest, and hung her head. "All this talk of family makes me wanna go home..." She whimpered, forgetting her pride for once. "I wanna see my brothers - even the twins, though they tease me about my height - and my parents, and my friends..." She sniffled, doing her very best not to cry, she was so homesick. Isamon's head perked up, ears twitching. He stood, walking over to his Digidestined and lying next to her, hoping the closeness would be comforting. Tamagomon stared at Aya from the shelter of the hut, "I just realized that humans aren't that bad... It's just THAT GIRL that's weird. Look at her!" Aya couldn't hear the discussion in the hut. She was much too comfortable here, next to Takashi. But as the cold rain went down her skin, she shivered. She gave a slight cough. Aya's eyes opened wide, and the coughing continued. Aya let go of Takashi's arm, and went down to the ground, the coughing not stopping. Takashi threw a frantic look at the coughing female. "Damn it. I told you that you'd get sick." Not wanting her to get sick further, he took her into his arms and headed for one of the huts, hoping that she would get better with enough warmth or something. "I'd like to go home, too," Tova murmured. "I miss Mom and Dad. And even Ezra. And even Levi, even though he's always whining about something. I wish we weren't here." "Oh, shush, Tova," Psychemon muttered crankily, but he walked over by her and sat protectively at her side. "I really shouldn't be too depressing. I don't have any right to be, considering my family's all alive. I'm really sorry about your sister, though, Juuso. Do you have any other siblings?" Tova was hoping to get back to a happier topic. "Hmm.. actually I have.. 2 sisters and a little brother" said Juuso and wiped the tears. "I don't like my brother much, but I want to get home and be with my family again" mumbled Juuso. "I don't like my little brother much, either. He's always whining about something. Always! It's so annoying! And then Ezra's always using his computer--I think he's going to grow up to be a hacker and steal CIA files and sell them to Iraq or something. Come to think of it, that'd be fun..." Tova began the start of yet another random story of hers, which would, if it was anything like other stories she told, be very long, much like this sentence. "And he never leaves his room. Never! I don't know what exactly he does in there. It's weird." "Umm...right. Tova?" Psychemon asked. "Yes?" "Shut up." "You shut up." "No, you." "You." "You!" "You!" "You!" "You!" "I asked first!" "I asked more recently!" "Just shut up already, Tova!" "No!" "Yes!" Aya kept coughing, and she knew it wasn't just because of the weather. When she got inside, she still wouldn't stop. Soon, she coughed out blood. "Ugh...oh... no... Not again..." She tried not to cry.
