Takashi frowned as he put the female in the hut Ishimon was residing in. "Aya. . ." He turned to Ishimon. "Do you think you could find some blankets?" He asked. The dog digimon nodded and found a rather thin blanket but that was all. Takashi sighed and put it over the female. "What's wrong Aya?" He asked, in curiosity.
Aya wrapped the blanket around her, but kept shivering, but seemed relieved that the coughing had finally stopped.
She shook her head, "...I-It's nothing. I hoped I could escape from it by being here... but it keeps following me. Everywhere."
"My brothers are the greatest!" Kae piped up cheerfully. "Angelo's closest to me in age, so he's like my best friend, and then there's the twins, and they tease me about my height, but they let me help 'em when they pull pranks so they're really cool, and Marcus is really nice to me and he's all protective of me which is really cool, and Antonio was all quiet but he was really nice and I miss him - he went to college a few months ago - and Carlos was the best guy in the whole world and I try to be just like him, but he went to college two years ago and he doesn't have the money to visit so I really really miss him!" She ranted, glad to talk about her brothers. Her parents were just there. Her brothers were her life.
Takashi frowned. She must have some kind of illness but what could it have been? Shaking his head, he told her to rest and not worry about it at the moment.
Aya just nodded, and laid back against the cold floor.
'I could taste it...' she thought to herself, 'I could taste death...'
"...Thank you, Takashi-kun."
Takashi would normally have not liked the nick name "Takashi-kun" but he would suffer with it for now. He frowned as he watched the female on the floor. 'Sometimes life just sucks. . . Why does it just choose people that it wants to make suffer?' He thought in sadness.
Aya kept her eyes open and smiled, "Can I sleep on your lap? I'd feel a lot better!" She laughed.
Takashi sweatdropped. Quite heavily too. Yup, some things just don't change except for a little heart from him. Sighing, he nodded. "I guess. . . But. . . only for now, since you're sick." He muttered, not liking that he was showing some weakness.
Aya smiled widely, since she didn't expect THIS.
"YAY!"
She put her head on his lap, and quickly closed her eyes.
Hearing all this only further reminded Seto that he had no family. 'I don't like this place,' he thought, looking down at his digivice.
He looked over at Auroramon sleeping peacefully. "I wish I had...someone."
"I've got an older brother and a younger sister," Hannah joined in the conversation, "My brother's name is Andy. He's always joking around, but he can be a real jerk some times. My sister is Robyn. She's five years old and has got to be one of the sweetest sisters in the world, even if she can be a brat. I always took for granted that they would be there to annoy me, talk to me, make me laugh--and sometimes I didn't want them around at all. But being here makes me realize just how important they were to me." She was beginning to get tearful here. She looked around the hut.
"Hey, where are Takashi and Aya? Did they even come in here?"
"They didn't come in, I wonder where they are" bothered Juuso.
"Maybe they're still outside, I'll search them" said Juuso and ran outside, He saw Takashi and Aya. Aya was resting on Takashi's lap.
"Awww... now isn't that cute" said Juuso and ran back to the hut.
"They're ok, I see a romance coming" joked Juuso and sat on the ground again
"Whew," Hannah said, wiping her forehead, "For a minute I was a little worried."
Fukimon peeked outside, "Oooh, that is soooo cute!" she squealed.
"I think we should sleep now, let the lovebirds sleep in peace" yawned Juuso and tried to get some sleep..
Kae was already slumping, tired. Yawning, she cuddled up to Isamon, resting against him, her head on his back. Rubbing her eyes for a minute more, she finally dozed off.
Juuso wasn't yet asleep. He was singing old finnish song's silently..
"Sininen ja valkoinen.. värit ovat vapauden.." singed Juuso and then fell asleep.
Seto couldn't sleep. His mind was too preoccupied that someone might get hurt...even killed. He gave his digivice a smack. "Get us out of here."
"Oh," Tova said quietly. "I'm not very tired. Psychemon, do--?"
But Psychemon was asleep, too, with his tail curled around him. Tova was the only person left awake, and she watched everyone sadly. Sighing, she stretched out on her back and lay with her eyes open, glaring at the top of the hut.
She listened to Juuso sing his song a little bit before he drifted off. 'Maybe that'll help me sleep, too.'
Tova looked around to make sure no one was listening--she was not fond of people making fun of her voice, which was not at all bad in truth, but it was embarrassing to be heard singing sometimes--and she slowly began to sing her parents' national anthem.
"Kol od balevav p'nimah nefesh yehudi homiya. Ulfa'atey mizrach kadimah ayin l'tziyon tzofiyah..." The haunting words echoed in the night air.
Eros awoke from his short nap and decided to go on a short walk and visit the others to see if they were awake. He wandered into the hut Takashi and Aya were in, and did his cross when he saw what was happening.
"Finally! They respect eachother, and they are falling in love!" he said, then began to sing a love song in Italian and English as he left.
"This is the night what a beautiful night, and they call it Bella Noche!" Eros sang. Memories of boat rides in Venice filled his mind.
Hannah couldn't sleep. She was tired, but she couldn't sleep. She heard the others singing, and thought she would join in too, making up a song on the spot.
"My home is my castle, my home is my life. My friends would be there for me at home. Things that can happen, things that can go wrong, my friends and my family would cushion my fall. And I would do the same for any of them. But now that I'm alone, now that they're not here, I must make my journeys on my own..." Tears began to fall down her face and hit the ground.
"You're not alone," Fukimon told her partner, gently, "You've got me now. And the others." Fukimon gently held Hannah's hand.
Fukimon's hands were cold. So was Fukimon. Hannah took one of her arms out of her jacket sleeve, and wrapped the jacket around Fukimon as well as herself.
"Thanks." Fukimon murmured, but Hannah was already asleep.
Aya smiled. She felt all tingly next to Takashi. She liked this position, and hoped that they would stay like this for a long time.
'I wonder what Takashi is thinking...'
She didn't open her eyes though. Darkness seemed to fit the moment. Plus, Takashi had to think that she was asleep.
'I guess cancer isn't so bad...'
She frowned to herself, 'How can I think that! It's horrible! I hate it!'
"I wish I didn't have it..."
Juuso felt uncomfortable and couldn't sleep, so he stood up and checked on Aya's and Takashi's hut, now he saw something... blood on the ground.
"Hey what has happened here?.. and sorry for interrupting" asked Juuso from the "couple"
Aya's eyes were still closed, and she stood quiet, hoping Takashi would respond.
'I guess Tamagomon doesn't know anything either.'
Tamagomon's bug face was all red, as he gobbled more and more berries from the bush he had found.
"These are GREAT! Fresh!"
He choked down some more.
Takashi blinked at the sudden entrance of someone. That was BEFORE he could have sworn he heard Aya say something but pushed the thought away from his head. He looked up at Juuso and sighed. "What happened here is none of your business. I know it sounds harsh. But this is rather personal, okay?" He asked, thinking that it came out much kinder than usual.
"Ok.. I'll leave the hut.. ermm now.. ^^?" blushed Juuso and ran back to the other hut. Then he started to sleep again..
Seto couldn't hear much with all the songs being sung. He knew a couple songs in singalese but they were all sad. He got up and walked out of the hut. Walking usually helped him get to sleep, and he wanted to check out this new world, anyway.
Tova sat up when Juuso came back in. He was looking rather red. She giggled--it was kind of funny, watching him blush like that. Oh, cute. But...wait. If he's awake, that means he might have heard me singing... At this point, it was Tova's turn to turn pinkish.
Psychemon looked up at her, half-asleep. "Heeeeyyyy....it's a tomato with hair. Cooooooool...." He promptly fell totally asleep again, and Tova was left alone with her thoughts.
Takashi sighed. At least that got Juuso out of his hair. He sighed again. He would have MORE than willingly gone to sleep but with Aya on his lap, what chance did he have? Unless he were to move her. . . That brought about a good thought. Then he realized that she would still need some kind of body warmth. Just the thought brought about a blush on his face. Frowning, he decided to just do whatever he had planned. Softly, he lifted Aya slightly and laid himself on the floor. He laid HER down next to him and proceeded to fall fast asleep. During this WHOLE process, he hoped that she didn't wake up in ANY way.
Ishimon watched on curiously. 'Just WHAT is Takashi doing?' He asked himself. When the whole action was done and over with, he chuckled inwardly. 'Ahh. . . Poor boy, trying to act tough when he really isn't.' He walked over to Takashi and fell asleep, making sure that nothing would happen to the pair he was "assigned" to protect at this moment.
Eros wandered around the inactive village during the night. He walked around looking for anything to do.
"Ouf! Hey, who tripped me?" Eros asked. He looked down, and there was before him, a black gear. Eros lifted an eyebrow and approached it. It came to life and zoomed through the air away from the village.
Juuso stopped blushing, then he saw the pink on Tova's face. He instantly knew why Tova was blushing, Juuso was half asleep when Tova started singing.
"Hey, don't blush about your singing, you sing very good.." said Juuso and tried to get sleep, he was very tired now..
Tova smiled a little bit. "Thank you. You sing well, too," she said. "What language was that in?"
"Thanks.. I singed that song in Finnish.. I love the language." said Juuso. Then he noticed that something had fallen from his pocket to the ground, Juuso picked it up and showed it to Tova. "This wooden reindeer was made by my dead sister, I keep it as my lucky charm. It is the only thing I have left from him" said Juuso.
"Oh, it's pretty," Tova replied, moving a little closer to Juuso in order to see the reindeer. "Your sister must have been very talented to make something so nice." She smiled. "I don't have a lucky charm. This one looks like my brother's, though, that he got when we were still in Israel."
"Yeah, he was pretty talented in crafting something from wood. I never was as good as her in woodworks" smiled Juuso and putted the reindeer back to the pocket, he yawned and started laying in the ground, after a few minutes he was asleep..
Red beams of light shot through the window of Eros's hut. His eyes twitched, replying to the sunrise, and soon they were open wide showing off the olive green colour. Lucemon was still asleep, upon a small hammock in the corner.
"Hey, Lucemon, wake up! It's morning!" Eros called out while shaking the little cupid look alike. Lucemon woke up and fluttered around the hut.
"Good morning!" Lucemon said in the most annoying voice. Angel dust (NOT the drug!) was falling off his feathers and making the hut all sparkly. Lucemon then flew outside and blew a sun kiss to the sun.
"Good morning sun!" he said, he then blew kisses to everything else around, "Good morning digiworld!"
Hannah woke up soon after Eros did. The sun was still just beginning to rise.
"Beautiful, isn't it." commented Fukimon, who was already up.
"Uh-huh. Fukimon?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think we'll ever get home?"
"You will return to your home when you defeat the true evil lurking in this world. Unfortunately, I don't know when, if ever, that will happen."
"Bummer, " Hannah commented. She then noticed something, "Hey, Eros and Lucemon are up." she said, walking outside.
Juuso rubbed his eyes, it was morning already. He yawned and stood up, Hannah and Eros were outside.
"Good morning.." mumbled Juuso, he was still sleepy.
"Buon Georno everyone! Did you all sleep well? I sure did! I feel like a flower!" Eros said hyperly.
Isamon lifted his head, blinking sleep from his eyes. Smiling, he turned to nudge Kae awake, to find her shivering, flushed, and overheated. Yelping in surprise and worry, he jumped to his feet and nudged her gently with his snout.
"Kae? Kae!" He whispered fearfully. She moaned, and sat up, panting heavily. Her eyes were glazed, her hair matted and sweaty. She hung her goggles around her neck, then used her bandanna to mop her sweaty face.
"I dun't feel good..." She whimpered, curling up. Isamon paced around her, an anxious look on his face. Finally, the Digimon decided to get help from the other humans; they'd know what was ailing his Partner. He stuck his head out of the hut.
"Hey, something's wrong with Kae!" He called, anxious, concerned, and panicking.
Eros wandered in Kae's hut with a bowl of fruit he freshly picked.
"Rise and shine!" He said, then noticed Kae, "Oh, are you alright? Hungry, thirsty, headache?"
Juuso heard Isamon shouting, he ran to the hut were Kae was. Kae didn't look so good, he was sweating a lot.
"Darn.. I should have learned some first aid when I was younger... Try to survive Kae I'll get the others!" shouted Juuso.
"Hey!, we need help here! Does anyone here know first aid?" yelled Juuso to the others and ran back to Kae.
"Please.. Don't die, or something similar. I Don't want anyone else to die, my sister was too much.. But if someone else die's, it would just be a mental breakdown." whispered Juuso.
"Oh, you're ever so encouraging." Kae rasped, glowering at Juuso before closing her tired eyes, though not falling asleep. "I'm really, really thirsty..." She whispered, clutching her bandanna desperately in her hands, her hair clinging to her face. Isamon paced frantically by his Partner, worried to the point of panic.
"Hmm.. you're thirsty? I can get some water, or something" said Juuso and ran to the nearest lake.
"A bucket could be used to get some water" thought Juuso, he looked to the ground, and somehow there was a bucket there.
"Interesting, now some water" thought Juuso and started gathering water and took them to Kae.
"There you go" smiled Juuso.
"I don't know what she has," Hannah said, looking at Kae, "I don't know first aid either."
"I don't know what first aid is," Fukimon said, "But I know a few herbal remedies that digimon use. Maybe they'll help Kae. Come on, Hanny, we'll go look for some herbs." And they headed off into the nearby woods.
Juuso stayed in the hut with Kae, just in case.. if something even badder happens..
Tamagomon had slept under that berry bush, and his stomach grumbled.
"Oowww... I... ate... too... many... berries..."
He burped.
Aya's eyes slowly opened as light filled the hut. She found Takashi, who quite close to her. Aya's hands are around him. She immediately let go.
"AHHH! WHO ARE YOU?!"
She blinked, then thought, "...Oooohh... yeah... Takashi-kun... Tee-hee. Thought it was all a dream. Again. Gotta get used to the fact that it isn't..."
Seto had been banging at his digivice through the morning. "Work, you stupid thing! This horrible place is going to take everyone, one by one!"
Auroramon got angry, "Horrible place!?! Well this horrible place is my home. I've been waiting a long time for you to get here, Seto, and you're not going anywhere."
They continued walking through the forest, Seto banging away.
Takashi groaned, starting to awaken. He had heard Aya's words but not too clearly so all he really heard was, "Ahh. . . you. . ." He shook his head and rubbed his eyes. First face he saw was Aya's. At first he blinked a couple of times then he thought to himself. 'Right. . She was with me. . .' He stood up afterwards and poked Ishimon to wake him up. "Ishimon. It's morning time."
The dog digimon in question fidgeted and woke up too. "Oh. . . Good morning Takashi."
Takashi nodded, "Morning to you too." He turned to Aya. "You okay?" He asked, remembering what happened.
Aya nodded, "Yep. Don't worry, it happens all the time... I'm used to it." She smiled and jumped on him, hugging him tightly, "Awww! YOU WERE SO GALLANT!! You were a great protector! You CARE ABOUT ME!"
Eros took a damp rag and put it on Kae's forehead. He then took out a small packet from his bag.
"Eros, what is that?" Lucemon asked.
"Tylenol" Eros replied.
"Does it make you go crazy like this?" Lucemon asked, then demonstrated craziness.
"Umm...no..."
Takashi slightly jumped. He really hadn't expected her to JUMP onto him. He blushed for a split second but he quickly willed it away. He pushed away Aya, looking straight at her. "Listen. I may have helped you last night. But only because I don't like to see it when people die in front of my eyes. So do NOT mistake my actions for care. I help those who need it. But that doesn't mean I care for them, Understood?" He said, his voice cold yet strangely calm.
Eros knocked on the hut door of Takashi and Aya then opened it.
"You guys have any tea leaves I can use? Kae has a high fever and herbal tea will help"
Aya sighed, and looked over at Eros, "... No...sorry... Is Kae okay?" She got up, and shook her head.
She put a hand over her hair, and noticed her hair was a mess.
"...Oh damn..."
She shook her head to get some hair out of her eyes, and sighed, "Be right back."
She exited the hut.
Tova yawned and woke up. As usual, she was last up and slowly walked outside, with Psychemon blearily following her.
Upon seeing Kae, her eyes widened. "What happened? Are you all right, Kae?"
Tova kneeled on the ground next to Kae and watched worriedly. Why do I always get up late?
Takashi frowned. Half because of Kae and the other half because of Aya. 'Oh lord. Don't tell me I actually DO care about that. . .' He left the thought unfinished and walked out of his current hut and into that of the rest of them. "Is Kae okay?" He asked, wondering what could be wrong. Even IF he hadn't wanted to become a doctor, he still had the qualifications for it.
Kae managed to send a grateful look in Eros's direction before he left, and one to Juuso before she drank thirstily from the bucket. Her chest felt like it was on fire, and every time she breathed it felt so... squeezed, it hurt. The water helped a little, but her voice was raspy and pained as she answered Tova's question. "I don't think so..." She murmured, poking at her bandanna. She didn't know what to do with it; she needed the damp cloth to stay on her forehead, and it kept her overheated when she had the bandanna on, anyway. Spotting Isamon right by her, she tied the blue-with-green-stripes bandanna around his neck. Pleased, but exhausted by such little exertion, she lay back on the floor, shivering even though she felt so hot and... the pain was too much to describe. A feeling of dizziness was constantly biting at her head, and the slightest movement - including the shivering, which she couldn't control - made her feel nauseous. Aya walked outside, a frustrated look in her face. "After all that he STILL denies!" she grumbled, "What a LIAR!" She went beside a small lake, and washed her face. She reached into her handbag and pulled out a comb, and started combing out her beautiful blonde hair. "Still, can't let this little camping trip spoil my good looks!" She pulled out her Digivice, "...I wonder if it still works... like normal." She pushed a couple buttons, but nothing happened but little beeps, "Aww... I'll have to clean it up manually..." She washed her face and took some of the leftover eyeliner out. Then she put some new one on. And some new eyeshadow. And lipstick. At the end, she was covered in make-up. "There!" she said with a smile, "You beautiful one, you!" She laughed highspiritedly. "Now you're ready to set your MARK!" she said with a grin, "That Takashi will PAY FOR LYING!" "Hey Aya, if you really want him to notice you, try this," Eros said while handing her a black spray bottle, "It is called Axe, it attracts the opposite gender when one wears it. Comes in many different aromas!" Eros then noticed a single mint leaf growing just outside "Tea leaf! Hehe! Wait...now I feel British..." Aya thought aloud to herself, "'Axe' eh...?" She sprayed a little in the air, and sniffed it, "Hmm... not bad." She sprayed it all over herself, "Tee-hee, better than toilet water!" Then she heard groaning. "...Oh no." She rushed over to a nearby bush, "Hey wormy-Digi-thingy! Did you have fuuuuuuu~N last night?" Tamagomon groaned again. "...What happened?" she said, spraying some more Axe on herself. "...Ate too many... Eeeeewww... what's that smell?!" "It's the AXE EFFECT!" "...It STINKS!" "Ha! It does to YOU! But it'll be irresistible on Takashi-kun!" "...I wouldn't be surprised if he ran away." "..."
