Kyrainia was mentally freaking out at the situation going on, though the only bit of that you'd be able to tell was her quickened swimming and mumbled curses. She watched as Chris got hit with a slightly panicked amusement, swimming harder as a result. She really wasn't in the mood to die at the moment, no matter how much she lead others to believe otherwise.

Mushroomon, meanwhile, was looking at Wollymon. "I know!! I know!! I need to help, but I dun know how!!" He felt ready to cry as well.

"Well, we could... we could... JUMP INTO THE WATER!!" Wollymon started bouncing energetically, getting ready to leap, but then stopped just as suddenly. "Wait! Better idea! THEM!" He set off wildly towards Sayu, who'd just arrived with her Digimon. "PLEASE! Our partners are down there!! We can't digivolve, and Thian isn't even awake, and he's gonna drown, and you've gotta help them, PLEASE!!" He groveled on the ground, pleading indiscriminately to Damen, Sayu, and Maildramon.

If this had been asked of Sayu when she'd first met the others, the answer would have been a definite 'go to hell and let Anubis eat you.' Now, though, Sayu hesitated, and glanced towards the water, where Metalseadramon was currently attempting to attack and eat the other Digidestined. Sayu frowned.

"Fine," she sneered haughtily. "But it wouldn' be fer you. I'm no fool. Y'idiots may've tried to be friends wit' me, but no matter wha' I lose, I'll always have my pride. So I fight - but I fight for myself!" Sayu proclaimed, eyes flashing. Then, something began to glow, bright bronze. Sayu blinked in confusion, then pulled up the tag and crest she wore. The crest of Pride was glowing. "Wha -- ?" She never got to finish that sentence, because something odd started happening to her Digimon.

"Maildramon Digivolve to... Pteranomon!" Where Maildramon had been was a huge, dragon-like pterodactyl-thing. He was all black, except for his eyes, which glowed green. He had no arms, but large wings instead, and his legs were more meant for getting a good take off from the ground then walking.

Sayu stared at him, eyes wide, jaw moving soundlessly.

Metalseadramon, seeing the flash of light, paused in his attack to see what happened. He was startled to see his former servant transformed into a giant dragon-pterodactyl-like Digimon, but quickly recovered it. In fact, he let out a bark of laughter.

"You fool! You think one Ultimate, a couple of Champions and Rookies, and an In-Training can defeat me?" With that, he reared up farther out of the water, then headed straight towards Fiona.

Fiona screamed, covered her eyes and tried to hide behind Isthian (the third of which was pretty unsuccessful). Not that any of it helped much. What had she done to deserve this? She should've run away from that blasted computer in the first place. Then she'd still be at home... bored, of course, but she'd rather be bored than dead.

Penguinmon jumped in front of his partner to try and save her. "Endleaaaah... FIONA!" The girl had grabbed him and screamed, squeezing him tighter and tighter. "Fiona! I can't... do... anything... if... you... cut... off... my... air... SUPPLY!" All the way, Metalseadramon began coming closer and closer. Penguinmon began glowing. "Penguinmon digivolved to... SABIRDRAMON!"

Wollymon squealed with joy. "THANK YOU! THAT'S WONDERFUL!" He stuck his tongue out at MetalSeadramon. "WE'LL BEAT YOU!! WAIT AND SEE!!"

He then realized something rather important. "AAAAHHH!! HE'S ATTACKING!!!" Wollymon bounced against Fiona to try to force her away from the edge. "We've gotta get away!"

Chris blinked. "Maildramon... digivolved?" He looked over at Tekumon, who was still huddled on Shiisamon's back, and sighed. "Think we're out of this battle, for now." He then kept on swimming rapidly, not noticing Fiona's distress or Penguinmon's digivolution.

Pteranomon flew into the air, glaring down at Metalseadramon. "I will defeat you! Because... ahm... that's what Digidestined do! AHAHAHAHA - OW!" Sayu had thrown a rock at his head.

"Stop showin' off and fight, ya good fer nothin' idiot!" She shrieked at him. Pteranomon, though about ten times bigger than her, meeped in fear and nodded hastily.

"Right, right! Side Winder!" He dove at Metalseadramon, and a golden aura surrounded him. At the last possible moment, he turned onto his side, and instead of tackling the Mega Digimon, he flapped his wings and a large amount of electricity shot at Metalseadramon.

Metalseadramon hissed with pain, and pulled out of the attack by diving underwater. The next thing Pteranomon knew, a "River of Power" attack had caught him in the stomach, and Metalseadramon, deciding that a planned attack with his minions present might go better - who knew what the Digidestined were capable of? - so he swam off, screaming back at the 'Destined, "I'll be back, you pesky brats!"

Pteranomon, meanwhile, had fallen into the sea. He was able to use his wings as a way to stay floating on the water, because he couldn't swim in this form. "That was mean," He muttered, as his stomach throbbed. "Oww... Oh, let's get you all out of here." He turned to the Digidestined. "Whoever needs a ride out of the water, climb onto my back."

Sayu, meanwhile was fuming about the enemy 'running away,' and was, for no good reason, sullenly glaring at anyone not in the water.

"HURRAH!!" cried Wollymon, bouncing about ecstatically. "HE'S GONE, HE'S GONE! WE WON!!!!" He leaped joyously into the air and gave Sayu a biiiig kiss on the cheek. "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!"

Sayu twitched. Then, she grabbed up Wollymon and pulled his cheeks as far as they would go, and still kept pulling.

"What the HELL was THAT for?!" She shrieked angrily. "Don't you EVER do that AGAIN!" She then threw him as far as she could - away from the water, of course, she didn't want to have to save anyone else ever again. Grumbling loudly about stupid romantic weaklings, she edged away from the others to examine her crest more closely.

Chris stopped swimming and started to tread water. "We... won already? All right then!" He swam over to Shiisamon and climbed back on board. "Where to now?"

Christo climbed back onto Shiisamon, dragging Isthian on with her. Shiisamon grumbled at the extra weight.

Christo shivered in her wet clothing. "Something tells me we haven't won yet," she said quietly. Louder, she called to the others, "So do we go out to sea, or what? I don't think we'll be able to get up that cliff in a hurry."

"You're forgetting who just digivolved," said Sabirdramon, taking off and stretching his wings a bit. He looked down at Fiona. "Sorry I didn't really digivolve in time to do anything." Sabirdramon then swooped down again.

"OHMYGODABIGGIANTBIRDISATTACKINGMEOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD!" Fiona shouted, running away as her partner landed.

Kamika had hardly just BLINKED when the battle was over. . . Of course two digimon had also digivolved to the ultimate stage and that wasn't that short but still! She made her way to the whole group along with Puttimon who was still on her head. "Er. . . Wasn't a couple of people on shore?" She asked scratching her head at the same time, trying to remember if that was true.

Wollymon squealed loudly as he flew through the air and rolled bumpily along the grass. "I'M SOOORRRRYYYYYY!! AAAND THAAAANK YOUUUU!!!!"

Down on top of Shiisamon, Isthian groaned weakly, and seemed to be struggling to keep his eyes closed.

Pteranomon blinked. His energy was fading, fast. "...Uh-oh. Nevermind, I don't think I can give any rides... Eeep!" Pternanomon hurried to get himself onto the cliff, before de-Digivolving into...

Sayu turned to stare at her Digimon. Then, she burst out laughing.

"...Oh, shut up." Muttered Aemon, who was a little blob with two tiny webbed feet and a stump of a tail, with huge, innocent green eyes, huge, exaggerated wing-like ears, and a stubby little horn on his head. Oh, and did I mention that he was bright, neon pink?

Wollymon squealed in delight as he bounced back over to the group. "YAAAAY! I'VE GOT A FRIEND NOW!!" He grinned broadly at Aemon. "It's so nice not being the only one! And I don't think it's funny at all!" he said, frowning suddenly at Sayu. "What he did was very brave, and he did it for you! You shouldn't make fun of him for that."

Sayu glared at Wollymon, and kicked him again. Aemon sighed, and shook his head... as well as he could.

"He had it coming," He mumbled, and Sayu, irritated with his way-too-squeaky voice, chucked him after Wollymon.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee..." Aemon screeched as he went flying. Sayu scowled.

"Stupid squeaky annoying li'l..." She grumbled under her breath, glowering at the others, as if daring them to make her even more irritated.

Chris sighed. Sayu was definitely back to normal... booting around the little ones. Would she ever change? Ehh. Probably not. "Don't you think we should get out of the water before Metalseadramon comes back? Aren't you getting tired of treading water with us on your back, Shiisamon?"

"Kinda." said Shiisamon, spluttering as water went up her nose.

"How are we supposed to get up the cliff again?" asked Christo, sliding off Shiisamon's back and into the water.

Chris shrugged. "Too much trouble- I'd rather go find one of those tropical islands Thi was talking about. Sound good?"

Isthian gave in, and opened his eyes. "I keep telling everyone," he said, weakly but much annoyed, "the tropics aren't across the ocean, they're across the desert! The ocean would make too much sense!" He broke off to have a coughing fit.

"Uh... didn't we already cross the desert from the forest to get to the ocean? I saw no tropics, and since we've gone from mountain to factory to forest to ocean, and kept moving the same direction, west, I'd think it'd be wise to keep going the same way."

"Whatever, Isthian," said Christo, "But I want to find out what's across the sea. No point going back to where we've been already."

Thian glared dully at the others. "Fine! Whatever! I give up! I'm too tired to argue, and you," he poked Shiisamon, "are not as soft as you could possibly be. I'll go wherever you wanna go, as long as I don't have to swim! But what," he asked, "is up," he pointed at the clifftop, "with her?" This was, of course, referring to the running, screaming Fiona, who was nicely visible against the cloudy sky.

Shiisamon growled at Isthian, preparing to tip him into the water.

"Don't you dare!" Christo hissed into her partners ear.

Chris grabbed Isthian. "I don't much feel like taking another bath, so why don't you stop with the comments and just enjoy the ride? And about Fiona... she's your girlfriend. Why don't you take care of her? Maybe a good smooch on the lips would shut her up."

Kamika gave a giggle as she heard Chris's comment. Shaking her head (and almost knocking Puttimon off in the process), she took Chris's hand off of Isthian and replied cheerfully, "That does sound like a good idea except we might not be able to find Isthian afterwards. . . So how about we just go over to her and find some way to calm her down, I suggest," she thought of what she just said and then added, "Of course we just have to find out HOW to do that."

"Yeah..." Thian brushed his dripping hair back from his forehead. "I feel bad enough, I don't think I need another whack. And Digi-thingy, sorry 'bout that. Doubt soft'd be good for fighting. Just isn't nice for my aching side!"

He sat up carefully, leaning heavily against his right arm, and used his left hand to pull up his shirt slightly. "Wow... look at that! I feel like someone's been kicking me, but my shirt's not even torn, and I don't have a scratch! What kind of attack WAS that?!"

Tekumon piped up. "An attack that really should have deleted you." He blinked for a moment. "Not that I wanted it to, though! Nothing of the sort!"

Puttimon gave a giggle as she held onto Kamika's hair, slightly making her partner rethink their sitting arrangement. "Me thinks thou dost protest too much," she squealed.

Kamika rose an eyebrow. "And me thinks thou is hyper."

Puttimon looked at her curiously, "Now how can I of all people be HYPER?" she scoffed at the thought.

With a snort, Kamika replied, "Now who protests too much?" At the words, Puttimon just crossed her arms and frowned cutely.

"Oh, yeah, of course you didn't." Isthian rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out slightly at Tekumon. "Guess I'm just special then. I mean, my Digimon did get all super-spiffy-like, and that was pretty cool!" He paused for a moment, then cocked his head and grinned. "Or maybe you just underestimate humans! 'cause we're pretty strong, too, you know!"

Tekumon shrugged. "I still think humans are pretty silly in general, like Fiona up there. Now, about getting her down from that cliff..." He aimed his robotic arm at the area of the cliff that Fiona was running and screaming on. "Bit Blaster!" His arm morphed into a machine-gunlike thing, and shot a stream of small pellets at the cliff. The section of cliff Fiona was on subsequently collapsed into the ocean, and Fiona fell along with it. She landed with a loud splash. Tekumon morphed his arm back and smiled. "That takes care of that."

Fiona screamed as she fell, and screamed some more while she was in the water. Then as Sabirdramon swooped down to save her, she screamed again. Today was not a good day for Fiona.

"Really, Fiona, it's me! Penguinmon! Just... different! STOP SCREAMING! I'm not trying to kill you, for God's sake..." Still Fiona would not go near him. Sabirdramon sighed. "I wish I didn't have to come to this... FIONA! QUICK! THERE'S A SHARK IN THE WATER!"

Fiona screamed and clambered onto one of her partner's claws, and he flew her quickly back to shore.

Sayu watched all of this with something akin to disgust. Then, she decided that she wanted to taunt them. So she sat on the cliff, and pointed and laughed at her teammates in the water.

Aemon, meanwhile, was seeing if he could fly with his huge wing-ears. Flap flap flap flap SMACK. Ooops.

"Sorry, Wollymon!" He apologized sheepishly. He'd hit the other In-Training with one of his ears.

"DAAAAHHH!! HEY!!! YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HER!!" Thian grabbed Tekumon and started shaking him roughly. "NO KILLING MY GIRLFRIEND!!!!!"

Wollymon squealed and flew back inland again. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!" Once he'd rolled to a stop, however, he just bounced back to the cliff again. "Not a problem!" he said with a giggle. "That was actually kinda fun!"

"HEY! Let go of my digimon!" Chris yanked Isthian off of Tekumon. "He was just trying to help!" Unfortunately, it didn't work... "FIONA! GET DOWN HERE!"

Kamika sweatdropped, "Er. . . Right. . . Shouldn't we have more than one digimon? It'd be slightly hard for us to travel. . . I think. . ." she coughed afterwards as though to hide her embarrassment.

Puttimon shook her head, "How long have we been sitting here?" she asked curiously.

"Ow!" yelped Thian as Chris started pulling at him. "Hey, hey! I'm injured, here! War-wounds! Have some respect!" He glared at Chris. "Besides, your Digimon just tried to kill that girl you're now trying to get to help us. Actually, that you both are," he said as an afternote, looking at Kamika. "If that bird-thingy really is hers, at least."

Chris was looking up at the cliff, wondering how to get everyone else down without killing anyone, when he heard a familiar voice in his head... <I'M BACK, WORM!>

Sayu was still sullenly on the cliff, glaring at the water. Suddenly, she realized she still had the oddly-jeweled dagger she'd gotten from Betamon's cave. Blinking, then smirking, she took it out to examine it. Then, she frowned as she noticed that the silver jewel had dulled to a gray-black. Huh? Hey, wasn't that Podima's crest-thing...?

Chris's eyes, unnoticed to everyone else, turned a faint red. He coughed, and chuckled for a moment. He then turned to Tekumon, and said in a slightly fakey-nice voice "Tekumon, if you wouldn't mind, your idea worked so well for Fiona, why don't you do it for Sayu up there?"

Tekumon blinked. "But... didn't it just piss Fiona off? And wouldn't Sayu be a lot more dangerous?"

"Chris" growled, and suddenly looked a lot meaner. "JUST DO IT, USELESS THING!"

Tekumon yelped. "Whatever you say!" He aimed his arm at the cliff under Sayu, morphed it into a machine-gun thingy, and shot out the cliff under her.

Sayu yelped as the ground beneath her crumbled, and she fell into the water. Having seen the same thing happen to Fiona, she knew who'd done it, and she swore to kill Podima ASAP... if she lived through this. "GRLLLP!" She whined, as she began sinking. Sayu couldn't swim, but she tried desperately to - she kicked her legs, and managed to get above water briefly to get a spluttering mouthful of air, and scream, "I'M GONNA KILL YOU PODIMA! YOU ARE SO DEAD!" before she sunk beneath the water again.

The voice inside Chris' head chuckled. <Heh... Created more problems for you again. Have a nice day, worm! Enjoy my handiwork!> Then it was gone, and Chris's eyes changed back to normal. He blinked. "CRAP! He's back... Sayu? HEY! She's drowning!" Chris immediately jumped off Shiisamon and swam over to Sayu. "Here, let me help you!" He grabbed her (ironically, in a way that pinned both her arms) and started swimming over to Shiisamon with her.

Sayu stiffened. She didn't squirm - she didn't want to drown - but she hissed angrily. He was HELPING her?! That... that... Grrrrrr! 'I hate him!' Sayu thought angrily to herself. 'I hate him!' Actually, that was an understatement. Sayu had just reached a new level of hate. As soon as she was on Shiisamon, she struggled out of his grip, clung tightly to Shiisamon with one hand, and attempted to stab at Chris with her dagger with the other. Apparently, though, the dagger didn't want to hit Chris, because it rebounded and she went toppling over, barely hanging on to Shiisamon with one hand. "What is this thing?!" She hissed vehemently, glaring at the dagger as she climbed back onto Shiisamon.

Chris climbed back on Shiisamon, too. "Whew... are you all right, Sayu? You almost drowned... I'm sorry that happened."

Sayu glowered at him. The Egyptian could look quite intimidating when she wanted to. If she hadn't been so water-logged and cold, she would've punched him. "Just die, Podima." She grumbled. "Just drop dead! And whatever creature'o Set that keeps possessin' you is, let it know that next time it tries somethin' like that, I'm ganna kill it!" She proclaimed, voice full of hatred and scorn. Then, she froze. How had she... why did she... She didn't know how, but she'd subconsciously known he was possessed... hang on... "What IS this thing?!" She repeated, staring blankly at the dagger, which flashed tauntingly in the light.

Chris blinked. "Wait a second... how did you know I was possessed? I didn't say that! And how did you get that dagger?!" He hurriedly put some space between himself and the sharp object.

Sayu growled. "I dunno how I knew... An' I got it back in th' cave. An' it won' hit you, even if I wanned it too." Just to give an example, she thrust it at him again, hoping it would actually prove her wrong, but it only rebounded again without touching him and sent her flying backwards again. "Ermf." She grumbled as she climbed back onto Shiisamon.

"ACK!" Chris had dodged anyway when she tried to stab him, and almost fell off. "Er, that's kinda... cool... Looks cool, too. What are those markings on it?"

Sayu sneered. "The crests, idiot. See, that un's mine, and yers sorta went blackish-gray when you were possessed..." Then she realized she was actually engaging in conversation with Podima, and she scowled darkly at him, before kicking him off Shiisamon and turning her back on him, grumbling to herself about stupid jerks who were weak enough to get possessed.

"ACK!" Chris was pushed off of Shiisamon, and climbed back on.... very carefully. "Some people just don't know how to be grateful..."

"Girls can be bad at that," mumbled Isthian while looking warily at Sayu. "Gotta say, though," he said aloud, pinging Tekumon with a finger, "this little Digi-dude is causing a LOT of trouble. Is there any chance you could stop shooting at us for a minute, huh?"

Wollymon boggled at the cliff, which was rapidly becoming decimated. "Errr..."

"YOU IDIOT!!!!!!!!" Christo screamed at Chris, "YOU ARE AN IDIOT AND YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HER, IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

'Although, that might have been a good thing.' she thought, eyeing Sayu. However, she continued to bawl out Chris until, eventually, she ran out of different ways to call him an idiot, so she compromised with shoving him roughly as she pulled herself back onto Shiisamon.

"Ack... too heavy..." Shiisamon slooowly began to sink...

"Hey, what's that?" Christo asked, curiously looking at Sayu's dagger and its weird markings. "A black teardrop?" she muttered, pointing at one, "Who the flip has black tears?"

"Errr... um, hey, uh, as great as things to kill people with are, er... has anybody noticed that we're... SINKING?!" Isthian scrambled further up Shiisamon (probably not helping her any), and tried to sit on her head. "Women, children, and the injured first!"

Sayu paled visibly. Sinking...? As in, getting closer to the water? Oh Ra. Sayu for the first, and probably last, time, followed Isthian's lead and climbed as high as she could on Shiisamon - which was, conveniently, on top of Isthi.

Aemon watched this with mild concern. "If I could digivolve, I'd do something about that." He squeaked at Wollymon. "But seeing as how I can't at the moment, I'll just... stay here and watch. Yeah."

Shiisamon woke up as two people attempted to sit on her head and began to paddle frantically, splashing rather and probably tipping people into the water.

"Get OFF my head!" she growled at Isthian and Sayu.

"Ack!" Isthian scrambled and squirmed, trying to get Sayu off of his own head. "I would if I could, but I can't, so I..." He reached around and grabbed Sayu's arm, or something like it. "Aha! Gotcha!" He tugged awkwardly, since his arm was behind his back, and tried to somehow take advantage of the situation.
