A small groan escaped his lips and he turned so he was laying on his back. "What happened?" he muttered, opening his eyes and squinting through the sudden burst of light. He gasped and clumsily rose to his feet. "Dai?" he called. He was no longer in his friend's room playing on his laptop. He found himself on the outskirts of a forest, all alone save for the device in his hand... "Maybe I'm just dreaming," he muttered. But he knew this was no dream. It was all very real.

"Hyosuke?" The boy spun around and surprised expression flooded across his face. Standing before him was a small black dog with ice blue eyes. "Good. I was wondering when you would come. I am Chuujitsumon, your partner."

"Nani?" he asked, now thoroughly confused. "I think you have the wrong boy... I'm just a normal 15 year old."

"You are Arakawa Hyosuke, are you not?" the dog questioned.

The boy nodded.

"So I thought. But you are no longer a normal 15 year old. You are a digidestined, chosen to save the digital world."

"Uh huh... Lemme get this straight. I'm supposed to save a world? As much as I would love to help you, I don't think I can."

Chuujitsumon shook his head. "That's where I come in. Don't worry. It will all be explained in more detail later. But first, we have to find the others."

Serenity woke up near the beach. "Where am I?" she groaned. "One minute I was home watching Yu-Gi-Oh and I'm transported here. What is going on here?"

She pulled out her lavender digivice before facing the weird harpoon digimon. "We're the Scubamon and you have just trespassed on our beach. Now prepare to suffer."

"What?" was all Serenity said before she faced a white kitten digimon.

"Get away from her." the kitten said. "Cat's Beam." The attack met and put them to sleep. "I'm Venikumon," she said. "I'm your partner."

Chuujitsumon trotted happily ahead and Hyosuke had no choice but to follow. They walked in silence for a minute, the dog always a few paces in front of him. "You're so slow," Chuujitsumon commented, turning and cocking his head at his tamer. "You're digivice is glowing."

"Pardon?" The boy glanced down at the device in his hand. "Oh, this?"

"No. That other digivice that you have," the digimon replied sarcastically.

The boy ignored him, focusing on the two dots on the screen. One was blue and the other was lavender. "What does that mean? Those colored dots?"

"They represent you and any other tamer. You should probably try to find him or her."

Hyosuke nodded, turning so he was walking in the direction of the lavender dot. He paused, the scent of salt water thick in the air.

"What? Can't swim?" Chuujitsumon teased.

"Basically, yeah."

"Get over it. This way."

Hyosuke sighed, wondering why he was listening to a talking dog. Instants later, he saw a girl standing on the beach next to a cat. "Konichiwa!" he called, running over to her. "I'm Arakawa Hyosuke. Pleasure to meet you."

Serenity and Venikumon turned around to face the boy with a dog digimon. The boy was sort of cute to her.

"Hello." Serenity said. "I'm Serenity Winters and this is Venikumon. Do you have one of these weird digivices like this?" She showed her lavender digivice to Hyosuke.

The boy nodded, showing her his blue device. "How did you get here? There was this message on my laptop, something about saving the world. I clicked ok, this popped out of the screen, and I woke up here. Pretty weird, huh?" he replied, flashing her a smile.

"So nice of you to introduce me," the dog shot.

"Gomen," the boy answered, a guilty look crossing his face. "This is Chuujitsumon. Apparently, he's my digimon."

"I was watching Yu-gi-Oh." Serenity said, before facing Chuujitsumon. "Apparently all I saw was monsters without the duelists and then I woke up here. Before I got the chance to look at this weird device next to me, I attacked by a couple of those weird fish things."

Venikumon looked at her. "Umm Serenity," Venikumon said. "Those are Scubamons, they're very dangerous. We better go soon before they wake up again, they like to attack those on their on their turf." She then turned to Chuujitsumon. "I never thought you wind up with a human boy," she said. "Not that I'm offended."

Chuujitsumon. "I never thought I would either. Funny how things turn out." He gently nudged Hyosuke in the back of the leg. "Come on. We really do need to get out of here. I don't really want to get into a fight right now."

Hyosuke nodded. "Where to?"

"Besides these Scubamons made me lose my appetite for fish," Venikumon said as she and Serenity lead the way. "Besides I know a place we can go that is safe."

"Where's that?" he asked and without waiting for a reply, adding, "Where are you from, Serenity? I'm from Osaka, Japan."

"I'm from Frankfurt, Germany." she said. "Anyway where can we go, Venikumon?"

Venikumon looked at them with her green eyes.

"I know a place," she said, as she lead the way into the forest. "There's at least an inn in the middle of the forest. We can rest up there."

"Awesome. Don't think I've met someone from Germany before." The boy rose as eyebrow at the digimon's reply. "You have inns here? Cool."

Chuujitsumon rolled his eyes, muttering something under his breath.

Serenity looked at Hyosuke and Chuujitsumon as they continued to follow Venikumon. "That's nice," Serenity said. "I've never met someone from Japan though."

Venikumon looked at them after they have finally arrived at the inn. "Before we enter," Venikumon said, "I have to get the ok from Renamon herself before we continue in." Venikumon walked towards Renamon.

"My old friend, what can I do for you?" Renamon said.

"You can let us have a room inside your inn." Venikumon said, pointing to the left claw at Serenity, Hyosuke and Chuujitsumon. "The two humans that Chuujitsumon and I are with digidestines and they're here to help out."

The girl's jade colored eyes shunned, as she glanced into the Ocean near the inn. Her black dred-locked hair hung slightly into her eyes as her hands wrapped around her knees. Camouflage pants mostly covered her black combat boots as Grace wondered where she had wound up. Spiked bracelets grabbed her wrists tightly as her black tattered shirt fluttered gently in the wind. -How did I get here? she asked herself as she looked at the beeping device that was nestled in the sand next to her. Three colored dots flickered on the screen as the girl stood up. She stuck the digivice into her pocket and began to walk, feeling that she had to do something to get more information about where she was.

There was a rustle in the grass and she glanced back to an odd-looking creature. No definition could explain him. His eyes were a dull yellow, and his peach-fuzz fur was a glossy black color. It was Impmon, in a more drawn-out and smarter version. "Grace!" Impmon stated. "I've been waiting a long time for you!"

Grace's eyebrows rose. "Great, a kid in a Halloween costume," she gave a sigh of disappointment. "Will this chaos never end!"

The boy glanced at the inn and digimon with wide eyes, mouth hanging open slightly. There was a faint beep from the device in his hand. He glanced at it and saw that there was a scarlet dot near the lavender and blue. "I think we have company. Want me to go find them and met you here? Or should be both go? Whatever pleases you," he added with a grin.

Impmon peered back to Grace. "This is just the beginning!" he explained.

Grace mumbled something or other back. Then she looked up again. "How do you even know my name?.." she asked.

"It's a long story," the digimon replied. "By the way, I'm Impmon!" he proclaimed. "Now, shouldn't we look for the others, Grace?" he asked.

The part having to do with looking for others went into one ear, and out the other for the girl. "The name's Ray!" she snapped back as she began to walk.

"Alas, I got the room," Venikumon said. "What?"

"We got company," Serenity said, checking her digivice. She saw a dark scarlet dot nearby. "We better check it out," she said.

The boy nodded. "Let's go then." He soon saw a girl with another digimon. "Konichiwa!" he called loudly. "I'm Arakawa Hyosuke and this is Chuujitsumon. I take it you are another digidestined?"

Serenity looked at the girl and Impmon. "I'm Serenity Winters," she said. "And this is Venikumon. Do you have one of those weird devices that we have?" She held up her lavender digivices.

Blake woke up near the beach. This doesn't look like Ireland to him, one minute he was home playing on his X-Box and the next he's on the beach.

"Where the bloody hell am I?" he said as he came face with a crab-like monster. "What are you?"

"Hello Blake," the crab said. "I'm Ganimon. You're here to save this world along with your own."

"My what?" Blake questioned, still freaked out about what's going on. "Save the World?! You're crazy. I'm only 17, and I can't do this alone."

"Maybe you won't have to," Ganimon said, facing her partner. "That's where I come in with the others. Take a look at your digivice."

Blake who was still confused did what Ganimon asked of him. He saw that she was right since there was a deep scarlet dot along with a blue dot and a lavender dot. I do sense them nearby, he thought as they both ran towards the three dots.

"Hello, I'm Blake," he said, making sure that his spiky blonde hair was clear from the sand. "And this is Ganimon."

Serenity looked at Hyosuke and the other girl before the boy with Ganimon. "Hello," she said. "I'm Serenity Winters and this is Venikumon. She's my digimon."

The kitten digimon nodded her head. "Ganimon," she said, facing her friend, "long time no see."

The boy smiled at the new boy. "Konichiwa. Arakawa Hyosuke and Chuujitsumon. Nice to meet you both." He turned back to Serenity. "Do you think we should all head back to the inn?"

Impmon nodded, agreeing that they should go back to the inn. "I'm Impmon, by the way, this is Gra-"

Grace cut Impmon off before he could finish. "It's 'Ray'!" she replied bluntly. Grace's jade blue eyes peered at the newcomers. "Does anyone have any information as to where we are?" she asked as she began to walk.

"Some sort of digital world. Chuujitsumon was trying to explain it to me..." Hyosuke replied.

The dog nodded. "You are the digidestined and you are hear to save this Digital world, as some of your partners may have already told you. I'm probably not the best one to explain it."

"Nice to meet you," Blake said, nicely to Serenity and Hyosuke before facing Grace and Impmon. "Ray?! Give me a bloody brake. Ray's a boy's name and you're not a.... Owww! Ganimon."

Ganimon pinched her partner's leg just on time before he could lash out more insults at Grace. "Let this be a reminder, Blake," Ganimon said. "You're here to help Ray, Hyosuke and Serenity preserve 3,000 years of peace in the Digital World. The last thing I need is you lashing out insults at someone you barely know for four minutes."

Serenity looked at the others as she faced the sun setting. "We need to head back to the inn right away," Serenity said. "We can get to know each other when we're inside our room."

Venikumon looked at her as she remained calm

Grace turned and gave Blake a dead stare. She knew that Ray was a boy's name, that's why she preferred to be called by it. She was more than ready to put up a fight for it. Her jade blue eyes showed it. "Gra- Ray, calm down," Impmon said as he gently grabbed his new friend's arm.

Ray turned her attention to Serenity and Hyosuke again. "Let's get back to the inn," she said softly as she and Impmon continued to walk.

Blake returned her cold glare as he and Ganimon followed Grace, Hyosuke, Serenity and their digimon. I really don't like cold ones like her, he thought. I could use my psychic powers against her and slap her around.

"Where you guys from anyway?" he asked, ignoring Grace (Ray). "I'm from Dublin, Ireland."

Ganimon looked at him. "Keep your anger in check," she warned him. "The last thing we need is to have two digidestines against one another like that other group."

Hyosuke glanced down at the ground as the two glared at each other. "I hate when people fight," he muttered, more to himself than to anyone who was listening. It always brought back memories of his parents... He shook his head, hearing the boy's question. "Nani?" he asked. "Oh, Dublin, that's cool. I'm from Osaka, Japan."

"Would you two stop it?" Serenity asked. "Now isn't the time to fight. I'm from Frankfurt, Germany." Serenity looked at Hyosuke as Venikumon sweatdropped.

Blake and Ganimon walked on as they followed Serenity, Hyosuke, Ray and their digimon. He kept his distance from Grace alias Ray and Impmon as he caught up with the two. Serenity is very cute, Blake thought as he blushed at the brunette girl. But I can't let her know that I like her until the right time. And Grace, I don't really like her in fact I hope she rots.

"How did you two end up here?" Blake continued as the others reached the inn. "I was playing Dead or Alive 3 on my XBOX until I got sent here on this weird place."

Ganimon sweatdropped as she wondered how did she end up with someone who's closed minded with one of the digidestined as her partner.

"I was on my laptop and this weird message popped. Next thing I know, I was in the middle of a forest with Chuujitsu-san saying I was his partner."

The dog winced at the name. "Chuujitsumon," he corrected.

"I was at home, watching Yu-Gi-Oh on tv," Serenity said. "Before I knew it, I only saw the monsters and not the duelist who are playing them on the field. The next thing I knew was that I was on the beach being attacked by the weird fish like digimon until Venikumon saved me."

Grace continued to walk. She, too, wanted to rip the boy's guts out. Apparently as much as he wanted to do the same thing to her. She had never had any friends, and probably never would. Hence her isolation. A part of her wanted to just break down and cry. But she wouldn't. Ray was tougher than that. The girl's jade eyes pierced the sky as she thought about her parents. These memories were harsh, and she hated them, but they were there.

Impmon tapped her on the shoulder. "Ray," he stated. "Don't get angry. Like Ganimon said, the last thing we need is the group to be fighting!"

Ray gave a scowl under her breath. Then her fists began to un-curl. "You're right again," she sneered as she kept walking.

Hyosuke frowned slight and slowed down so he met her pace. "Are you okay? You look like you could use a friend." He smiled cheerfully, guessing that she would just get mad at him too. But it was worth a shot.

Blake kept his speed as he saw Hyosuke slowing down to get Grace and Impmon. If it's one thing he doesn't like is waiting on others as well as being alone. I never did have friends as well, he thought, remembering how much the kids at school tormented him for having weird powers. It was when I turned 14, that I learned my psychic abilities and that when torments became worse for me. My powers were the one responible for placing them in the hospital. Even though I wanted friends, I could never keep them. The blonde look out into the moonlight with his lavander eyes, realizing he was alone and will always be so. Ganimon looked at her partner.

"Blake, what is it?" she asked. "You got something on your mind."

"I don't want to talk about it," he said, dully.

Serenity looked at Blake and Ganimon before she slowed her pace as well and caught up with Hyosuke and Grace. "Blake," she said, facing him. "Ray is a human being. She needs friends and you're not helping out by being rude to her. She's got feelings like everyone else. Don't act like you're the only one who's isolated." She then turned to Grace.

A small grin was on Grace's face as she glanced at Hyosuke and Serenity. "Thanks guys," she stated.

Impmon gave a smile as well. "Maybe there is hope for this team!" he sarcastically remarked.

"Like I .. ouch!" Blake said, Ganimon pinching his leg again for the second time in a row. "Ganimon."

Ganimon glared at her partner. "Maybe this should teach you to shut up," she said. "You're not going to make friends by being rude to others. So shut up with your comments and help them out."

"Can we please just try to all get along? If we're always at each others' throats, we're not going to get anywhere!" Hyosuke yelled. "We supposed to fight the evil digimon, not each other. This senseless argument is just going to get us killed. Why don't we try to be reasonable and all be friends!" The boy blushed, glancing downward, surprised at his outburst. "Sorry. I just really hate fighting."

Serenity looked at Hyosuke. "As do I." she said. "Blake, you need to listen to Ganimon and keep your anger in check. We can't keep fighting each other at all. It would do us no good to continue this way."

Blake looked at both Hyosuke and Serenity before shrugging and moving on. "I'll stop for now," he said, Ganimon loosening her grip on his leg. He continued to walk off with Ganimon behind him.

The boy sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "Are we almost there?" he asked, changing the subject.
