Grace thought to herself. "You wanna call me Grace, I guess that's fine," She stated.

Impmon smiled to himself. "You're getting better," he said quietly to Ray.

Blake looked at Serenity, Hyosuke and Grace before shrugging and walking on. "Yes, I believe so," Ganimon said before shooting a warning look at her partner. "Don't even think about it."

Blake looked at her. "Wouldn't dream of it," Blake said. "Com'on, we're almost there."

Grace kept walking. "Now that we have some time... why are we here, and what are you guys?" she asked the digimons.

"We're known as Digimon, Ray," Venikumon said. "And all four of you were brought here to help preserve 3,000 years of peace that went corrupted when the Death Busters showed up to attack us. We summoned you to come here since we're in danger of the attack and we needed your assistance."

Serenity looked at Venikumon. "You mean we need to work as a team," she said. "I'll do my best."

"I'm not really the hero type but I can try," Hyosuke replied uncertainly.

"It's not like you really have a choice," Chuujitsumon remarked.

"Yeah well I'll sense things when we're in danger," Blake said, as per he has those psychic powers.

Ganimon looked at him. "And try not pick fight with the other digidestined," she said, facing Blake.

"I wouldn't dream of it," he said.

The boy smiled slightly, glad that they were beginning to get along. "And where is this inn again?" he asked, glancing around uncertainly. "We should have reached it by now...."

"I'll lead the way again," Venikumon said as Serenity followed her. "Just follow me." Serenity shrugged as she saw the white kitten lead the way back to the inn.

Blake nodded his head as he and Ganimon followed Serenity and Venikumon. Finally at least thing are quiet but not for long, he thought as he sensed something wrong.

"Blake, what is it?" Ganimon asked. "Is there trouble?" She saw that her partner remained silent as she continued following him.

"Yes," he said finally. "There's trouble up ahead the path. Whatever we do, we need to keep our guard up."

"What kind of trouble?" Hyosuke asked nervously, slowing down his pace.

"Nothing we can't handle," Chuujitsumon replied, carelessly.

Hyosuke gave the dog an uncertain glance, not quite beliving him.

Reese got up from the ground and inside the forest. "Where am I," she asked herself, as she picked up the pink colored digivice. She experimented with the yellow buttons and noticed there were four dot there. A lavender dot, a blue dot, a deep red dot and an orange dot, before she turned her attention to a small, white colored unicorn digimon.

"Hello Reese," she said. "I'm Antaimon, your digimon."

Reese looked at her. "What," she said, confused. "Antaimon, that's such a lovely name."

"I've waited a long time for you," Antaimon continued. "But we need to find the others."

"Blake are you sure?" Ganimon asked him. "I mean it could be a false alarm."

Blake looked at her as his pupils from his lavander eyes went dilated for a minute before returning. "Yes," he interjected as he heard the sqwaking of a bird-like phoenix. "It's on its way here."

"It?" Ganimon questioned him. "You don't mean..." The sqwaking got louder by the minute before Ganimon figure out what Blake meant. It's DarkBirdramon, she thought, realizing what Blake meant.

"Everyone, get down now," Blake said.

Serenity was in no position to disagree with Blake as she and Venikumon ducked for cover. "Blake what's going on here?" she asked.

"Ok, you got some explaining to do," Reese said. "The other people?"

Antaimon nodded her head as Reese got up from the ground and dusted herself off including her skirt and her white sneakers. "My suggestion is heading towards those dots," Antaimon said. "They might be the digidestined we're looking for."

David opened his eyes groggily, wincing at the sharp pain in his head. It took him a few moments to clear his vision, which seemed to be blurred and foggy. After either five or fifty minutes of lying there, his vision cleared enough for him to see where he was.

Of course, his surroundings weren't the first thing he noticed, but the figure standing before him, a large gray rabbit (or was it a hare? It seemed like some mix between the two, and it was standing on two feet), so large that when he stood up it's ears reached his waist with a red, feathered hat on his head, his long ears poking through holes in the top.

"What the-" David clamped his jaw shut, unable to form any more words as the rabbit extended a claw and winked at him.

"Bonjour, Guten Tag, Oooga Booga, Hello." He grinned. "You may call me Gazimon."

"Ouch! What the-" Cory leaped to her feet, furiously spitting sound out of her mouth.

"Oh bloody hell!" She winced, realizing it was in her eyes as well. Running towards what seemed to be the nearest water source, she splashed water up into her eyes, to clear the sand. Big mistake. As soon as the salty water reached her eyes, she let out an explosive stream of curse words.

Finally, having recovered from the salt water and removed the sand from her mouth, eyes, and everywhere else it had "oh so conveniently" landed, she turned her green eyes to face the sea. "Where am I?"

She noticed something lying in the sand by her feet. Bending over, she picked it up and blew the sand off its surface. A yellow-orange-ish device lay in her hand. Three buttons were surrounding a screen. Pressing one revealed several bars, another showed the time. The third however was more helpful; this one showed a map. Several colorful dots appeared on it.

The black bird-like digimon came swooping down to attack them. "Black Meteor Shower," it said.

Ganimon and Blake dodged it as they saw the others stay down. "Hard Shell," she said. "Blake, get down. We don't want DarkBirdramon get a hold of you."

Serenity didn't think twice when she ran towards Blake and Ganimon. "Blake, watch out," Serenity said, pushing the blonde out of the way just to be grabbed by DarkBirdramon. "Hey. Let me go."

Venikumon was shocked that DarkBirdramon made a grab for Serenity. "Serenity, no," she yelled.

"Wait a sec," Reese said as she saw two more dots appear on the map. "I think there more people. What do you think?"

Antaimon looked at her. "We go get them first," she said, "before going to the other four dots."

Sighting a craggy cliff too her left, Cory quickly trotted over that and began to assess her climb. It looked difficult, not that she was going to admit that, but after carefully planning a route, she began to climb. About half way up, her muscles screaming, Cory dangled for a minute to catch her breath. Then, break time over, she put a foot up to a ledge barely protruding from the rock. Transferring her weight to that foot, she reached up to grab a new handhold. In that instant, the rock supporting her foot crumbled and she was left hanging over thirty feet about the ground by a sweaty hand, beginning to slip off the rock.

"Oh...hell..." She gasped, frantically searching for a way to reclaim her position on the rock and not fall. An idea was beginning to form in her mind. "Okay..." She breathed trying to calm down. "Alright...one...two...three!" She swung herself to the right and on the returning trip back left, lifted her left hand to grab a hold alongside her right hand. Shortly thereafter her feet met solid rock and solid holds.

Finally, Cory dragged her weary body atop the cliff. She stood up to see her surroundings and immediately was knocked back down by a strong gust of wind. Swearing under her breath, she surveyed the land from a sitting position.

"Serenity!" the boy yelled, dark eyes wide with fear. "Chuujitsumon, do something!"

The dog lunged at the bird, missing by a few inches. "DAMMIT!" The digimon glanced at his tamer, attacking again but this time he had more success. He cursed again as he heard a loud beep from the blue device. "Perfect timing. I think there are a few more people... Maybe they can help us..."

Peering out over the forest, Cory squinted, seeing a blurry figure of- "What in the name of blue blazes?" A large bird like creature was flying over the dense woods with what looked like a person clutched in his claws. She picked up a fist sized rock and hurled it as hard as she could to the beast. It wasn't too far away and her height from the cliff did give her an advantage. The rock landed with a solid thump on its head.

"The device on your belt," Gazimon said lazily. David noticed it for the first time and picked it up, examining it's rather strange dark green metal.

"What is it?" he asked Gazimon. "And who on earth are you? This is some sort of weird dream isn't it, I'm going mad."

"No, you're not going mad ... yet." Gazimon sighed, adjusting his hat. "Welcome to the Digiworld, the scenery's great here, as I'm sure you'll find out. I really don't have time to explain the full reason why you're here, I don't know some parts, I don't care about others and I'm sure you're one of the people who wouldn't believe me.

"The Digiworld is filled with creatures like me, we're Digital Monsters, you can call us Digimon for short if you're too lazy to say two words, and not all of them are good. That's all you really need to remember for now. The others may tell you more."

"So, you're some sort of rabbit monster?" David asked. Gazimon's eyes flashed angrily for a few moments.

"I'm not a rabbit. I am a Gazimon, clear?" David couldn't help but notice the lightning bolts that had began running between his ears like a pylon.

Suddenly, he saw something out of the corner of his eye. A massive black bird with something David couldn't make out in its claws, but had distinctive arms and legs.

"Ah, the welcoming party has arrived then." Gazimon smiled and leapt up onto his feet, crying dramatically, "Follow me, my friend! To the others!" and dashed away, David close behind him.

Reese and Antaimon were nearing the other four dots before they heard the screeching sounds of a bird digimon.

"Uh-oh," Antaimon said.

"What is it?" Reese asked her.

Antaimon looked at her before facing Reese. "That's DarkBirdramon," she said, finally. "She's a virus, champion digimon. Her Dark Meteor attack will fry anyone. But it looks like they need our help."

"Hey lemme go right now," Serenity said. "You ugly...."

DarkBirdramon responded by tightening her grip on Serenity as Venikumon looked on in fear.

"Oww, jeez I'll shut up," she yelped.

The rock thrown by a girl barely hit the irate bird as she continue her hold on Serenity. "Serenity, no," Blake yelled before looking at Ganimon and Venikumon. "I have an idea. Venikumon, do you have any attacks that can lure the bird close enough for us to attack it in a close distance."

Ganimon looked at him. "Ocean's Illusion," she yelled forming an illusion to attract DarkBirdramon.

"Serene Mists," Antaimon said, making a big fog for DarkBirdramon's visions to be foggy.

Reese noticed a brunette haired girl, her age stuck on DarkBirdramon's left claw. "I'll get you out of there, love," Reese said.

"Keep it up, Ganimon," Blake said. "It won't be long before the bird brain comes close enough for all of us to attack."

Ganimon nodded her head as she kept the illusion up. Blake then saw a girl with green hair with a smaill unicorn digimon.

David was needless to say surprised when Gazimon lead him to a group of people, all of them with small animals next to them. "What the-?" he asked.

"You all have digimon partners, we're supposed to protect you, I need not say that I'm not a protector," Gazimon grunted.

"What are you then?" David raised an eyebrow as Gazimon bowed and swept off his hat.

"An actor and magician! A born thespian!" He said grandly.

"Can rabbits- Gazimons - be thespians?" David asked.

"Yes, now if you excuse me, I have some protecting to do."

"But I thought-" But he was gone, running towards the group of people before stopping and raising his claws to the sky.

"Electric Stun Shocker!" He aimed a blast of lightning at the big, black bird as David arrived next to him.

"Horse Hypnotism!" Antaimon said, continuing her attack on the bird digimon.

Reese then saw two boys and their digimon. One had spiked blonde hair and was in his late teens with a crab digimon and another one with jet black hair, her age with hare digimon. "Hello," Reese said. "My name's Reese Carlson."

"Oi," Blake said, facing Reese and the upcoming black haired boy. "My name's Blake and this is Ganimon. She's my partner."

DarkBirdramon recovered from the electric attack from Gazimon as she faced Reese, Blake and their digimons. "Attack now!" Ganimon said, drained from using her illusion attack.

Venikumon spread her golden tinted white wings before them and glared at DarkBirdramon with her green eyes. "Wind Rush," she said, as a rather healing wave attacked the viral digimon. DarkBirdramon began yelping in pain long enough for her to release Serenity from her claws.

Antaimon nodded her head as she faced towards Venikumon and the falling girl. "Serene Mists," Antaimon said.

Reese looked up as she saw the falling girl heading towards her, Blake and the others. "We better save her," Reese said.

"Serenity," Blake yelled trying some possible way to break her fall.

Ganimon looked on as she faced Antaimon and Venikumon who were fighting DarkBirdramon.

"Down, down, down," Gazimon murmured, shading his eyes as he stared up at the falling girl.

"Is there anything we can do?" David asked, not moving his eyes from her. Gazimon pondered this for a moment.

"Yeeeee- No. Let's just focus on the bird for now."

"Antaimon digivolve to Unimon!"

Reese saw the small unicorn digimon digivolve into a unicorn digimon with white wings and a golden horn. Unimon flew towards the girl in mid-air as she landed on her back. Reese looking up saw Unimon flying down with the girl on her back.

Venikumon was relieved to see Unimon catch Serenity at mid-air as she focused on the bird. "Wind Rush," Venikumon said, continuing her healing attack on DarkBirdamon.

"Serenity, are you ok?" Blake asked. "I mean I don't want anything to happen to you." Ganimon rolled her eyes. "What," Blake said. "I'm concerned for her."

Reese was relieved to see Unimon land with Serenity on her back. "You ok?" she asked.

Unimon looked at Reese. "She'll be fine," she said.

Blake felt relieved as he saw the horse-like unicorn digimon land with Serenity on her back. "Serenity," Blake said, before seeing the four scars on her torso. "No..."

"I'll be fine," Serenity said, trying to get off of Unimon only to have Blake help her off. "Owww!."

Venikumon looked to see Serenity have four scars on her torso from the DarkBirdramon.

When Blake heard Serenity yelping in pain, he decided to help her off of Unimon and lay her down face up.

"Blake what are you doing?" Ganimon asked as she saw her partner concentrate his powers to heal Serenity's wounds. Though Blake was reluctant to use his psychic powers, he knew his friend was hurt and has to use it. He then formed a light blue ball and began the healing process.

Reese looked on as she saw Blake use his whatever it is he's using to heal Serenity's wounds as Unimon continued to attack DarkBirdramon. "How much longer," she asked Blake.

Serenity calmed down as Blake healed her scars. Her first thought was, why didn't he told anyone of his healing powers? She shrugged that aside as she saw Blake with a girl with green hair. "Guten Tag," she said. "I'm Serenity Winters. And this is Venikumon."

Venikumon was relieved that Serenity was going to be ok as she turned to face DarkBirdramon. "Wind Rush," she said.

"Horn Thrust," she said, hitting the dark bird digimon.

Reese looked at Unimon who was helping out Venikumon and Ganimon fight DarkBirdramon before facing Blake. "I don't think you're weird," she said, impressed. "That's neat you have that. I don't like judging others about anything, you're still human." She then turned to Serenity. "Hello," she said. "I'm Reese May Carlson and my digimon's Antaimon. She's fighting DarkBirdramon with the other digimon."

Blake and Ganimon looked at Serenity before facing Reese. "It's already done," he told her. He then turned to Serenity. "Everyone always called me weird," Blake said. "Since I was born with not only psychic powers but with healing powers as well. They persecuted me and my powers ended up bringing them into the hospital. No one wanted to be my friend because of the incident. I was afraid you and the others will call me a weirdo as well, that's why I hid that from everyone."

Ganimon looked over at her partner before facing DarkBirdramon. "I'll help Unimon and Venikumon finish it off." she said.

David and Gazimon wandered over. "I think you're weird," Gazimon said matter-of-factly. "For a start, your ears are too small, but that's normal for hew-mons."

David scowled at the hare digimon. "Ignore him," he told Blake. "He probably doesn't care about your ...abilities... I'm David Smith."

"Of course I care," Gazimon growled indignantly. "Anything that might be useful is my business," he tipped his feathered hat at Blake and Serenity. "The name's Gazimon, but you can call me Gazimon."

"Silly rabbit," David muttered under his breath. Gazimon extended a claw and a sharp bolt of electricity stung his leg.

A frown drifted across the boy's face, wondering how anyone could be so cruel. "I don't think you're weird either. What I think is weird is that people could be so mean to you because you're a little different. And as we have just witnesses, your powers obviously do more good than bad so people really have no reason to hate you." He gave a weak smile before turning to the new kids. "I'm Arakawa Hyosuke, by the way. And this is Chuujitsumon."
