Frequently (and not-so-Frequently) Asked Questions

Hey kids! These are some of the questions we've gotten over the last few years regarding our little section of cyberspace. We hope these provide some sort of immediate gratification for those of you who have questions, but don't want to wait for us to reply. If you don't see an answer, drop us a line via our Guestbook or e-mail, and we'll do our best to send you a coherent answer.

Q. Why are your updates so few and far between nowadays?
A. Short answer: We're busy.

Longer and more satisfying answer: Well, when a show hasn't done anything new for a while, it gets harder and harder to find new stuff to make fun of. We've still got some little things here and there to tune up on, and we might come up with something new once in a while, but you should probably look at this as the definitive version of this site. Also, as mentioned, Jaek and Kate are immensely busy. Jaek is going for a degree in moviemaking, and shoots take up a lot of free time. Kate is going for her elementary education license and masters, and ergo is also busy trying to complete her projects, lesson plans, and papers on time. Although now that we think about it, do you really want someone like her around your kids? ^_^*

Q. What the hell is wrong with you?
A. Nothing a few years of therapy probably couldn't fix.

Q. How on earth did you get the idea for the site?
A. It all started with lunch time in Kate's dorm room. While watching the "lost" R episodes, we were discussing the dub quality (or lack thereof) when someone said, "Hey, it could have worse. Her name could be Sailor Food!" This said while craming food into his mouth. The idea kind of rolled around as an in-joke for a couple of months until someone made the huge mistake of saying, "Hey, why don't you put it on the Internet?" You can probably figure it out from there ^_^

Q. I want to see __________ on the site? Will you do it?
A. Check at the bottom of the page under the "Things to come" section. Those are the immediate plans we have for the site right now. They will be done eventually, depending on this pesky thing called real life that keeps getting in the way. If you have a request right now, just send it to one of us and we will review it. Since we're having enough trouble finishing what needs to be on the site as is it is not guarantied that we can put up your request. Once we get all the rest up, we may be able to add more of your suggestions.

Q. Can I contribute fanarts/altered pics/new sections to the site?
A. For the time being, we'd rather not take submissions. We want to keep the site focused on the parodies we have right now. Concentrated funniness is usually better than meandering, out-of-focus comedy. If we don't keep the site focused, things tend to get out of hand pretty fast.

However, if you have a Sailor Moon parody on your own personal web page, we'd be more than happy to link to your page in some way.

Q. So no feedback, huh?
A. Quite the contrary! We love know to see if you enjoy the site, and will take any good comments and suggestions to heart when we next work on the site. If there's something that you find confusing, let us know! If you find broken links or pictures, please let us know! If you just laughed your butt off at something, please please let us know. Please, we have very little joy in our lives ^_-
Ah yes, and if you like our site, let us know if you have a web page you wouldn't mind us linking to. Just our little way of saying thanks!

Q. U guyz suck! How dare u make fun of Sailor Moon!!!
A. *buzz* I'm sorry, that's not a question. You're out. And get some grammer lessons.

Q. Do you guys like Sailor Moon?
A. Yes. Very much. We just feel it's ripe for parody. Our favorite season is Sailor Stars, although Jaek also likes R very much, while Kate prefers S. We both agree SuperS was pretty lame, but had some good moments.

Q. Why do you switch between US and Japanese version names?
A. Depends on the parody. Since Sailor Food is a rip on the American version, the names in that section should be the American names. With the exception of the last season, as that has not been bastardized...er, translated yet. Otherwise, we use the Japanese names as we prefer that version more. If you spot somewhere we've slipped up, though, feel free to e-mail us and tell us of our gross negligence. And then sit back and re-evaluate your priorities. You might need a life. ^_^

Q. What drugs are you on and where can I get some?
A. Drugs? What makes you think drugs are involved? ^_-

Q. Are Krispy Kreme and Shoneys real resturants?
A. Yes, any restaurant mentioned here actually exists somewhere. For you miserable souls that don't have one, Krispy Kreme is a doughnut shop that is known for selling glazed doughnuts hot off the conveyer belt. It also started in our home state; we'd rather be known for that than tobacco, frankly. Shoney's is a family restaurant known for its all-you-can-eat salad and breakfast bars. The ones in our area have closed in the past couple of years, but there are probably still a few lurking around (I ate a lovely one in eastern Virginia last year on my way to get my new puppy. --Kate)

Q. What the hell is wrong with you? There were some references to naughty things!
A. Watch your language, sir! ^_^ We think we can safely say this site is still PG, maybe PG-13 due to some occasionally naughty language. But the references aren't any worse than prime time TV or certain episodes of Sailor Moon that shall remain nameless.

Q. *sniff* Why do you hate Chibi-Moon so?
A. Hate is such a strong word. We just mildly loathe her ^_^ Actually, it's not so much we hate Chibi-Moon such as we think Chibi-Chibi is far more adorable and should have been on the show longer. Oh yeah, American Mini-Moon is really whiney, too ("SEREEEEEENA!") Ah, petty childishness towards cartoon characters is so much fun. ^_^
