Game Review: Zelda 64: Majora's Mask

Zelda 64: Major'a Mask, the sequel to The Ocarina of Time, is a worthy successor to the original. In this game, Link must stop the Majora Kid from making the moon crash into the Earth, and do it in only three days. At the end of the three day period, time resets, and you lose some of your items. Sounds repetitive and annoying right? Wrong once again, you keep the main times and can store money in banks. The new thing in this game is it expands on the mask concept of Ocarina, in which you must trade masks, but where there are about 24 masks to collect, and you transform, as in the picture, to Zora's and Goron's from the original game. Each come with their own special moves.

Graphically, this game is superior to Major'a mask and is very well textured/detailed. The engine is essentialy the same as Ocarina, so not much improved control. The music, while good, still doesn't match up to Ocarina. Replay value is pretty high, since you must collect all the masks and there are still plenty of mini-quests. This game is Rated E with animated violence. This is another must own for The N64 but you must have the Expansion Pak to play.
