Takari
Now, Takari is an... alright couple. I have to admit that they are both sweet, caring, and obviously love each other. To be honest, they are perfect for each other. But I'm not about to let pure perfection stand in the way of my support of Koushari! Especially not when it leads to some great arguments with my good friend, Hikari4Takeru.
My main problem with Takari is that it's almost official. They fawn over each other, they are always hanging out together, they were the only two original DigiDestined to get D3s, there was the whole Azulongmon thing, and His Master's Voice was just insanely supportive of it -- so much so that it seems to have become the Takari Bible. I've never been one to go with the crowd on my theories, though.
The title of Angelshipping, of course, refers to their Digimon. But, in my mindset, it's just as good a description of the 'destined. I'm sure you all remember that sweet scene during 01 when Takeru and Hikari knelt down on the ground and prayed for their lost friends. Hikari is pretty much a stereotypical angel-personification, sweet, caring, gentle, helpful... she even has the Crest of Light! Takeru is a more warlike-angel, high on justice, vigilant, a staunch protector. Angemon and Angewomon could scarcely do a better job at their roles than their 'destined!
All in all, Angelshipping is fine. I would probably support it myself, did not so many people do the same thing. As it is, I'm certain Takari will live on quite well without my help -- I know there are enough fierce fans of it to have that not be a worry!
