Uh, Who...?

Well, OK, here's a quick little overview of who the heck the cast of characters are here. I mean, if you don't know, then you probably don't care to read the fics, but I've had some people just come on and read it anyway... So, I figured I'd just go ahead and just do a cast list anyway, for the heck of it. So here it is, for better or for worse...
This list includes main characters, and organizations, and social groups. It's alphabetical by last name, if applicable, or by title.
Big Mamma - (AKA: Kanure Stellar, Mamu, Big Mamu, Big Mam, Saint Mamma, various spelling of "mamma.") Big Mamma is the pacifist leader of the organization called the Stellar Church, and she directs the Haz Knights and the Sorcerer Hunters. Her non-violent nature cretaes a bit of conflict, as she is faced with the fate of the planet. Unwilling to completely obliterate the planet, Mamma is trying to save the world by deploying her Sorcerer Hunters. Can she possibly succeed? She certainly hopes so...
Cerise - (AKA: Siryuse.) He's one of the last angel-people-things of Dota's race. He used to work for a Sorcerer, but, uhn, not anymore apparently. (I really don't know much about the guy - sorry.) Marron No Miko's Siryuse Page has some info on Cerise, which is the name I prefer for him.
Dota - (AKA: Doota, Dootta, Dotta, Daughter.) Dota is probably best known for her annoying voice, and her tendency to flirt with Carrot Glace. Although no one is quite sure what Dota's actual, official function is, she does appear to bring the Socerer Hunters to Big Mamma, and occasionally shows up to hang out with the gang during missions. In the manga and the OAV, Dota has a boyfriend, who is one of the last remaining "angel"s, her apparently almost-extinct race. Although she's not an angel in the typical Christian sense, she does have wings, and pointly ears, so maybe she's a winged elf. We don't as, she just ups the cute-factor.
Feuille, Mille - (AKA: Milphey-Yu, Milphey, Milphy, Mille Feulle, Mirufi-Yu, Milphi, Millie Feuille.) Mille is a member of Big Mamma's elite group of Haz Knights. Mille is quite lovely, quite a crossdresser, and quite bisexual. He seems to have a thing for all of the Sorcerer Hunters. He pops up every once in a while, at Mamma's command, to help the Hunters on their missions. He's got kick-ass Haz Knight armour (the stuff appears at his command and is just majorly awesome). Mille either fights with his sword, with pheonix feathers, or with ofudas. In the manga, Mille's speciality is combatting evil monsters, such as demons, mummies, zombies, etc... Mille was friends with Onion and Apricot Glace, as well as Zaha Torte, and is Big Mamma's trusted confidant and captain of the Haz Knights.
Glace, Apricot - (AKA: Mom, Mrs. Onion Glace.) Apricot is the beautiful wife of Onion Glace, and mother of Carrot and Marron. She, along with her husband, was once a Sorcerer Hunter. Apricot sacrificed her life in order to save Carrot from a sorcerer named Almond Rasseru.
Glace, Carrot - (AKA: Darling, the Love Machine, Hentai, Brother, Niisan, Baka.) As the elder Glace brothers, Carrot might try harder to make his family proud. However, it just doesn't seem to be a priority with Carrot. Carrot is Marron's biological brother, and Tira and Chocolate Misu are his surrogate sisters. He's extremely girl-crazy, although he never gets too far, or, um, anywhere. It appears that Carrot is an inept idiot with no special powers, and the evil sorcerers are quite surprised to se Carrot after he has been hit with an enemy's magic. Carrot is a zoantrope, meaning when he is blasted with evil magic, he transforms into a beast. In the manga, he can actually turn into several different beast forms, but he has little control, it seems, over which he transforms into. Carrot holds the God of Destruction, Hakaishin, inside himself, although he's not really aware of it.
Glace, Marron - (AKA: Um... Derogitory terms, Closet Pervert.) Carrot's younger brother, Marron, is certainly hotter (well, I think so, anyway), and much more mature. Marron is rather androgynous, very reserved, and very smart. Marron uses magic wards to channel the power of fire, with which he combats the sorcerers. There is some speculation (OK, a lot of speculation) as to whether Marron is gay or not, and, more specifically, whether he is interested in Gateau. When you read my fics, you can find out my opinion on the matter... Marron is the reincarnation of Tenrin-Ou Yakushia, the name meaning the "God-King of the Cycle of Change Yayushia," "King of the Heavens," "King of the Seasons," or, as the say in the anime, the "Spin Ring King;" Yaksha is the leader of the Shichuuten.
Glace, Onion - (AKA: Dad, my husband.) The Sorcerer Hunter father of Marron and Carrot, and the husband to Apricot. Onion was a Haz Knight until the time of his wife's death, when he retired. Onion, who very much resembles Carrot, is a tough-talking guy with a good heart.
The Haz Knights - (AKA: No real known aliases.) There are four powerful knights who protect Big Mamma and the inner sanctum of the Stellar Church, and who fight in her holy battles. They all have gigantic magical suits of armour, which they can summon out of thin air. Their faces are seldom seen, and they seldom speak. Onion Glace, and Zaha Torte were once Haz Knights, and Mille Feuille currently holds one of the four positions. The other three are Shifon Keeku, Cinnamon Koocha, and Karuua.
Misu, Chocolate - (AKA: Sister, Sister dear, Chocora, Chocolat.) Red-head Chocolate Misu, Tira Misu's older, and much more brazen sister, is certainly an interesting member of the Sorcerer Hunters. Although Carrot is her adoptive brother, she harbors a very flamboyantly-displayed crush on the poor guy. Quite the jealous type, Chocolate will eagerly whip Carrot is his eyes strays on any other woman for too long, or at all... Which brings us to the other point about this woman. Beneath her (not really) typical demeanor, Chocolate's fighting style involves a barbed steel garrotte, and, unfortunately, suspenders. When the fight begins, Chocolate whips of her clothes (Kami only knows why she couldn't just fight in what she has on normally!) and becomes her alter-ego, a dangerous dominatrix. Chocolate was once, and still is, in some form, the goddess Seiki Kuurin, the Kali-esque "Demon-Saint Kuurin."
Misu, Tira - (AKA: Mistress, You Pink-Haired Bimbo.) Tira is Chocolate's much more demure younger sister. She, like her sister, has a crush on Carrot, although she's a little more subtle about it than Chocolate is, for better or for worse. Also like her sister, Tira whips off her red cloak to reveal her dominatrix fighting clothes. As opposed to Chocolate's Gestapo get-up, Tira seems to opt for a more traditional S&M outfit, with a leather bodice, thigh-high boots, and a whip. She's the one who ends up having to "tame" Carrot after his zoantropy goes into action. At the end of the battle scene, there's always a rather disturbing span of time where Tira turns Carrot back into a man with a taste of leaher and some sort of dominant comment like, "Call me mistress!" Her body houses the deity Seioubo Apros, the "Goddess-Queen Mother of the World Aporos."
Mocha, Eclaire - (AKA: Eclair, Sister?) Gateau's younger sister. Eclaire is a Sorcerer Hunter, however, she disappeared, and this event is supposedly one of Gateau's driving forces behind his Sorcerer unting, although it ins't really stressed anywhere in the anime. She pops up in the "Hot Springs" episode of the OAV. Eclaire shares her brother's passion for body building. ::shudder:: She also, it seems, became a member of Zaha Torte's army, which is how we meat her in the manga.
Mocha, Gateau - (AKA: Gatto, Gato, Gatto Moka, You Big Ape, Gorilla, Meathead.) Gateau is huge, and very interesed in his personal fitness. He seems to enjoy the company of both sexs, although he enjoys his own company the most. (I mean he's vain, people, don't let your sick minds think that way!) He's got a bit of a sweet spot for Marron, although the only time his affections are ever requited are in some people's fanfics. It seems Gateau was born strong, and he's certainly stayed that way. Due to his enormous strength, he usually ends up smashing something's skull in, or punching some sort of big monster during fights. Off the battle feild, though, he usually gets stuck with the job of chopping firewood. He is the god Hokuten Kauruman, "North Heaven Kaaruman," or, "Guardian of the North," reincarnated.
The Parsonners - (AKA: Anything degrading the sorcerers can manage to think up.) The parsonners are Spooner's non-magic-using citizens, its hoi polloi. They are grossly oppressed by the wealthy and cruel sorcerers because they have no magic with which to deffend themselves.
The Shichuuten - (AKA: The Four Peer Gods.) "Shichuuten" translates as the "Four Pillars of Heaven." This group of gods are destined to protect and subdue Hakaishin, the God of Destruction, throughout time, in the attempt to prevent him from detroying worlds, as well as rebuild the worlds he does destroy. The deities are: Tenrin-Ou Yakushia, Seioubo Apros, Seiki Kuurin, and Hokuten Kaaruman. They are currently reincarnated inside the bodies of Marron Glace, Tira Misu, Choolate Misu, and Gateau Mocha, respectively.
The Sorcerer Hunters - (AKA: None really, some Scooby-Doo-ish things resembling "pesky kids.") These are Big Mamma's fighters out on the feild. Using their unique abilities, the Sorcerer Hunters fight the evil Sorcerers who oppress the citizens of the Spooner Continent and attempt to bring Big Mamma's dream of peace into reality. They are charged only to destroy evil sorcerers, not those who do not misuse their powers. Apricot, Onion, and Milphey worked together as a Sorcerer Hunting team, and Eclaire is also a Hunter. Carrot and Marron Glace, Chocolate and Tira Misu, and Gateau Mocha are the most well-known of the Hunters, and the main characters of the series, in any event.
The Sorcerers - (AKA: Lots of put-downs from our Hunters.) It is said that Big Mamma was born during a time when Sorcerers did not dominate the common people. These aristocratic rulers of Spooner weild the power of magic. Some use it well, but, unfortunately, too many do not. These ones are more often than not destroyed by the Sorcerer Hunters. Often, they use the Kinjyu, or Forbidden Magic, in order to reach their goals. Sometimes they are simply deserving of death because of their abuse of human rights.
The Spooner Continent - (AKA: Spooner, Spurlna, Spurna.) Spooner is the continent in the universe where Sorcerer Hunters is set. It is not known what lies beyond Spooner's edges, whether there are other continents in this world. There are, according to the anime, at lest 27 different countries on Spooner, and it seems to be a planet, from some sequences in the last few episode in the anime. However, as an interesting piece of trivia, Satoru Akahori has apparently created another series which takes place in the same universe as Sorcerer Hunters.
The Stella Church - (AKA: No known aliases.) This is the name for the Stellar Church's on-earth churches. Big Mamma is apparently actually worshiped by the Spoonerian people, adn the Stella Churches are her temples.
The Stellar Church - (AKA: No known aliases.) Although the distinction isn't made in the anime, the manga makes it rather clear (to me anyway) that the Stella Church and Stellar Church are two separate things. The Stellar Church is a transient castle in the sky, Big Mamma's heavenly headquarters. It isn't quite clea how this place functions, but, then, we don't really ask. Sometimes it seems the Stellar Church is an actual physical place (in the manga, there are scenes where Dota is simply staring out a window into a garden, assumably in the Stellar Church), and sometimes it appears to be merely a celestial meeting place, some sort of ether. The Haz Knights often simply disappear in and out of Big Mamma's throne room, although this may be another one of their powers as Haz Knights.
Torte, Zaha - (AKA: Sacher/ Zacher Torte, Zaj Torte, You Big Caped Freak, Dude, Daddy, Uncle Zaha, Once Closest to God.) Zaha Torte was a Sorcerer Doctor, until he became one of Big Momma's trusted and loyal Haz Knights. However, he turned out to be less loyal and more psychopathic. Due to a difference in opinion regarding world-saving methods - Big Mamma wants to save the world, while Zaha just wants to obliterate it - Zaha left the Haz Knights and became a renegade, in some sense, if being a crazed killer is a sense of the word "renegade." Zaha is basically the main villain of the story, or, at least, the over-arching one. Zaha used to be very close to the Glace family, as well as to Mille Feuille. He was also strangely linked to the Misu sisters, but we dont' want to reveal too much plot. Zaha is after the Sorcerer Hunters because of the gods hidden inside their souls. Zaha knows that one of them holds the key to the destruction of the universe, and he is intent on finding that one, no matter the cost.
Well, that's it. A rather dopey summary of all the main charas. Pretty long, ne? Oh well. Deal. At least you know what the hell is going on now.
Some of the information here was jacked from Nora's fabulous BH FAQ section of her site, Mirai's World. Nora, if you ever read this, your site is awesome.
