River City High

Patrick Schulteis is the cartoonist who creates River City High. River City High is a serial sprite comic that follows the life of a high school student named Alex. Alex is a hyperactive teen with a perchance toward fighting. Not being very bight, he prefers action to words, as he can always seem to get his point across. Alex can be easily tricked, but once he catches on, watch out. Being one of the toughest kids at Cross Town High School, Alex is never without his trusty chain he lovingly calls, Mr. Links. Wanting to have an actual friend to talk to, he befriends a fellow detention-mate named Ryan. Ryan and Alex find that Ryan's girlfriend has been kidnapped, and Alex is eager to help his newfound friend by going off to save Cyndi by himself. Alex treks all across town fighting the various gangs with glee, and all the while collecting the money they leave behind in order to get various foods or experimental sodas. Ryan, on the other hand, is taking it easy, and playing on the sympathies of other girls to “help ease his pain”. Cyndi, on the other hand, has found that she can manipulate the leader of the gangs, Slick, who kidnapped her, and is treating this like a little vacation. The question isn't will Alex and Ryan ever be able to save Cyndi, but rather, does Cyndi even want to be rescued?
