Electric Orange

Lazarus Ray Berry is the cartoonist who creates Electric Orange. Electric Orange was a semi-regular strip in the gag-a-day format (having no ongoing storyline, but keeping the same characters for the strip), that followed the lives of four roommates who are all at least a little bit odd. Zantar is a red-haired guy with yellow eyes, out of which he can shoot ray beams. Iak is an excellent guitarist/singer who would be very successful in the music business if he wasn't completely crazy. Iak likes to wear masks around the house and take his friends by surprise, usually by ambushing them in some way. Dan is a green-haired lad who loves to build and take apart mechanical objects in his spare time. If it's mechanical, Dan surely has taken it apart and rebuilt it in some unusual way. Sharon is the only female member of the group, and started out acting pretty normal. After hanging out with the others for a while, however, she has become almost as nutty as they are.

Elf Madness

Rachel Sreebny is the cartoonist who creates Elf Madness. Elf Madness is a serial strip that follows the lives of a group of elven friends. Being traditional elves, they are less than a foot tall, and have their own culture right under most human's noses. Rea Serenby, a film major at Elven University, is an outgoing, but zany individual. Noted for outbursts of strange things, or the donning of black robes to become a ninja, are commonplace for her. Behn Wormy, a film major, is a very outgoing kind of guy who believes that he is a drop dead sexy guy. While he can seem to get women to fawn over him from time to time, he never really has had a lasting relationship, at least until a fellow student, Mino Ritee expressed her interest in him. Mino, a sociology major, is very studious, spending much of her available free time working on getting better grades. Tyrstin Paees, an animation major, enjoys being the center of attention, but has difficulty deciding on what she wants. Usually, she'll just end up hanging out with Seth and enjoy some sweet treats while watching movies, snubbing their noses at society. Seth Wihte doesn't even go to Elven University, but he works there as a nude model for the art classes. He recently accidentally straightened out a misconception that surrounded him that he was gay by unintentionally dating Shara, but was in the dark about the relationship due to his usual clueless (naïve perhaps?) nature. Sarah Pinnskay, a graphic design major, tends to be the most pessimistic of the bunch, but usually is the one everyone turns to for advice. She's glad to tell everyone in frank terms how they could solve their respective problems. Now they face more classes, returning as sophomores in Elven Univerity, as well as housing issues, now that they have moved out of the dorms.

El Goonish Shive: Newspaper

Dan Shive is the cartoonist who creates El Goonish Shive: Newspaper. El Goonish Shive: Newspaper is a parallel serial strip that follows the lives of two best friends, Elliot and Tedd from El Goonish Shive. Tedd isn't your typical teenager, as looks are deceiving. Due to his feminine facial features, Tedd wears glasses at all times, to help better define his gender. Being an intellectual like his father, he is intensely curious with machines of all sorts. So you could imagine the types of things he could get his hands on since his father works for a branch of government that covers up paranormal events. Tedd particularly enjoys indulging his fetishes through a gun that can change a person's very gender or even species. Elliot, being an athletic, outgoing kind of guy, looks after Tedd as well as has become best friends. Compared to Tedd, Elliot is an ordinary guy. If the ordinary guy took anime martial arts classes, and had strange battle aura driven fighting powers. Elliot is used to strange things happening around Tedd, as is his girlfriend Sarah. Sarah is a strong-willed individual who enjoys action movies, art, and spending time with Elliot. She tends to avoid confrontations, even though Elliot seems to look for them. They have become good friends with Tedd's new houstguest, named Shade Tail, or preferably Grace. Grace used to be a lab experiment that was run by a secret group trying to make super soldiers. The idea was to be able to make people able to shape-shift into hybridized animal/human forms to increase battle prowess. Once one experiment decimated the lab, Grace ran off on her own, and eventually to Tedd's father. Now hiding out from her fellow experiments, she has time to learn about the world around her and focus her affections on Tedd, much to his enjoyment.

Eternity

Farah is the cartoonist who creates Eternity. Eternity is a serial strip that follows the life of a talk-radio relationship psychologist named Flora Kane. Flora's mother was a counselor for the Floral House Counseling Center. There she met Daniel Blake, the son of a grieving client, Naoko Blake. After watching her mother help Mrs. Blake, Flora knew that she wanted to help other people, if only to get them to smile again. Sixteen years later, Flora has accomplished her dream, and works at Eternity Radio as a host of a call-in advice radio show. Flora is a warm, outgoing person, who enjoys her work immensely, but some of her zeal seems to stem from a small neurotic tendency to have people like her. Such as when she encounters the new technical engineer, Daniel Blake (the same person from her childhood, but she hadn't made the connection at the time), and finds that he harbors an intense dislike towards her. Confused, she spends a lot of her free time mulling over why he would be so upset with her. She finds that Daniel is the silent type, quietly working on his job, and remaining focused at the task at hand. With her further attempts to gain more information or to cheer him up fail, she confronts him upon the subject. After realizing who he is, she finds out that Daniel has lost his memories of his childhood, and as such has lost his memories of her. Further intrigued, she now has two mysteries to solve: why he doesn't like her, and what happened to make him lose his memories.

Fate Martyr Sapheire

Alice J. Gheiss is the cartoonist who creates Fate Martyr Sapheire. Fate Martyr Sapheire is a serial strip that follows the life of a Ki-Leinahn (a three eyed being who has special sensing powers from the third eye) named Sapheire. The Ki-Leinahn and the humans were at war when the humans invaded the Ki-Leinahn homelands. Suddenly a disease started rapidly killing the Ki-Leinahn, but as the disease was spread, a prophecy was made. The disease would kill all of the Ki-Leinahn except two, and in twenty years, on the day of the solace, the two Ki-Leinahn would unite and the race would be spared. Almost twenty years later, the time continues to count down toward the solace, with the second Ki-Leinahn not having been found. Sapheire is the second Ki-Leinahn, destined to marry Princess Muireve D'urante, the first Ki-Leinahn. Vaela Crystel sought out the second Ki-Leinahn, in order to complete the prophecy and to save her brother, Draegyn, from being falsely accused of trying to keep the prophecy from coming to pass. Now Sapheire has to deal with his destiny or fight against it, while learning to deal with the outside world.

Fat Jesus

Mike Leffel is the cartoonist who creates Fat Jesus. Fat Jesus is a serial strip that follows the life of Baby J, the Fat Jesus. Baby J was created by a group of scientists who were trying to create a clone of Jesus Christ, in order to appease the religious groups, and to get them to help revitalize the scientific community at large. Due to some errors in the cloning process, an imperfect clone was created. Aside from being obese, there were memory errors, personality conflicts, and problems controlling his power. The backers of the scientists decided they need to scrap the current clone and try again. However, due to a rebellion from some of the scientists, Baby J escaped the Antarctic lab. After drifting from place to place, he settled down in the town of Waterloo Falls, USA. He tries to contact God through prayer, and is surprised to find that God doesn't immediately answer him. So, on his own, Baby J knows that he should help people, and tries, but sometimes his miracles tend to go awry. He has good intentions, but his lack of practice, memory holes, and flawed design are all factors in the wayward miracles. One such aspect, a fact that brings him much sadness, is that he cannot bring people back from the dead. Even if sometimes he accidentally creates 200-foot tall golden reindeer that shoot lasers out of their eyes (or similar odd effects), he still manages to help people. Fortunately for him, these events are played down through the secret machinations of N.O.S.I.R.E.E., a secret organization that is tracking Baby J's movements. Through helping people donate their time to disaster relief work for the New York Trade Center Bombing, he finds out more about a seemingly generous businessman named Rex A Mabus. Mabus, as he is typically called, is a recent multi-millionaire who seeks to be recognized by the community for his good deeds. His assistant, Mary Lamash, helps him keep his current empire afloat, since Mabus tends to go off on tangents, expecting someone to destroy all he has worked towards. As it turns out, Mary is really a demon in mortal disguise, and Mabus is the third antichrist! Baby J ends up stumbling into the operation, and has to fight in order to preserve the world he loves. Now Baby J has to figure out what Mabus's plans are, and how to stop him, since it seems that his powers alone can't stop Mabus or Mary, and to avoid the scientists who created him from recapturing him.

Fever Dream

Poinko is the cartoonist who creates Fever Dream. Fever Dream is an anthropomorphic (animals that are attributed human-like qualities) strip in the gag-a-day format (having no ongoing storyline, but keeping the same characters for the strip), following the lives of several animals. Typically the main characters are a variety of different colored lizards, but from time to time, two dogs are also featured. Fever Dream focuses on video game, internet, and even computer humor at the expense of the lizards.

The Forge

Greg Dean is the cartoonist who creates The Forge. The Forge is a weekly serial strip that follows the life of a magical sword named Robert. Robert was made by a blacksmith named Blackwell Smythe, who disliked the flashy names of other magical swords, so named it with a name that would be easy to have a conversation with. Robert is displeased with the name, but prefers it to “Bob” that Smythe's son, Jacob, calls him. Robert dreams of being a famous sword and being wielded to perform great deeds of good, now all he needs is someone who can actually use him and would want to!

Freamed!

Damonk is the cartoonist who creates Framed!. Framed! is a daily serial/gag-a-day comic that follows the lives of four individuals that were tricked/captured being taken into Damonk's cartoon world, and now they are stuck there and at his mercy. Other cartoonists regularally visit or take over his comic at different times, Damonk himself has been stuck in the comic at different times. The people stuck in the comic have found that being a cartoon character is not all that it is craked up to be. Framed! poses the question of how people would fare living in a every-changing world where logic has no place, and most of all, a 'G'-rated world!

Fred The Bird

Rick Blum is the cartoonist who creates Fred the Bird. Fred the Bird is an anthropomorphic (animals that are attributed human-like qualities), serial strip that follows the life of a bird named Fred. Fred works as a company website editor with his roommate, a frog named Floyd. When not dodging their boss's ineptitude, Fred and Floyd like to hang out, meet women, or play some basketball. Fred isn't too lucky with women, and he is horrible at basketball. At least he can have fun from time to time.

Game Marks

OSX is the cartoonist who creates Game Marks. Game Marks is a gag-a-day strip that follows the lives of some avid video game fans. They are as follows: Gibson, a all-around gamer, who loves to watch wrestling; David, a PC gamer who likes to slam various companies and who takes joy when a console game isn't as good as the reviews; Kirby, a avid Nintendo fan who believes that no other system compares with a Nintendo made one; and Miranda, an attractive woman, who is not much of a gamer, but likes simple games. Game Marks focuses on topics ranging from video games, to movies, to even the state of the gaming industry.

Ghost 2138

Alex Abdoulaev and Greg M. are the cartoonists who create Ghost 2138. Ghost 2138 is a serial strip that follows the life of a jazz bar pianist named Alex “Ghost” LaCroix. Alex lives with his sister Shelly LaCroix in an apartment located in a ghetto in DC Prime. Alex dreams of a better life than the one he was dealt. He doesn't like having to spend his nights playing for change in a seedy jazz bar, while his sister has to work for Microsoft to help them survive. Alex dreams he's a roguish hero called Ghost, who does battle with the forces of evil on a daily basis, and walks away without a scratch. He usually wakes up from his dreams when someone interrupts him or when a shocking display of violence interferes with his dream. Shelly is Alex's anchor to reality, for without her, he would have no real reason to participate in reality, and would retreat to the fantasy world. The thing is, Alex is slowly noticing that he is becoming more and more like his dream persona, such as when he is able to fend off a group of punks from robbing a store. Not really sure what it means, Alex tends to dismiss it as being part of the fantasy world that he retreats to. It seems though, that either other people are being drawn into his fantasy world, or that the fantasy is starting to blur with reality. What this means, Alex is not sure of, but one thing's for sure, Alex's life is sure to get more interesting from now on.

Ghost Cat

Clay and Hampton Yount are the cartoonists who create Ghost Cat. Ghost Cat is a serial strip that follows the lives of three roommates. Having finally grown sick of their former apartment, Valerie, Gregory, and Norman answer a rental ad in the paper. Not believing their luck at finding such a good house on the market for a cheap price, Gregory and Norman reluctantly follow Valerie around as they tour the house. Valerie McFluffypants (her last name, as we later discover), or Val for short, is an aggressive woman who is confident in her decisions. She does tend to control the lives of Greg and Norm to some extent, but she only does it when she feels that it's “for their own good”. Gregory (last name unknown) is mildly pessimistic, and fosters an inventive streak that tends to get him in trouble at his places of employment. He enjoys tweaking with things in order to see what he can get them to do, much to his employer's distain and Norm's glee. Norm is a laid back sort of guy, almost to the point of laziness. He has an oddity to him that makes him go off on different tangents and wandering into trouble; usually dragging the others and Greg's inventions off with him! When the trio discovers from Mr. Shingles, an eccentric landowner with a hook for his left hand, that the house is haunted by a small ghost of a cat, they feel that they can put up with a little light haunting. Fortunately for them the ghost (aptly named Ghost Cat) turns out to be nothing like the homicidal monster that Mr. Shingles described, to the point of even being helpful to have around, ends up swaying even Norm to stay. Slowly, the trio starts to learn that this particular house is a nexus for strange activities, with the landowner and Ghost Cat being just the tip of the iceberg.

Grave River High

The comic artists known as Q and Neo Fox are the creators of Grave River High. Grave River High is a serial strip that follows the lives of a group of students at Grave River High. The students are as follows: Horny (yes, that's his name folks!) is a unicorn who takes on human form with only his ears, horn, and tail giving him away that he is not completely human. Horny is quick with the sarcastic comment and tries to stay aloof over most people, to retain his cool status, but at times displays a hidden sensitive side. Syrin is a siren (a creature from mythology who's beautiful figure and voices would lure sailors to their doom) who tends to be bookish, keeping wrapped up in her studies, but tends to come out of her shell when Horny is around. She likes Horny and has been trying to figure out a way to let him know, but for the most part, he is pretty clueless about the whole thing. Crussifix is a fallen angel who doesn't know who he is, let alone his past. He is named after the first thing he saw when he woke up while floating down the Grave River (after which the town is appropriately named). Crussifix usually dresses in black and has black angel wings that can only be seen by true believers or other supernatural creatures. He tends to go around in chibi form (chibi means small, and it's a tiny but obnoxiously cute form) popping around and saying various sarcastic remarks. Finally, there is Hecate Lycant, a vampire/werewolf crossbreed from Britian, who is sort of new to Grave River, but fits right in with the other students. She, like Horny and Crussifix, tends to carry an attitude, but it is severely reduced when she is with Crussifix. She currently likes him, and he unconsciously returns that affection, but hasn't said it out loud, or even admitted it to himself. So aside from all of that, they have all sorts of things to deal with ranging from gift giving, to attempts at starting up relationships, to dealing with the fairy principal's nazi-like rule of the school.

Gunchello

Jerry Seltzer is the cartoonist who creates Gunchello. Gunchello is a gag-a-day/serial strip that follows the life of a wizard named Gunchello. Gunchello constantly tries to make money through the selling of various magic items, yet never really manages to succeed in getting rich. He has almost as hard of a time getting rich as he does getting his spells to work properly all the time. He hangs out with his friend, an orange dragon named Druff. Druff likes being very sarcastic and usually uses his quick wit to insult people rather than fighting them. Gunchello and Druff have various problems from time to time ranging from Gunchello's shaky grasp of magic to a tax collector from the king who comes many times a year with new taxes.

Hero Fur Hire

Andrew Graham and Ian Smith are the cartoonists who create Hero Fur Hire. Hero Fur Hire is an anthropomorphic (animals who take on human-like qualities), serial strip that follows the life of a cheetah named Djet Munroe. Djet is a student at the local HERO High, a high school comprised of other students gifted with super powers. Djet is like any normal teenager, except when he wants something, he can back up his words with his ability to increase or decrease localized friction at will. Despite that fact, Djet is a laid-back sort of guy, enjoying the company of women, and hanging out with his pal, a turtle named Speedy. Speedy tends to be tense a lot of the time, (probably because Djet drags him off onto various adventures or makes him the victim of several of his schemes) but usually doesn't take too much coercing to go along with Djet and enjoy himself. Speedy has the ability to slow down time around him, in order to give the appearance that he is speeding up. Djet's cousin, a tiger named TJ Munroe, works for Fur11 Communications as the project manager. TJ is very reserved, maintaining a cool business-like attitude at all times, but if you rile him, watch out. TJ usually has a lot of work to do; fortunately he has an apt staff of qualified individuals, such as his good friend, a rabbit named Happy Bunny. Happy Bunny is the account manager of Fur11 Communications by day, and by night is the dark crusader of justice.

...Hey Suburbia

Lizzy Rosstop the artist known as “Rocky Foxtop” is the cartoonist for …Hey Suburbia. …Hey Suburbia is a strip in the gag-a-day format (having no overall storyline, but maintains the cast of characters) that follows the life of a teenager named Liz. Liz likes to sit back and observe life, and equally enjoys making witty comments as well as off-the-wall ones. Usually outgoing around her friends, Liz is not afraid to voice her opinions on various issues that she feels strongly over. Being prone to bouts of mischievousness, she usually enjoys playing harmless pranks on her sister, Leigh. Leigh is a bundle of energy, bouncing off of the walls, and spouting random words as she assaults her sister. They look up to their younger brother Matt, who is a master of many skills (such as cooking and music). They respect him for following his own beliefs (even when they go contrary to popular style) and his favorite bands. Liz’s friend, Allie, shares many of the same traits as Liz, but is a little bit more laid-back when strangeness occurs, such as when her class hamster Angelina grew larger than her. Angelina is an anthropomorphic (animals who take on human-like qualities) hamster who likes hummus. Liz takes all of these things in stride, even as more odd things slowly start to occur around her.

Hunter's Key

R. Ross and L. Neal are the cartoonists who create Hunter's Key. Hunter's Key is a serial strip set in the 23rd century and follows the life of a scientist named Kia Kruz. Earth has expanded out into the interstellar community, meeting many new races, such as: The Vix, a fox-like mercantile race (introduced to the general human population at the end of 2200); The Zards, a reptilian warrior-caste race (introduced to the general human population 15 years after the Vix); as well as Halflings, or the mixed-breeds (the results of a Vix-Zard/Vix-Human/Zard-Human pairing). Kia is the daughter of the famous genetic engineer Jacob Kruz. Kia is trying to piece together why her father was murdered as a traitor before her very eyes by a hunter (a group of freelance or corporate assassins that work under the governmental establishment called The United). Trying to follow up on her father's work (and perhaps see what was more important than his family), Kia sets off into space. Kia is a brilliant scientist in her own right, and can be a little whimsical at times. Perhpas that's why she took in Mikey, a 14 year-old would-be thief who tried to steal her purse. Mikey, on the run from two bounty hunters named Ober and Puck, and his past. While he delights in pranking Puck and Ober, he is confused at Ober's lieniency toward him. He and Kia are now traveling together, ducking the bounty hunters, and Kia's rapidly approaching past.

Incubus

Charlotte is the cartoonist who creates Incubus. Incubus is a serial strip that is set in the turn of the century for the 1900's, and follows the life of Ramla Mouette. Ramla comes from what would be a middle classed family of the period, but their family carries a mild social stigma. Ramla's father came from a French Colony in Africa, and being of noble blood, this was usually favorable, but being from a colony in Africa makes him somewhat of an outsider. Despite their opposition to the idea, Ramla's mother married her father, and because of such, suffered a blow to their social standing. Ramla was born carrying some of her mother's weak blood, but also received one of her gifts from her family's ancestry. Ramla gained an insight into things, similar to a sixth sense. This pleased her mother, but because of their social standing she knew that her daughter would not have the advantages that were afforded to her when the time came for Ramla to marry. It pleased her parents when they received an offer from the Mouette family for Ramla's hand in marriage to their son, Guy Mouette. The Mouette family was one of the most powerful and influential families in the area, so it was quite a surprise that they would want to join their families together. Of course, Ramla complied with her parent's wishes, and knew that this would probably be the best lot for her in life, let alone help ease her burden on her family. Now that Ramla is married to Guy, and entwined with one of the most powerful families in the land, it seems that her problems should be over as her future is secure. This is not the case, however, for it seems she traded one set of normal social problems for a whole new batch of supernatural ones!

It's Gravy

Matt Gardner is the cartoonist who creates It's Gravy. It's Gravy is a weekday serial strip that follows the lives of two high school students named Andy and Paul. Andy spends a lot of his time trying to get out of tests and ends up dragging Paul into all of his schemes. Andy and Paul have had many different adventures ranging from meeting a supernatural new kid with an unpronounceable name and invariably trying to stake him, to finding a small creature known only as Noit, to reading Incredibleman comics, to even burning the school down.
