What the hell is Flame Of Recca???

While he's a baby, Recca is sent 400 years into the future by his mother. He grows up as a normal high-school student whose father makes fireworks, and who wants to be a ninja. (The kid, not the father.) One day, he saves the life of a pretty girl his age (Yanagi), but nearly gets killed in the process; she manages to heal him. Unfortunately, evil forces are abrewin'...(this IS Anime, after all! ^_^) Oh, did I mention Recca can shoot fire from his right hand? ^_^ He meets up with some other people who have elemental powers/weapons of their own, most of whom decide to protect Yanagi as well...

Yanagi's got a cool power, too! (Yeah, it's a girly power, but healing would be a NICE power to have!) Too bad she turns out to be so...*girly*... The fights in the show start out EXCEPTIONALLY dull, but get a bit better... This IS a 'fighting Anime'--that's the main plot, although there is character development/interaction as well. The focus is on the fights. Mikagami and Koganei's fight was WONDERFUL. So they are getting more exciting. ^_^
