Introduction
Yamato Ishida heard his alarm go off, he was not asleep. He had not been able to sleep at all that night. He reached over to hit the snooze button on his alarm clock, but his hand brushed an unknown object. Yamato picked it up. In his grasp he held a digivice.
Yamato quickly put the digivice down on his nightstand. He had no desire to return to the digital world again, and he didn't want to see Tai again either. Tai had always managed to get him angry.
Yamato stretched and then climbed out of bed. He walked over to his wall phone, he wanted to know if anyone else had gotten a digivice, and who was already in the digital world.
The first person he called was his brother, T.K. After the fourth ring, T.K. himself answered, sleepily. "I got a digivice." Yamato told his brother, getting right to the point.
"I did too, but I'm not going. The digivice was...well, tainted...wrong. Something is terribly wrong with the digital world, Kari feels it too. Neither of us are going."
"Aren't we supposed to help and protect the digital world?"
"...Yes, but I'm still not going...not this time."
"Fine then, I'll go alone." Yamato said. He and T.K. said their goodbye's and then Yamato hung up.
Yamato once again picked up the digivice. He checked all his windows, and locked the door to his apartment. Finally, he picked up his pack, took a deep breath and transported to the digital world.
