She looked at the guys and touched her head where she had another bandage-“Wh-Where am I?”
Brian walked up to the side of her bed-“Hey, you’re in a hospital. I’m Brian, this is Howie, Kevin, A.J., and Nick. What’s your name?”
She looked at each guy and then thought for a moment and gasped. “I…I…I don’t know. I don’t know my name.” She started crying, Nick could see the fear in her eyes.
Kevin looked concern-“You don’t know your name?” She shook her head. Howie went to call the doctor. When he came in he saw she was awake-“Oh, you’re wake…that’s good. What seems to be the problem?”
Kevin looked at the doctor-“She doesn’t know her name…why doesn’t she know her name?”
The doctor sighed-“I was afraid this was gonna happen, she has amnesia…and it might last a long time to get better. She doesn’t know anything, and we don’t have ID for her. No one has called for a missing girl so I’m not sure she has family here.” The doctor got paged and had to walk out.
Kevin looked at her as she cried some more. The guys stepped out and Nick said-“I want her to come home with me. I’ll be responsible till she gets better.”
Kevin looked at Nick-“Nick this isn’t a dog you can take home. She is a human girl. She is 17 years old, you need to think about this.”
Nick sighed-“Kevin I’ve thought about it…I know what I want. I want her to stay with me till she remembers everything again. Think about it…she needs a place she doesn’t know where she lives. It’s not your choice Kevin, it’s mine.”
Brian touched Kevin’s arm-“let him do it, it’s his responsibility.”
They went into the room and she had calmed down-“I-I feel so lost…where am I gonna stay?”
Nick walked up to her-“Hey, if it’s ok with you…you can stay with me till you get better.ok?”
She looked at him-“I don’t wanna be trouble.”Then she stopped-“How did I get here? What happened?”
A.J. smiled-“This is what happened. We were at a stop light an dyou were too. When the light turned green you went and so did a loser on the other side fast. He hit your car hard. Your car did a couplde flips and dragged. It caught on fire and my boy here, Nick…ran out and got you out before it blew up.” She looked at Nick, as he began to blush.
