For an organization, to survive a year of strenuous activities and handful of difficulties is a real challenge not only for the officers but for the members as well. Surviving ten years of that give organization not only challenges but also pride to have survived.

        On August 28, Physika, UP Applied Physics Society will have its tenth year anniversary focusing on the slogan "A Decade of PHYSIKA's Service Proves its Worth at its Best." In celebration of this momentous event the organization will have an exhibit featuring the organization through the decade. The organization will also sponsor the 6th Inter-Laboratory Physics 3 Quiz Contest. 
 
 

      A new breed of Physikans has been accepted to our family. Batch Laser took the final test last July 15 at Casa Catalina in Pansol.  Raq, Rex, Opal, Glen and Anthony, survivors of a two-week reporting, are soon to show their wares as members. To Batch Laser, welcome and good luck. 
 
 

          Last semester we saw four of our very own Physikans finally made it to their goals. Alex Perez, Juvie Visleño, Jovanne Gregorio and Reynalyn Bonto marched out of college last April 15 at the D.L. Umali Freedom Park. The honorable Sen. Blas Ople graced the ceremony.

          Alex and Juvie pulled one out of the bucket while Jovanne and Reyn were at their hype, graduating Cum laudes in BS Agricultural Business. To Alex, Juvie, Jovanne and Reyn, Congratulations again and good luck. 
 

Physika Storms Palacasan

 Once an underdog and cellar-dwelling organization in sports, Physika has proven it is a team that should be reckoned with in the near future. Physika is wreaking havoc in Palacasan, an annual sports-fest for CAS based organization.
 Battered by close game loses, the basketball team, lead by the speedy Arween Belen and man-mountain Allan Oania, has been playing their hearts out and boasts a 5-4 win-loss card.
 Our volleyball team on the other hand has been pulling upsets after upsets with the leadership of Michael Jason Solis, Rhia Casta and the comebacking Jovanne Gregorio.
 Nic Repalda, Binoe Gulay, Anna Tan and Ebi Navarro has been prolific in the tabletennis event and has been smashing their way to the top.

A guy and a girl can be "just friends" but one point or another, one of them will fall for the other, maybe temporary, maybe at the wrong time, maybe too late or maybe, just maybe forever…
