An established player with bundles of talent, Laurie is a strong speedy forward with a flashy style of stickmanship. His willingness to help other players improve their game makes him a great asset to the team, and his 'give-it-a-go' approach sees him ready to try his hand at any role on the ice, including netminder. In the July 2005 double-header against Flintshire Phantoms, Laurie found the net twice in the first leg and once in the second. In addition to his on-ice role with the Aardvarx, Laurie is also the Head Coach of the Black Bears intermediate recreational team, and takes an active interest in all aspects of the game.
