SpongeBob is extremely ecstatic about the party he is planning for his best bud Patrick. With your help he is certain that the party will be a blast!!!! Before you begin you must assemble yourselves into groups of three and pick a job that best suits your abilities. The jobs to choose from are Sponge Bob’s Assistant, Party Supply Expert, and the Map Designer.
SpongeBob's Assistant: You are the head of the group. Your job is to receive ideas and information from Sponge Bob and pass them on to the other members of your group.- Your first job will be to click on the Invitation link at the bottom of the page and print the invitation sent to you by SpongeBob himself.
- After you print this invitation, SpongeBob asks that you use your English skills to check for any mistakes.
- After you have revised the invitation, it is your job to design an invitation using art materials provided by your teacher. When designing your invitation think of including underwater topics or drawings of SpongeBob and his friends into a birthday inspired theme. For pictures of SpongeBob and his friends visit the link at the bottom entitled "Site to Visit for Pictures of SpongeBob".
- Since you are SpongeBob's personal assistant it is your duty to assist your group members with any difficulties they may face while completing their tasks.
Party Supply Expert: You have a very important and fun task. Your job is to visit the Party Supply page put together by SpongeBob. There, you will complete a math sheet that requires you to correclty calculate the cost of a list of items that SpongeBob thinks are essential to a successful birthday bash for his best bud Patrick.- Your first job is to visit the party supply page and look over the complete list that SpongeBob has put together. The link for the Party Supply page is located at the bottom of this page.
- After you have looked over SpongeBob's list, you will then print and complete the Party Worksheet located on the Party Supply page.
- After the Party Worksheet has printed, use your math skills to carefully complete this math worksheet.
- After you have completed the Party Worksheet you will have found the total cost of SpongeBob's Birthday Bash. If you need help at any time, do not be afraid to ask the other members of your group or your teacher for assistance.
Map Designer: You have the most important job!!!! Without you no one would be able to attend the birthday bash. Your job will be to create a map using a set of directions writen by SpongeBob. Refer to your knowledge of cardinal directions(north, south, east, and west) when following the designing your map.- Your first job will be to click on the Directions Page link located at the bottom of this page and read the directions sent to you by SpongeBob.
- After you have studied and fully understand the directions, create a map to be sent with the invitation.
- Be sure to carefully follow the directions and neatly label all parts of your map. Have fun and be creative!
After each group member has completed his/her job, assemble together and share with your group the final product of your jobs. After all the groups are finished, each group will display its invitations, maps, and budgets and all students will observe the other groups' products.
