Story Level Two
At this point you should have 26.2% complete. Back on the airship,
talk to Shinra to see the new sphere. After that Brother will give
you Al Bhed Primer IX. talk to Brother and discuss what to do with the
sphere. Go rest in the cabin. Talk to the musicians and mention you'll
be singing soon. Push them out onto the elevator (they can't do it themselves
for some reason...). After the clips and Yuna heads to bed, go to the
bridge. Your crew will explain the new lose-lose situation that has presented
itself. You must choose either the Youth League or New Yevon. In order
to get a full percentage, choose the Youth League. Two new hotspots will
appear--different clips will play for each.
After that Buddy will report to head back to the airship. The gang
will realize someone stole the Zanarkand sphere--it's LeBlanc! She left
her LeBlanc sphere for you to watch.
Story Level Two,
Mission Eleven: Strip Search?
Mission Description: The LeBlanc syndicate may haven stolen the Gullwings'
hard-earned sphere, but you're going to sneak into Chateau LeBlanc and
steal it right back! Locate the syndicate members deployed across Spira
and relieve them of their clothing! Objective - Acquire three women's
Syndicate uniforms.
Besaid
Let's start some missions before heading out. In Besaid, some guy
named Beclam from the Youth League will be taunting you. Accept his challenge
at the Gunner's Gauntlet.
Story Level Two,
Mission Twelve: Run the Gunner's Gauntlet!
Mission Description: Gun down fiends and make your way to the back
within the time limit! Score high and put Beclem's record to shame! Objective
- Score more than 500 points and make your way to the beach.
My method is to fight your way until the end before you get to the
part with the robot. Rack up the points there. Be generous with the
Dual Shots and especially the Death Shots. However save a Death Shot
for the robot at the end. You will get a bonus for winning this--the
Enigma Plate Garment Grid. At this point in the game you should have exactly
30%.
Kilika
Not much to do here, just arrive at Kilika and talk to Dona after
the clip.
Luca
Go to the central square in Luca. Accept the interview with Shelinda.
She'll ask you stuff--it doesn't matter what you pick. Afterwards
she'll give you a Covetous Garment Grid.
Mi'ihen Highroad
In the travel agency, you will see Calli. Talk to her outside. Help
catch that Chocobo!
Story Level Two,
Mission Thirteen: Cuckoo for Chocobos!
Mission Description: Catch the chocobo for Calli! Follow captain Rikku's
instructions and bring that winged whirlwind to justice! It's the kwest
of a lifetime! Objective - Capture the chocobo?
Follow Rikku down the road while collecting the feathers. Don't listen
to her advice. Soon Yuna will be assigned to catch the thing. Well
if it looks to the right, go right, when it looks to the left, go left,
and when it looks at Yuna, go straight. Then it'll be on the move. Follow
Paine and Rikku down the path and meet them three times. After the clip,
go to the end of the south part and talk to the guy there. Choose the
first option. Then talk to the woman next to the machina vehicle, twice.
Choose 'Please, yes!' and you'll be done.
Boss Five: Chocobo
Eater
If you have been going through all the missions, you should've leveled
up a lot, and this should be no problem. It not, good luck. constantly
heal everyone so they're not below the 250 HP range. Cast power and armor
break onto him and just keep attacking. If you know what you're doing, it's
not hard. After this battle you will get the Serene Guard Garment Grid.
Mission Thirteen
Complete!
Once on the airship, go back to Mi'ihen Highroad. Near the agency,
you will find Clasko, Calli, and the chocobo. Let them board the airship
for some percentage. All done!
Mushroom Rock Road
When you turn right, some guards will escort you down the path. Buddy
will call you and mention a sphere in the ravine down below. Once you
reach the end, talk to Nooj and receive the 7th Crimson Sphere. Now continue
on to the Headquarters. Talk to Elma and Lucil for a bit. Go back to the
airship and watch the sphere you just got. It's a little puzzling, but
whatever. Now to the next place...
Moonflow
Talk to Tobli. He'll give you a mission:
Story Level Two,
Mission Fourteen: YRP, the Scalpers Three!
Mission Description: Talk to people along the south and north banks
of the Moonflow with the square button and sell as many tickets as
possible. The base price is 500 gil, but if you can see the tickets off
at a higher price, the profits are yours! Objective - Sell tickets and
report to Tobli.
To make things easier, here is the list of people you should sell to
1)
Woman at the South Bank Road at the end: 1500
2) Woman at the South Bank with no kid: 1500
3) Woman below the Save Sphere at the South Wharf:
1500
4) Man in the corner of the South Wharf dock: 2000
5) Man sitting on the stairs in the South Wharf
dock: 1500
6) Woman sitting on the stairs in the South Wharf
dock: 2000
7) Boy next to the Hypello at the North Wharf dock:
1500
8) Woman at the North Wharf: 2000
9) Man at the side of the North Bank Road: 1500

2000
If you sell all the tickets, you get your profits, a muscle belt, and
the Seething Cauldron Garment Grid.
Mission Fourteen
Complete!
Guadosalam
Here, talk to one of the guards
outside of LeBlanc's door. After that, go inside the place to the right
by the entrance. Ask the Lady if she has any data. Pay 10,000 gil for
the clue.
Story Level Two,
Mission Fifteen: Buyer Be Where?
Mission Description: Use the hints provided to hunt down the person
in Guadosalam who's out for some data! Press the square button to trick...er,
talk your target into making the purchase! But be quick--no one
wants old news! Objective - Find a buyer for the data.
For the record, you can only sell data to someone once, and then no
more. So, I highly recommend that you save your game before buying the
data so you can make the most money. Here is a list of the buyers:
1) It's someone loafing
about indoors: Hypello in Tobli Productions (25,000)
2) The person is a woman: Woman in green clothes in the NorthWest part
(25,000)
3) The guy you're after is just sitting down: Man in red shorts (25,000)
4) Someone right next to a door: Man next to Tobli Productions (30,000)
5) This man has confidence: Man outside the dealer shop (30,000)
6) It's someone rather young, yes: Woman with the red bandana (30,000)
7) This person can be found indoors: The customer in the shop (30,000)
8) Someone sitting down: Man in the blue shirt sitting (30,000)
9) Someone interested in joining the Syndicate: Woman in brown and
green (40,000)
10) It's a guy sitting down: Guy with the helmet outside the dealer's
place (50,000)
11) Someone near the door that will not open: Guy with the blue bandana
(50,000)
12) I haven't the slightest clue what this person is doing: The walking
Hypello (50,000)
13) It is a woman: The Lady to the right of Tobli Productions (70,000)
14) This guy's in the last place you'd expect: The shopkeeper (80,000)
15: It's the last person you'd expect, no question: The dealer himself
(100,000)
Mission Fifteen
Complete!
Only answer to the very last one, so you can make 90,00 gil. Now you
can go back to the airship and finally clear O'aka's debt, right? Also,
from your trip into Guadosalam, you should've figured out where you can
get the three Syndicate uniforms--in Djose, Mount Gagazet, and in Bikanel.
But don't go into these areas just yet, there's plenty more to do around
here. You can also buy Hi-potions from O'aka and sell them right back to
the Barkeep for a profit. Keep doing that until you have enough money,
Djose Temple
Take the airship to the temple and walk to Mushroom Road.
Story Level Two,
Mission Sixteen: Two Birds, One Stone
Mission Description: Swipe the Syndicate's lost sphere. As long
as you're making a scene, you may as well nab their clothes too! Objective
- Find the missing sphere.
Continue down the road. Eventually you should see a sphere. this is
Yuna's special dressphere, Floral Fallal.
Boss Six: Ormi
and Logos
Now you fight a short battle. These guys really are pushovers. Anyways,
after that you will have one of the Syndicate's uniforms. Good job!
Mission Sixteen
Complete!
Calm Lands
Let clasko off and choose to follow him (by the Monster Arena, hehe).
He has a problem--fiends infest the area that he wants to use for himself.
Mission time!!
Story Level Two,
Mission Seventeen: Clean Sweep
Mission Description: Exterminate the fiends that have taken up residence
in the ruins. Leave no fiend unslain! Objective - Wipe out all fiends.
Basically what you must do is inspect the fiends carefully and note
which way they are facing. All are looking at the next fiend that you
fight except the one that is the liar--the one that you will battle.
After five times, you must face three Blue Elementals.
Boss Seven: Blue
Elementals
This isn't a very hard battle--just keep attacking with thunder-related
attacks and heal constantly. In fact, all they will use against you are
water attacks, so it's wise to equip something against that element.
Again, this battle isn't hard. From it you will gain the Alchemist dressphere
and the Highroad Winds Garment Grid.
Mission Seventeen
Complete!
Go back inside and talk with Clasko. He'll give you some Greens
and you can now capture Chocobos in battle. Look under the Help menu for
more information with this.
Thunder Plains
Go and speak with
the sulking Cid, and then a man talks to you--he would like the
towers to become calibrated. This is really hard to do.
- Examine each tower and a sequence of button icons
will appear.
- Press the corresponding buttons to calibrate the
tower.
-The button sequence and display pattern vary from
tower to tower.
- Three button icons will fall down the screen.
- When they reach the middle of the screen, one
of the icons will flash.
- Press the button that corresponds with the flashing
icon.
- Memory Phase: Memorize the sequence of buttons
that appear on-screen.
- Input Phase: Press the buttons in the proper
order
You need to beat five of them and try all ten for the prize. The tenth
is located in the second area to the left. Approach it as closely as
possible. You'll get a Ribbon in Chapter Five if you can successfully
beat the tenth tower.
Macalania Woods
Talk with the Hypello near the beginning of the path. He'll give
you a letter and tell you to find the musicians.
Story Level Two,
Mission Eighteen: Track Down the Troupe!
Mission Description: find Donga and Pukutak somewhere in the woods.
They have taken the forms of whirling circles of butterflies. Enter
the circles and they will return to their true form! Objective - Meet
with Donga and Pukutak.
Bayra is where you met Tromell in Chapter One. Donga is one the Shimmering
Path, and Pukutak is where O'aka was hiding before. Return to Bayra,
then go see the Hypello for the Bitter Farewell Garment Grid.
Mission Eighteen
Complete!
Zanarkand
Go to the dome and speak with Isaaru. He'll mention that the place
needs to be closed down because the monkeys keep multiplying. Begin the
Operation Monkey. Pair them up with opposite names (ie - Golde and Sylvia).
Find the monkey with the heart icon and pair it up with its match, then
repeat. Here are the pairs: Birch & Sequia, Spring & Autumn, Dusky
& Dawne, Rosemary & Thyme, Terran & Skye, Minni & Maxx,
Summer & Winter, Peke & Valli, Canis & Felina, Arroh &
Quivrr, Golde & Sylvia, and Luna & Sol.
Mount Gagazet
While here speak with Kimahri twice. Repeat the same process as
in Chapter One (remember that there is a Ronso by the Scar of Fayth).
Go to the Scar and begin the mission.
Story Level Two,
Mission Nineteen: Spring into action
Mission Description: You'll need some uniforms to sneak into Chateau
LeBlanc! So what are you waiting for? Go get it! Objective - Obtain a
Syndicate uniform.
Climb and walk inside the cave to the other side. Ignore the lady
and climb up. To the left you'll see a rock that keeps moving up whenever
you approach it. To stop this simply walk up to is instead of running.
Now head to the right and up. Your party should look down at the springs
below and fall down. After the cutscene you'll fight Ormi and the Syndicate.
Boss Eight: Ormi
Ugh, he's SO easy. Basically just whittle away their health and you'll
beat them in no time--healing not necessary.
Mission Nineteen
Complete!
After that you should obtain the Stonehewn Garment Grid. Now that
you're done with that it's time to leave this place.
Bikanel Desert
Once here talk to Nhadala and go into the Oasis.
Story Level Two,
Mission Twenty: Water We Doing Here?
Mission Description: Too late to say "no" now--so it's off to check
out the Oasis for Nhadala. If anyone gets in your way, hurt first, ask
questions later! Objective - Investigate the Oasis and report back.
Walk to the Oasis where you'll find Rikku's special dressphere, Machina
Maw. Logos and company will decide to show up.
Boss Nine: Logos
As with Ormi, he's a pushover...hurt him and take a uniform!
You should now have the Hour of Need Garment Grid. Back on the airship,
watch a small cutscene, where you'll get the Bum Rush Garment Grid.
Now head out to a different place...
Guadosalam
Enter through the airship and watch the cutscene.
Story Level Two,
Mission Twenty-One: Faking and Entering
Mission Description: Nobody steals from the Gullwings! Sneak into
Chateau LeBlanc and take back what's rightfully yours! Objective - Recover
the stolen sphere.
Once inside, watch the clip with LeBlanc and Nooj. Then enter the bottom
right room to talk with Logos and Ormi. After that go into LeBlanc's
chamber. Here you must *groan* give LeBlanc a massage. Don't satisfy
her the first time, but rather the second, and she'll give you the Heady
Perfume. Go to the place where you talked to Logos and Ormi earlier and
flip the switch.
After a cutscene with Brother you need to fight Ormi. Once that's
done, follow the Red Arrow on the map to the room with the Sphere.
Ormi and Logos will find you, so fight them. They will activate the alarms
system. walk left and fall to the pit down below to activate the switch.
Do the same for the next node. Now walk to the end wall. Once the spikes
come out, RUN! After jumping over the first pit, allow it to become near
you so your party can jump down and activate the last switch. Now go back
to the place where the spiky wall was and open the door. Walk down the
passageway to fight LeBlanc and company.
Boss Ten: LeBlanc
Go for the leader first--then Logos, and finally Ormi. Just keep
on dealing your attacks out and you'll be fine.
Mission Twenty-One
Complete!
Now you have the sphere and the Healing Light Garment Grid. Talk
with LeBLanc on the airship and head over to Bevelle!
Bevelle
LeBlanc will chicken out at the last moment, so you'll need to fight
these guys. Mission Time!
Story Level Two,
Mission Twenty-Two: Infiltrate Bevelle
Mission Description: New Yevon's headquarters: Bevelle. Does Vegnagun
sleep deep beneath its streets? Take the lift down and see! Objective
- Find Vegnagun.
Talk to the Barkeep one last time for any items you might be needing,
and then hurry down the path. Once in Bevelle, enter the temple and run
into the room on the right. Stand on top of the stone to activate the
switch, then head over to the left room and touch the hologram. Hop on
the machina to take you down to what used to be the Cloister of Trials
down below.
Walk left, then up, then right. The lift will take you to another floor
(hey, how did Barkeep get there...?). Inside the Fayth Chamber is a
big hole, where they will jump down into. Move up and Yuna will slide
down a chain-links. After a battle, begin.
Move clockwise around each of the pillars and go up their steps to light
them up. Soon a fight with the Precepts Guard will happen.
Boss Eleven: Precepts
Guard
He has 3,680 HP, which will take a little bit to take away! He's
not too hard though--it's basically a matter of physical attacking and
healing. Do that and you'll be fine.
Now equip the Charm bangle to make this easier. Another fight!
Boss Twelve: Georapella
He has 4,420 HP and is no pushover. Basically do the same thing with
the other boss, only more so.
If you want you can stay and try to organize the platforms so you can
get Ribbon. Jump down three platforms into the next area. Run down the
hall and turn right. Go across with the elevator and open the chest for
the Downtrodden Garment Grid. Now go left and hop on the two pillars to
go across. Walk to the bottom left and stand on the glyph. Jump up when
it is down all the way. Now signal Rikku when needed. Obtain the accessory
Wring and Bloodlust this way.
Now continue on. Ride the left elevator, then head down. Ride the middle
one and activate the square. Take the right one and return to where
you left the left elevator. Ride the middle and activate the square.
Take the left again and activate the two squares here. Now take the
elevator to the north and ave. Hop on the pillars north and left to find
the Dark Knight Dressphere.
Boss Thirteen:
Baralai
Go up the steps and encounter Baralai, the praeter of Yevon. Obviously
you must fight. This battle isn't hard at all--that is, unless of course,
you want his Gun Mage ability Drill Shot. You can only get this at one
other place in the game, so it's a good idea to obtain it right now. Have
your Gun Mage attack and heal him when needed so eventually Baralai will
use it against you. Then finish him.
Boss Fourteen:
Bahamut
Good old Bahamut...well it seems as though you must face an old friend.
Anyways, his curse doesn't do much, but watch out for his Impulse. After
a count down of five Bahamut will perform his famous Mega Flare. Surprisingly,
and saddenly, it doesn't do as much damage as you might think. Anyways,
just keep attacking and he'll be gone.
Story Level Two
Complete!
