A native of Detroit, Michigan, my name is Brandi D. Meyer. I am a senior Computer Science major at Tennessee State University (TSU) in Nashville, Tennessee with an anticipated graduation date of Fall 2003. Upon graduation from TSU, I plan on attending graduate school in Michigan to obtain either a Master’s of Science in Information Systems or a Master’s of Business in Business Administration. My goal is to work in the field of Information Systems, in addition to having my own Non-profit organization.
"Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed."
-Booker T. Washington
I have various other interests aside from school, and I like to involve myself in extra-curricular activities. I am a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, Association for Computing Machinery, Pre-Alumni Council, Senior Senate, Student Tour Guides, and the Michigan Club. I enjoy playing tennis, reading novels, and doing community service in my leisure time. Some of my accomplishments include The Spirit of Detroit Award, The Girl Scout Gold Award, and The National Dean’s List.
I believe that all things are possible through Christ, and I apply that to my personal and professional life to get through the obstacles that I face throughout this journey of life.
“You can only go so far by yourself, but with God there is no boundary.”
