| Static Void | C++ is synonymous with greatness. Created by Bell Labs in the 1970's after the languages A and B failed, C offered the world of computing a fast, clean, powerful, and easy programming language. C++ took C one step further into the realm of Object Oriented Programming. It offers unparalleled control, while still maintaining simplicity and elegance. Originally intended for use in toasters and dishwashers, Java, a subset of C++, is taking the Web by force. Today everything from Nintendo and Computer games, to Windows Applications and Utilities are written in C++. For me, C++ is the First Language I've learned in depth. Because of its power, I've created some incredible programs with relative ease. C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot; C++ makes it harder, but when you do, it blows away your whole leg. - Bjarne Stroustrup |
