 | At some time or other during your holiday you will be required to visit various shops, if only because the tour group leader stands to make some commission on your purchases. For some people this is the opportunity to buy all kinds of knick-knacks for the folk' back home; for me it's a chance to take photos of the shops' display cabinets. I could fill a book with pictures I've taken on such occasions. Perhaps, sometime, I will. It's interesting to see the reactions of assistants when they encounter such behaviour. One assistant in the shop where I took these Russian dolls escorted me round, pointing out various displays which she thought might interest me. She didn't seem to mind when I left the store without making any purchases. |
