We first went to Holland in 1988. We had made friends with several Dutch families from the Dordrecht area whilst camping in France during the previous two summers and we gladly accepted the invitation to stay at the home of one of them in February '88. Although the weather was cold, it stayed fine and our friends escorted us to a number of interesting places around the south of Holland. The windmill you see here is one of seventeen at Kinderdijk which is only a short bicycle ride from their home. |
