We have been back to Holland several times since our first visit and have ventured a little further north to Amsterdam and it's surroundings. Our Dutch friends do not consider Amsterdam to be part of Holland at all, regarding it as an aberration and totally unrepresentative of their country. As we are never taken there during our visits we have only ever seen it in passing, and this is the only worthwhile picture I have of the place. Perhaps we will make the effort and visit it properly some day. |
