There are many attractive places within the vicinity of Amsterdam. One such is Edam which is one of the most picturesque old towns in the former Zuiderzee area with many interesting walks by its canals and bridges. I believe it produces over 80 million tons of cheese every year, but you don't need to know that to enjoy the atmosphere of the place. |
