 | During your Nile cruise your morning visit to the temple at Edfu will be followed by an afternoon trip to the temple at Kom Ombo. Here you will get two temples for the price of one. The larger of the two is dedicated to Horus the Elder and the other to the crocodile god, Sobek. This bears witness to the fact that in earlier time the river contained many crocodiles in this area. Don't worry, the only ones you will see now are the mummified ones in the temple. It is usually going dark by the time you leave here as you can see from the floodlit photo. |
