The Perfect Fan

Chapter 8

"Ah hem," Brian clears his throat, "So," he releases you from the hug that was so full of emotion your body was engulfed in it. He looks intensely in your eyes, "Would you like to join me for something to drink?"

"Sure, at the cafe?"

"Yeah, it looks like a nice place," Brian takes your hand and sincerely escorts you to the cute cafe hangout.

He casually glances at the sky, taps your shoulder, and points up, "Looks like our beautiful day isn't going to last." He frowns.

Your heart leaps as he says "our day" but you manage to calmly say, "Yeah, guess not." You frown, but only on the outside since nothing could ruin your day with Brian!

"Oh, don't be sad, Honey," he squeezes your hand which is held within his. You instantly feel completely better, not that much was ever wrong.

Suddenly a nudge from behind forces you slightly away from Brian, "Can... can I get your autograph Brian Littrell?" An eager face pops in front of you.

"Yeah, definitely," he wraps his arm around you, squeezing you tight, and showing you he still cares. He signs the outstretched CD quickly and kisses the young girl tenderly on the cheek.

"That you so much!" She manages to say with goo-goo eyes.

"My pleasure," he says sincerely as the little girl runs off in shock.

"So where were we?" Brian returns his focus to you. You give him a shocked look and he asks in surprise, "What?"

"You were so sweet that little girl."

"Yeah, well I guess I love my fans," he smirks and squeezes you closer.

"Are you this friendly with them all?" You smile.

"No, you are different, you are so incredible, yet so normal. You are just the perfect fan."

You blush before he catches his clever analogy. "I thought your mom had that position filled."

"Haha," he laughs, "Unfortunately she beat you to it, but you know what I meant."

"Oh do I?" You send him a playful look. You love flirting with him, he is so adorable.

"You are so cute," he smiles showing his perfect white teeth.

"You too."

After walking the next few steps in silence, Brian says, "So is this the place?"

"Yup. You sure are a quick one, Brian," you smile.

"Really funny, haha," he suddenly stops laughing and glares at you which makes you smile again. At the sight of your happiness he smiles too, after all, he was only pretending to be mad. You both sit and patiently await your waiter.

Brian smiles.

"What?"

He continues to smile.

"Ok, two can play this game," you smile in return.

"Aw, you are so adorable," he say.

Flattered by the compliment, you blush and unexpectantly you feel his hand grasp yours and you look up to see his smile again.

"Do you two need more time or would you like something to drink?" The waiter buds in.

"Oh, sorry, can we get two cappachinos?" Brian casually orders.

"Yes sir. That should be coming right up."

"Thank you, no rush," you say and smile at Brian as the waiter departs.

Brian shifts his leg below the table, slightly touching your leg. He looks up and into your eyes, "Sorry."

"It is ok, I don't mind it," you run your finger across his hand.

"So what else do you have in store for us today, Vanna?" Brian jokes.

You shrug, "I don't know what else there is to do."

"You serious? You all out of surprises?" He pretends to be shocked beyond belief.

"Unfortunately, I am fresh out. I suppose we could just chill," you state plainly.

"Yeah, but I have an idea," he smiles and continues, "How bout I surprise you this time?"

"Ok with me, big guy."

The waiter approaches, "Excuse me, it appears the frother on our cappachino machine isn't functioning properly at the moment. However, I did get one cappachino completed. Would you like another cup in order to split that?"

"Um," Brian ponders.

"That won't be necessary. Thank you," you cut Brian off in mid sentence.

"Don't you want any, sweetie?" he looks concerned.

"We can share," you point out.

He takes a sip, "Simply superb," he jokes.

"Oh really?" You slyly scoop your finger through the top layer of froth and smudge it on his cute little nose. You giggle at him.

"What was that for?!" he exclaims.

"I was sharing," you burst into uncontrolled laughter.

"Ok," he begins to wipe it off and starts to join in your laughter.

"Hey Brian, you missed a spot," you inform him.

"Where?" he innocently asks.

"Right here," you softly sweep it from his face and lick it off your finger. You move closer to his face and he suddenly draws forward, contacting his lips to yours.

After the oh-so-enjoyable kiss, you say, "I never knew cappachino could be so amusing."

He responds, "Just wait for my surprise, baby."
