"Yeah, wait up!" you chase close behind your best friend as she darts furiously around the side of the building running to where the BACKSTREET BOYS were supposedly appearing. The concert had been fantastic- not a surprise- but you are anxiously anticipating meeting the one and only Backstreet Boys! "Well I guess I should have expected this!" you comment as your eyes dart from anxious faces to tear striken cheeks. However, to your disliking, you don't see even the slightest sign of a Backstreet Boy.
Due to your extreme fondness for Brian Littrell, you scout the crowd for any sign of B-Rok himself. "Hey, I am heading over there, ok?" you shout over the madness to your friend as your eyes contact a fan holding a Brian poster.
"Yeah, whatever. I am staying put because I have my heart set on meeting every Backstreet Boy!" she responds.
Smiling, you respond kiddingly, "Oh, well not if I meet them all first! Meet up with ya later then, k?"
"Alright," she says with the most overjoyed expression and largest smile you have ever seen :-).
"Hey look at the cute doggie everyone," a deep voice behind you bellows. Turning, you discover a husky bodyguard type built man holding a tiny chihuahua above his head.
Hmmm.. that looks a lot like Lil Tyke! Nah, couldn't be! you think to yourself. Wait, who else would have a chihuahua here? As the mob of die-hard fans approached the lil thing, you distinctly recall the comment Brian made referring to how his cute little pup had been used as a diversion in the past to allow Brian to silently pass the fans and avoid some freaky confrontations.
One last look at the dog sends you in a frantic search for the escape path Brian was taking. Suddenly you site a narrow alley and you spot a trail of exhaust looming behind the building. As you proceed, the incessant hum grows louder until you turn the corner and view the BACKSTREET BOYS BUS!!!
Contrary to the mess you left, this area is quiet and there isn't a single fan or any other movement for that matter. The thought of retrieving your stubborn friend enters your mind, but it is quickly dismissed at the thought of being discovered. "If BSB sees me here, they will think I am psycho! I have to think of a reason for my being here!" your mind races with what to say if they should appear.
Throwing a terribly innocent look upon your face, you wander closer to the bus. AJ, a few yards before you, darts onto the bus. His red hair is easily recognized in the distance. Phone held to his ear, Howie slowly approaches the bus. "Yeah, yeah, I told you we would make it. We will be there! We are planning on staying here for tomorrow and heading out..." his voice trails off as he ascends the bus stairs.
By now you are nearing the building's back entrance and are directly across from the bus. A forceful thrust from behind sends you towards the ground. Thankfully a strong hand contacts you before you completely lose your balance. Instead, you land in the comforting arms of some perplexed guy.
"Oh, excuse me! I am extremely sorry, I didn't see you!" he apologizes as he holds you in his embrace.
"Oh, it is ok, actually thanks for um... catching me," you feel your face flush before even making eye contact.
"No problem", he laughs. The laugh and accent are easily recognized in your Brian-crazed head!
Your eyes meet his, "Woah, you're, you're Brian!" you stutter.
"Yeah, almost thought I could get by without you noticing... so much for that," he casts a charming smile.
"Nah, unfortunately I think the public spotlight is part of the job description. But almost!" you joke.
He smiled in reply and jokes in return, "Man, I wish I had myself a copy of that job description thing!"
You laugh softly as he places you on your feet. "Looks like you really swept her off her feet this time Rok," a voice from behind says.
"Huh?" Brian turns, confused, to find Nick Carter standing behind him under the street light. "Oh well clumsy me seems to have done it again."
"So I am not the first victim?" you question pretending to be shocked.
He blushes, "No," he chuckles, "but actually you are the first who hasn't screamed, or cried," he starts to mumble, "or both."
"Ok, that makes me wonder about your fans, Brian, I mean I don't think celebrities should be treated any different than normal people like, well, me," you inform him.
"Wow," his face lights up, "Are you serious? I have waited forever to have someone actually see me.. well us... as normal!" Brian says.
"Well, Brian Littrell, I would hope you are!" you say playfully.
"Brian we have to get going," Nick urges.
"Hang on Frack, be right there. Why don't you wait in the bus?"
"Ok, but lets get a move on Bri!" Nick silently leaves.
"So, I didn't catch your name, " Brian states.
"Oh, sorry," you tell him your name as you stroll beside him, walking to the bus.
"Well, we are stayin here tomorrow for the entire day. I don't know my way around obviously and I could use a break from the guys. I guess what I am trying to say is would you like to show me around?" he almost blushes as he asks.
"That would be fun," you are incredibly excited but try not to show it.
"So, is there a lot to do here?"
"Oh, I will think of something," you smile slyly.
He sends his gorgeous smile back and says,"Great so can I call you?"
"Yeah, here," you scribble your number on a wrapper in your pocket. "See you tomorrow then?"
"Thanks, hopefully I will talk to you sooner!" he smiles again and his dreamy blue eyes shimmer slightly under the street light, "Oh, and sorry for running into you like that!"
"My pleasure," you blush again, "Talk to you later."
"Bye."
"Bye," you mumble in a daze as Brian mounts the bus. As the bus leaves your sight, you sigh and turn to walk to the entrance you had stumbled upon earlier. Suddenly, an exhausted voice and a tap from behind, "There you are!" you see you friend, "Hey what happened to you? You look like your mind is in another world!"
"It is!" you exclaim out of pure joy.
