Josh and Liz had started dating after the party. Now that Liz would be in New York, they would be able to be together. Brian hurt more and more as time went by. He kept his feelings to himself, however Nick knew he was hurting. Zach, Darren, Megan, Nick and Josh were all going to spend Liz's last week with her. Everybody was camping out in the den every night watching movies and helping Liz pack during the day.
The night before Liz was moving…
Everybody had gone out to get pizza and movies except for Liz and Brian, who were hanging out on the hammock in her back yard. Neither of them could find anything to say. Brian stood up to leave. As he did he lost his footing and fell. He grabbed onto the hammock, tilting it so that Liz fell with a thump, and landed right on top of Brian.
"That was real smooth, B!" Liz said, laughing hysterically. She rolled off of him to her side.
"Yeah, well, you know me!" he cried, tears were rolling down his face he was laughing so hard. They layed on the ground until they had calmed down. They stayed still in silence for a few more minutes, gazing into the dark sky. "I'm really gonna miss you, Lizzy."
"I'm gonna miss you too, Bri," she whispered to him, taking his hand. "When will you be in New York with the guys next?"
"We'll be in New York in about eight weeks for the MTV music awards. I have a five-day break in about a month. I'm going to visit my parents for three days, and I'm going home for two. Maybe I could stay with my parents for two days and take a short stop in New York for a day."
"That would be so cool, Bri!" Liz said rolling over and facing Brian. "Nothing's gonna be the same without you!" she said, hugging him.
"Yeah, I know," Brian answered solemnly. He put his hands on her back. This is how it should be forever, he thought.
