1920's Glass Battery Set

Pictured above is a glass battery set from the 1920s. This one was homemade. Many homebrewers did this to clearly show thier skill in building thier own radio. Building the cabinet took great skill. The glass that was used was heavy plate glass which was easy to crack or break. You can see all the components that make up the radio. The maker and owner of this radio would be very proud of this one.

1939 Detrola Model 302

Pictured above is the 1939 Detrola model302 clock radio. Clock radios were still a novelty item in radios in the 1930s. Clock radios would not become popular untill the 1950s when Techron clock motors came in use. This radio with it's triangle shaped cabinet and large round gold faced clock is a stand out in design. This radio is one of the most desirable of the Detrola models that is in a wood cabinet.

1939 Pilot ModelB1151

Hi Ho Silver and away! Who was that masked man on my radio dial? Well if you had this modelB1151 Pilot you would know it was the Lone Ranger!
