Welcome to Northern Lights Aquatics !
Greetings and welcome to Northern Lights Aquatics, home of Alaska's largest non-commercial freshwater fishroom ! Those of you who are entering here from my old site, I think you will be pleased with my new look and feel, as well as expanded resources and gallery. For all you newcomers, I'm very pleased that you're stopping by to visit. I hope you enjoy my site, and come back often. This is my place to share my passion for my fish and website creation with all of you.
My primary focus is African Cichlids, with concentration on the Tanganyikan flock, as well as IFGA Show Guppies. My goal is to breed and rear these fish as pure and high quality strains.
I am adding species profiles specifically for the strains of fish I breed in my fishroom. These can be found on the Articles page.
In addition, I have added a Remedy Chart and Unit Conversion page for those who would like assistance in identifying diseases and finding cures. It's also a snap using the second table for converting temperatures, volumes and lengths !
I have a new Thoughts and Feedback page for visitors to submit their ideas and comments on my site.
I added a table of Yahoo EGroups on my Links page for those who may be interested in joining email based African Cichlid groups.
I have an Order page for fish that I have available as well as my high protein food that I blend myself.
I created a new Webring specifically for sites with an African Cichlid theme ! It's called All African Cichlids. Any interested parties with African Cichlid sites whether personal or commercial are welcome to join ! You can see the Webring Banner and access the hub to join on my Webrings page. I created a new page to showcase properly the Awards my site has now won, and in the future, may win.
In order to reduce clutter on this page, I created an About page, specifically for my ramblings about my fish and fishroom, as well as the information about the strains I breed.!
In addition to the Gallery page to showcase my photos, I have now added a Slideshow page, for viewing the fullsize images in a cool fade-in slideshow format. Check it out !
