Dream Analysis

Freud argued that dreams are the products of the unconscious. the unconscious emotions connected with events of the day, known as day residue, are mixed with noises and the physical state taking place at the time of sleep to form a dream. The dream is then combined with unconscious wishes, especially those from childhood, to create a latent dream. What the person consciously remembers after the dream is called manifest dream (Hales and Yudofsky 142).
