To all Oki-Kobudo members coming to the main dojo for classes on Tuesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm will pay $10 a class.

Sensei Quinton Massey will test for his Oki-Kobudo shodan in Delaware on June 21, 2008 from 11am-3pm.

On March 22, 2008, Kyoshi Wiggins conducted an Oki-Kobudo class at Sensei Quinton Massey's dojo under the watchful eyes of his teacher Hanshi Bennie Zip Young. The focus of practice was on the sai & tonfa basics.

On July 19, 2008, Kyoshi Wiggins will conduct an Oki-Kobudo seminar at the Rosehill Community Center, 19 Landson Ln, New Castle, DE 19720 from 12pm-3pm. This seminar is open to all styles of martial arts wanting to advance their weapons knowledge. Seminar certificates will be given to all participants for this 3-hour event. Congratulations to Sensei Quinton Massey of New Castle, Delaware, for sucessfully passing his Oki-Kobudo black belt test on Saturday, June 21, 2008. The test lasted for 3-hours with a tough examination board from Delaware. Sensei Massey displayed that never give up attitude, even when he was about to past out during his test. Sensei Massey is the first outsider to ever teach and reach the black belt level in Oki-Kobudo.

On July 19, 2008, Kyoshi Wiggins conducted an Oki-Kobudo seminar in New Castle, DE assited by his student Quinton Massey of Delaware. The seminar was a great success with a number of people coming out and experiencing Oki-Kobudo for the first time. The weapons taught were Takamura No Sai, Pechin Nokun and Maehara No Tonfa, which received wonderful reviews from Master Jamal El, Goju ryu expert and Sensei's Beth and Chris from the New Jersey Black Belt Association under Master Tony Lingo.

On January 4, 2009, Kyoshi Tyrone Wiggins Sr., Sensei Tyrone Wiggins Jr. and Sensei Quinton Massey were on the TV show "The Artist". This was a half hour live show that featured Oki-Kobudo only, and it was aired in Delaware on channel #28 and hosted by Omar Rashida. However, since the show was live, there was no time for errors when they performed Oki-Kobudo at the Comcast studio. This was the first time that Oki-Kobudo has ever been on TV, thanks to Sensei Massey and his student Omar Rashida.

On May 1, 2009, Hanshi Peter Carbone, President of the Ryukyunote Weapons Society, emailed Kyoshi Tyrone Wiggins Sr. and invited him to an Okinawan weapons seminar in Northville, Michigan for the weekend of May 15-17. On May 4, 2009, Hanshi Carbone traveled to Okinawa, Japan and picked up his teacher, Grand Master Nakamoto Kiichi, 10th Degree Ryukyu Weaponry Master, Direct student of Shosei Kina, Last formal student of Goju ryu founder Chojun Miyagi and Samurai Sword Master. Kyoshi Wiggins accepted the invitation and will travel to Northville, Michigan with his student, Sensei Quinton Massey, the Delaware Oki-Kobudo Director.

On May 18, 2009 at 12:40 am, Kyoshi Wiggins and Sensei Quinton Massey returned from Northville, Michigan, where they trained in Kobudo for three grueling days, with one of them being for 7-hours straight. Kyoshi Wiggins and Sensei Massey along with many others whom came from everywhere, were drilled repeatedly in standardized bo, sai, nunchaku and tonfa kihons by Hanshi Peter Carbone, while Grand Master Nakamoto Kiichi kept an eye on everyone. Kyoshi Wiggins will now put sai, tonfa and nunchaku kihons in Oki-Kobudo as a training tool for the beginner students.

On Saturday, October 10, 2009, Kyoshi Tyrone Wiggins Sr. and Sensei Quinton Massey, taught a women's self defense awareness class at the Bapist Worship Church from 10am-12pm. The turnout was great, with more then 50 young girls and women ages 8-47 participating in this wonderful event. Kyoshi Wiggins and Sensei Massey will be the first to tell you, do not mess with the ladies of the Bapist Worship Church, unless you want a beat down. Ms. Ursaula Johnson the church coodinator was so excited in how we conducted the self defense class for the women, she want us to return for the men's class.

On Saturday, June 19, 2010 in Newcastle,DE, Tyrone Wiggins II. will be testing for 4th Dan in Karate & Oki-Kobudo while at the same time receiving his teachers license. Other yudansha's testing are Sensei Quinton Massey for 2nd Dan and Joseph Clark for 1st Dan in Oki-Kobudo. Mr. Joe Robinson, Lloyd G. Webb, Daniel Johnson, Erik Hilton and Sam Bell will receive their brown belts in Oki-Kobudo. Sensei Erik G. Hilton, 4th Dan Shotokan, will be promoted to advisor to Kyoshi Tyrone Wiggins Sr. Shihan Stacy Johnson, 7th Dan Shorin Ryu, Timothy Wood, 5th Dan Seishi-Ryu and Joseph Clark, 5th Dan Goju Ryu, will be promoted to board members of the SKKF. The U.S. Oki-Kobudo Director, Sensei Quinton Massey, 5th Dan Goju Ryu, will also receive his instructor certification in Oki-Kobudo. The test starts at 10:00 am-until it is over.
