  Soldier Medic

I am a soldier above all but I am also a...

I learned how to become a soldier at Ft Leonard Wood.  It was a long 8 weeks of intensively grueling training.  My Drill Sergeant can be seen in the picture on my Bio page.  Drill Sergeant Davis is the best Drill I have ever known!  He gave me the best advice anyone could get!  "Do the right thing."  I try to do just that everyday.  Well when those 8 weeks were done I hopped a bus and rode for what seemed an eternity to Ft Sam Houston.  I was so happy to be back in Texas!  I was going to be here for 10 weeks!  I saw alot of San Antonio.  I went to the Alamo, saw all the malls and met all kinds of cool punks!  And above all there were women! Not at all like here!  I became a medic after we completed our FTX.  We woke up at o' dark thirty and began a 6 mile road march!  It was like the Bataan Death March!   The Drills were yelling at us to hurry up, the road was uneven and rocky, and my feet were rubbing themselves raw!  The horror!  I was glad when all that was over!  It was all down hill from there!  We had less than a week to go before we graduated!  That week was filled with drinking and stuff that may not be suitable for people under 17!   I jumped aboard a plane and headed South for Brownsville!   I had the time of my life there with all my old cronies!  We went to Mexico and drank ourselves silly!  That is another story...

I am now at Ft Wainwright, aka "Ft Freeze Your Nuts."  It is not all that bad, I mean there are a few women, but you got to compete with 30 other guys for the same gal!   I am getting used to the winters here they are not nearly as bad as I thought they would be.  I am looking foward to seeing the sun and felling it's warmth on my back and shoulders!
