Well, what do you think so far? *S* Believe me there is a lot more. *S*
BIRD IN MIRROR
When asked "If you were a bird, what would
you be?"
An answer did not come readily.
I pondered and thought as I soared,
high above myself so I could see.....
ME.
As an owl, my vision sharp,
I saw things about myself
shrouded in dark.
As a crow, my cunning fine,
I saw strife in thine eye.
As a loon, my instinct clear,
I saw things which I fear.
As an eagle, noble and bold,
I saw my heart broken and old.
"I do not wish to be a bird,"
I exclaimed.
"But why," asked she.
"Because if I could fly,
all around I would see
people like me."

This next small poem was written for a
friend of mine, who, like many others in this
world, had a small problem that grew into a
bigger one. She however was lucky she found
the sense to stop before it consumed her,
there are many who aren't so lucky. I Think,
but I am not sure, she still reads this. If
you are out there {{ Shortie...*L* }}, you
haven't been forgotten my friend.
RUSH
Please, please if you will
my body needs another pill.
Hurry please if you might
I cannot stand to live in fright.
Relax please if you would,
a blank mind is understood.
Rest please if you can,
shaking at the thought of the plan.
Stop please if you dare,
the heart damaged beyond repair.
Dream please of where you've been,
tommorrow you'll do it over again.

SLEEPY ONE
The pins and needles felt tingly,
not painful this time around.
Perhaps a feeling new?.....
wonders he who possesses them.
Clocks striking past the midnight hour,
clamouring about the past.
Like a dusty book in a library,
that no one has read for years.
Do you hear the squeaking of springs
of a bed unslept in for a time?
Don't rule out the floor,
for in the corner he lies.....

FEAR OF NOTHING
I sit, frozen.
Thoughtless, I realize,
as my blood courses heavily.
Destiny came and went,
flickering like a candle,
blown out by some wind of change.
Be calm I say,
under my breath,
which I see before me,
gripped in an icy mist.
Stolen from my cloud,
I suddenly worry that I am
in fear of nothing.
