THE SILENT WATERS

Silent waters yet undiscovered, do they

rage when no one looks?

Do they rage when no one will listen?

The heart a fleshy piston which pumps

madly with an unknown touch,

and overheats when alone.

Swirling clouds above his eyes,

he hardly feels his surroundings.

The storms approach as he turns his head,

in a direction yet unknown.

A curving angle if at all possible,

an arc which flows to no end,

hoping the road straightens beyond

this tunnel around the next bend.

Let down and many dreams lost,

his pride as a man is seemingly gone.

He clings to the hopes of a future tommorrow,

as he locks another door within his heart.

Soon no one will discover the silent water

of his heart,

which rage when she doesn't look,

which rage when she doesn't listen,

which rage when she doen't care.

His tears feed the swirling

clouds above his eyes.

MOONLIT FIELDS

By the light of a distant star

a man sought refuge from the day

a wind from the North brought a chill

upon his skin relief from the sun's heat

he knew his dreams were close not far

as his body lay on the hardened clay

hearing her scream out so shrill

a voice wanting to hold, to meet

~~~~~~~~~~
Closing his eyes, he saw a field of snow
the moonlight casting a romantic glow
he saw an angel dancing in the cold
wishing to place her in his loving hold
She held out a thin silken hand
her heat melting the liquid sand
he admired her, the way she pranced
and thus joined her in the dance
~~~~~~~~~~~

Shadows cast from an angel of the cold

before him his dreams began to unfold

as she stopped and looked into his eyes

her heart told her she realized

no longer would she need to scream

for this man made up her every dream

nary a word but smiling she took his hand

and walked with him through the frozen land.

THOUGHT # 1

Once again tonight I am alone

to lay in a bed we once shared

to face oncoming dreams of hope

afraid to wake cold and scared

~~~~~~~~
As I close my tired eyes I see
your shining face bright
the wavs of wonderful dreams
last night after night
~~~~~~~~

And in the morning sun as I wake

I turn to see you in your frame

I wipe the restless sleep from my eyes

knowing today's hopes are the same.
