1) Don't use no double negatives. 2) A writer must not shift your point of view. 3) Each person must agree with their antecedent. 4) Don't write run together sentences you must punctuate correctly. 5) About sentence fragments. 6) Verbs is supposed to agree with their subjects. 7) Just between you and we, pronoun case is unimportant. 8) Don't use, unnecessary commas. 9) Placing a comma between subject and predicate, is all wrong. 10) Parenthetical words however should be put between commas. 11) Nonrestrictive or nonessential relative clauses which are a common source of difficulty should also be set off with commas. 12) Consult the dictionery freqently to avoid mispellings. 13) Its' important to use apostrophe's right. 14) Don't abbrev. 15) Avoid cliches like the plague. Give them a wide berth, and then your professor will be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. 16) Check to see if you any words out. 17) Do not use obscure foreign terms when there is an adequate English quid pro quo. 18) Mixed metaphors are a pain in the neck and ought to be thrown out the window. 19) It behooves the writer to eschew archaic expressions. 20) Avoid slang; even the grooviest slang quickly goes out of date.
