Welcome to My Home Country: The Netherlands aka Holland It's a small country in Western Europe. Between the North Sea in the west, Germany in the east and Belgium & France in the south. It's not bigger as 41,000 square kilometers and has almost 15 million inhabitants. The Netherlands is the densest populated country in the world. A very common phrase that has echoed all over Europe from way back when is: God may have indeed created the Heaven and Earth, but it was the Dutch who created the Netherlands. The people are liberal, flexible and mostly open minded. The Dutch people have a unique approach to living vis-a-vis their unconventional mode, which has helped to forge a distinctly different national identity as a people, that is markedly different from that of their European neighbors.A free country with a spirit of individualism. The government consists of a coalition of three political party's and they know, as well as our people, how to work and live together in a small space. Our well respected and beloved Queen Beatrix looks after us all. We made her mother’s birthday into our biggest National Holiday (April 30th). The Dutch tent to be very proud of their little country and I think we have every right to be! ~~smile~~ Have a look for yourself I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
