4th April,2001

. Tuesday night saw three other Conference games take place as well as the Variety Trophy Northern semi final between Nuneaton and Morecambe.

Hereford had only lost twice at Edgar Street all season but it became three on Tuesday night when Woking took all three points with a 1-0 win. Steve Perkins grabbed Woking's winner in the 71st minute.

Leigh RMI leapfrogged Southport following a 1-0 victory over relegation threatened Kettering at Hilton Park. Tony Black scored Leigh's winner after 72 minutes.

In the other Conference game Kingstonian and Scarborough fought out a 2-2 draw. Paul Ellender gave Scarborough the lead early on before the K's equalised through Ronnie Green on 28 minutes. Scott Jordan put Boro into the lead again six minutes later but Colin Luckett struck to win the K's a vital point in their push for survival.

In the Nationwide Variety Trophy game played on Tuesday night Nuneaton Borough beat Morecambe 2-0 and will now play us at the Deva next Tuesday night.
