BIOGRAPHY

Michael Laechel has been a freelance/singer/songwriter/composer for the past 15 years. He grew up in Deerfield Illinois, at 201 Park Lane, where he began his rock and roll music life career. He started his musical dream by viewing many MTV videos as a child and playing with old instruments around the house. Although the electric guitar was his dream instrument, he started out playing piano and taking lessons. After a about a year with the piano, he realized he couldn't play Metallica tunes on the keys. He got his first custom made Dean Z Jammer II black electric guitar and started a rock and roll band with his friends. Years went by, and Michael played with a variety of different bands throughout the Chicago area. Laechel realized that music was his life, and songwriting was his destiny. He built his first home recording studio with only pieces from old stereos and other parts he found at his local 'Radio Shack' store. First many demos were recorded on normal cassette tapes. Hundreds of tapes were recorded from his first note ever hit on his guitar and keyboard. There are demo tapes of his floating around the USA and around the world from his many recordings. Friends of his can't believe the many recordings created, that keep getting added to his never ending library of musical creations. As the years go by, Michael Laechel is starting to get noticed throughout the Chicago/Milwaukee area. He graduated from Barat College of DePaul University, with a B.A. in Humanities and a Concentration in Music. His songwriting career keeps growing stronger along with his amazing talent. Michael Laechel is on the rode to success and nothing will stop this dream he has burning within. After playing with many Chicago bands, Laechel went on to his solo mission. Michael has since bought 6 more guitars (one Gibson Les Paul), and 2 more keyboards, and updated his home recording studio to the max. Thirty albums produced, written, recorded, and performed by Michael Laechel, have given him the support he needs to be recognized in the music industry. As a college student he started his own record label, "Addiction Records". There was no need to be hunting for record labels, when he could design his entire layout from album covers, to the actual recorded music itself. Michael is coming a long way with his talent and his songwriting. He has, and will continue to have songs of his broadcasted on Chicago's Top-40 FM radio stations, Q-101.1 and 102.3, and Milwaukee's Top-40 FM radio Rock 102.1. Now that Michael has graduated from college with his music degree, many more albums are on the way. His goal is 100 albums! He is currently located in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area, and is recording new songs and albums daily. In mid 2003, Laechel won a "Jingle Contest" for Winterfresh Gum. He has recorded a T.V. Commercial that features the jingle, and has recorded several radio spots for Winterfresh Gum. At the present time, Laechel is performing Live Internet Steaming Video/Audio Concerts from his home in Mequon, WI USA.
