Dustin's Campaign
"Dustin's Game" as it is so appropriately dubbed by our group has become host to a score of different characters in a complex world and system respectively created and modified by Dustin himself. It is the most versatile and often complex game that we have running. With several new developments in Dustin's cosmology and world at large - plus the playtesting of his new system - this only promises to continue.

The only places you'll really have to know for now are Kennor and Confusia. Kennor is the city where everything happens for our characters and Confusia is where the epitome of civilization lays its roots.
The Party:
The party continually changes. There is only one constant among it: that there will always be one of the "Original Five." That is to say, there will always be one of Mikhael, Delbin, Alora, Shaye or Aliksander. Currently, Mikhael, Delbin and Shaye continue this tradition with no sign of our Grey Elven friend or Dragon-Loved companion. Perhaps they will return in the future. If not, we wish them well.
Mikhael de Lyonn - Mikhael began as an undead Paladin inspired - in part - by Christopher Walken's "Horseman" character in Sleepy Hollow. With hardship and struggle, he regained his life, only to have it stolen in a more sinister way by Richter. Recently, though, due to circumstances beyond his control, he's been allowed to return to full glory... free of the taint that threatened to overwhelm him. Though he still grieves for the loss of his wife and the distance of his daughter, Rose, he has slowly begun to love again.
The need for ressurection came again very recently when he sacrificed himself so that others could live during the party's stint at Invigia. The Party regained his life under strange circumstances which no one seems to wish to discuss, save Delbin, and spare Mikhael the details. Played by Sam.
His lost wife and Rose long ago
Delbin -
It would be unfair to say that Delbin has been with us since the beginning. In a way, he was the beginning. He is the soul of the group, if Mikhael is the heart, and holds us together in times of greatest need. Irrepressible at best and irritating at worst, Delbin is singularly responsible for many of the party's major triumphs, as well as some of our major 'oopsies.' Recently married, Delbin is currently trying to desperately avoid his wife. Along with Mikhael's erstwhile ressurection, Delbin is now demanding the group 'fix' whatever we did when questing for Mikhael's survivla. Artword by Jenny O. of Elfwood. Played by Jon.
Shaeniedriana- Half-Nymph Rogue. Neither heart nor soul nor breath nor life, Shaye is usually contented to take a backseat to the dealings of the Party in general. Though with Alora's unannounced disappearance, Shaye has been pushed into the limelight out of necessity, it is a precarious position at best, though one she has taken on with determination. Though her initial introduction to the party was stained with blood and pain, she has managed to overcome it and, finally, welcome the warmth of a lover once more. Played by Christy.
The Water Imp - One of the many NPC's who has chosen to remain with the party over the years, the Water Imp is equal parts caustic wit and violent humour. Introducing Mikhael to the party, he still professes to be the paladin's "ranking officer."
Ayla - Ayla is a warrior from a fierce group of people called the Dredd. Huge in size, Ayla is capable of amazing feats, such as kicking the asses of whatever we come across in regards to greenskins, monsters and other nasties. Fleeing the Dredd empire after she was refused a position as a knight, Ayla took up with us to prove herself an honourable person so that the guilds in the Dredd empire would accept her. Stoic yet friendly, Ayla finally managed to prove herself to the Dredd and was rewarded the rank of knight. Though she still takes it upon herself to perform the menial tasks of daily life, this has been made easier with the addition of Simon to the party.
Lorm - A former avatar, Lorm has the strict disadvantage of dying and coming back to life. Why a disadvatage, you ask? Because no matter what happens to cause his death, it is always atrociously messy and usually pretty painful. He is from Talion, which was destroyed along with the god he was avatar of. He is good hearted and kind to a fault. Though he was brewed into a batch of Kender Lauger® while in Kendermore, he's always maintained a friendly outlook.
Khorghan - Stone and skeleton in appearance, this flaming warrior has been following Delbin around for a while now. He says that his kind learn their destinies from a set of ancient prophecies. His destiny, or so he says, was to find and protect a person of roughly Delbin's description. However, it recently came to light that the description would fit more or less any kender at all - although if the prophecies are correct, then it's kind of infallable, so that's alright. His familiarity with the party has given way for his ability to be quite vocal and show the party the depths of his dual nature. At one moment representing yang, he changes to yin the next second - a rather drastic change. He still refuses to agree to anything that could jeopardize the "destiny" of himself and Delbin, but usually doens't have much choice where the kender is concerned.
Simon Halfthalson - During his quest to obtain a Holy Avenger, Mikhael met the young man who would now be called his squire. Proving the be of stout heart and loyal thoughts, he has taken it upon himself to perform the humbling tasks that Ayla prefers to do on her own. The added hands are a bane to Ayla's determination to accomplish these tasks by herself, but Simon is determined.
Marmiel-Estem - Known as Marmiel. A know-it-all magic ring that will share it's information... if you pay it with life points! Cheap little git... but useful nonetheless.
Bojangles - Delbin's pet/familiar. A flying squirrel with an attitude problem who will give any one at any given time the finger. I think the expression on the squirrel's face in the picture really does Bojangles credit.
Gambit - Shaye's Cooshee familiar. Now the size of a small pony, he has a bark that can be heard for miles around. This can be quite painful if you're standing next to him.
Alora - Our truant Grey Elven companion. Alora has, at any given time, more information and plotlines running than any other person in the group. Currently summoned back to the Grey Elven capital for crimes commited against their codes, Alora has left the party indefinitely. Returning to the party only for a short time after their encounter with the orcish wastes, she disappeared with a hard glint in her eye and dark puropose in her breast. Though a package at Mikhael's home in Kennor waits unopened for Shaye, the half-nymph is hesitant to open it, seeing this last, silent parting as a final goodbye. Art by Sive O'Connor. Played by David.
Aliksander
- Blind to the world, yet perhaps more perceptive than many of us, Aliksander is the remaining member of a destroyed family line. Raised by dragons, Alik has a long history with the True Colours and has acted as a 'diplomat' between the party and their aliens ways several times before. Recently married to Janice, Alik has completed his studies and has a new master, though he will never reveal who. Perhaps it is Janice, perhaps the dragons or perhaps just himself.
Artwork and character creation by Chris.
Minor Characters
There are a lot of minor characters that add so much to Dustin's game that to have a page without them would have absolutely no sense. So, here we go...
- Asvalad - Another of Sam's characters, Asvalad was... well... Asvalad. Of an indeterminant gender, this (guy? girl? whatever?) was with us for a while. Using a psycho-kinetic like power known as "True Magic" Asvalad was always a big help in battle. A bit... strange, but a big help.
- Tehridel - Sam's orginal character. Originally, this guy was supposed to stay in for a while. A tiefling with a major libido charge, Tehridel decided to run off and hang out with the Succubi. It is much suspected that he became an Incubus' bitch, but no one's quite sure...
- Lessis - Lessis is reputed to be over four hundred years old and one of the great witches, though she only ranks within the top 50 in the Sisterhood. Her disappearence from Kennor followed the use of her name in a sensitive conversation involving Alora - though the relation between the two is dubious at best. Her whereabouts are currently unknown, though Seagull!Mikhael saw her briefly on a different continent, he was unable to say much to her.
- Mathania - An elven girl who, for the most part, "hung around" with Alora for a few months (so THAT'S what they call it these days...) I'm not quite sure what happened to her... but I never got along too well with her anyway. Wonder why... She is a nature loving ranger, and is probably a nice person.
- Richter - The questionable ride of the King of Kennor was followed closely by his near-deposition once Mikhael fought with him for his life and honour. With his health currently in decline and his at-odds relation with both the Dredd and his Honour Guard, Richter finds his hold on his kingdom very tenuous.
- Grill - An old chemist who will probably come after me when he finds out that he's on the 'Minor Characters' list. He's a bit of a hedonist with a empassioned lust for life. Following a conversation with Alora, Grill disappeared from the Argo - sending her on a veritable wild goose chase to find him - and has not been seen since.
- Adrian - His mother was the victim of a viscious rape and his heritage is strikingly obvious. Grimp, he has been under the care of Grill since his overly-sentimental mother refused to kill him at birth. With Grill's disappearence, Adrian's whereabouts are now unknown.
- Janice - Her blatantly obvious affection for Aliksander finally payed off, having wed him while he was studying away from the party. Still the object of speculation (ie. we still don't really know who she is, what she is or what the full extent of her mysterious powers are) we can be certain that her love for Alik is long-standing and true.
- Freedan - Aliksander's (former) battle dragon. The original reason Alik joined with the group, Freedan was, for a while, being held as a gladiator in a strange arena. With the recent transformation, Freedan has taken on a new, more adult attitude regardless of the fact he is still fairly young. This, however, does not mean that he is immune the the random act of playfulness, which may mean that his days of cow-tipping are far from over.
- Svesh - Can't very well have a list without Svesh, can you? A magical sword that Alora covets above all else, Svesh holds immense power and was the hero in a tragic Romeo-Juliet story of woe. His lover, Catherine, was freed from a similar enchanment and is still searching for her lover. Alora will not be happy if Catherine ever finds him.
- Kurtis - Initially chasing Delbin, Kurtis came to be a good friend when the search for an ancient book lead The Group into a situation where everyone was either a friend or an enemy. He suffers from an internal struggle as he feels himself a person bound to first and foremost due his duty or die in the process, but sometimes this interfere's with his own sense of moral justice and in this lack of clarity lies his difficulty in making decisions, and his difficulty in understanding himself. Following the splitting of the group, Shaye pursued him with a locate spell into the deep desert. Forced to give up due to the high toxicity levels, she still does not know whether or not he is alive.
- Cole - Jon's temporary character who was a selfih, vindictive, spiteful, HORRIBLE bastard and screwed all of us over big time where it came to getting credit for the work. It's so good to have Delbin back. Of course, Cole is still getting into trouble. having stepped on some very dangerous toes, he has been forced to go into hiding. Deep hiding.
- Alan - Adam's character. A mute whose only way of communicating is through the use of a slate and chalk. The employee of a small shipping company, this moon elf has taken up the life of theiving because... well... he couldn't find another class? Feeling alienated by the party's use of him as nothing more than a mode of transportation, Alan has gone to do some soul searching and find his true place in the world.
- Force Thedoorin - A dwarf. An annoying dwarf. A dwarf who almost got himself killed when he pissed Shaye and Alora off a few too many times. He was freakishly tall for a dwarf, standing learger than some humans. Played by Adam, Force screwed off when he met a kobold (well, not literally. At least, I don't think so). He's fighting for kobold liberation these days (don't ask why or where, no one seems to care.)
- Rose - Mikhael's daughter and member of the Sisterhood of the Grey. She's quiet and keeps to herself. Sharing her father's good looks and charm, she is a bit more down-to-earth. She has a good heart and strong opinions.
As a child, with her mother
- Count Rougen - The gentleman vampire that we so recently were set upon. Proving to be a great gentlement and kind in spirit, Rougen practices all the courtly graces (ie. kissing a lady's hand). Sworn not to let evil overcome him, Rougen has made a vow never to harm a living soul or do any great harm.
- Gordan - The priest with TrueSight that set us upong Count Rougen in the first place. We don't know a lot about him, I'll leave it at that (read: Christy can't think of anything else to say).
- Catch-Thatcher - The Gnomish policeman that has accompanied us, he's a bit moody and is easily depressed. Always displaying the utmost professional attitudes, deep down he really is quite happy to be around us. As those who are acquainted with Gnomish society know, the concept to evil is foreign to him and a very displeasing idea. Still perplexed by people in the world above, he and his kind have gathered to discuss the idea of further dealings with them following the murders.
- Gorath - The leader of the free-willed golemns the Party encountered in that cave near where they found Shaye... shall we mention the name of his "beligerant lieutenant", Kaigan?
- Lord Eberan - The slightly flighty and obviously incompetent Necro that the Party encountered and did a job for back in Kennor.
- Markus - Richter's double-agent at the Keep. He ran a message to the Party and was knocked unconscious (read: clonked on the head) for his troubles. His fate as of now is unknown to all save Richter.
- Kistner - Formerly in a position of power amoung the fell horsemen of the Dark Lords, he was converted to the Party's cause when one of his own troops killed him and he was risen again. Agreeing to assist the Party, everything beyong that is known well enough.
- Reginald - The Prince of Kennor, now permanently imprisoned in a tower for the crime of poisoning his father the King. Believed not fit to rule even before the incident, he was a fool and known to give in heavily to drink.
- King Sanker - The former, rather mesoginistic King of Kennor, he died an un-happy and lonely man. Just so you know he had his former wife executed for commiting adultry, which has still not been proven.
- Princess Besita - Sanker's daughter, though far more fit to rule Sanker would have never allowed it, he has no fondness for women. She also has a tendency to sleep around a lot.
- The Royal Advisor Murdok (Lessis) - King Sanker's chief advisor on all things, he'd probably die again if he ever found out he's been taking the advice of a woman for the last half of a century. For information on the sudden disappearence, see Lessis.
- The Wood/Tree Imp - The self-proclaimed guardian of Yggdrassil.
- Trinley - The selfish, and underhanded gnomish agent that represented most of the party at the Great Colliseum, in Confushia. He represented a good share of the party once more this year, though his dealings were slightly less lucrative.
- Turok - A reasonably friendly and talkative orc that happened to be at the battle at the Tunina forest that survived to enter the Collisium and was bunked in the same room as Delbin, he didn't want to attack the forest he's more interested in monetary profit rather than random shocking violence. He has recently fallen in with Hegek.
- Ferdinand - One of the few remaining Talionese nobles, his noble heritage is apparent in his appearance. He wields the legendary shield of Ooscar known to stop anything. In addition to be a world reknowned hero and swordsmen he's also an all-around nice guy. He was killed by Korronoss and then brought back by Delbin. Since then he has gone on a quest to recover his missing shield from the stomach of a sea monster and returned to the land soon after. Choosing not to participate in the tournament this year, chances are that the party will soon see this noble man settle down with a wife.
- Victor - He's the Gunslinger that was friendly to the party, the one that broke out of the ice on his own.
- Geoff - He's the merc that's been with the party on two missions, probably often recognized due to his multiple specializations. He has taken over Alan's shipping company and currently resides in Confushia.
- Baelog - The troop leader of the Garthonic warriors if you happen to remember him.
- Goldleaf - A wood elf Mage that joined the party to find Total Codex, Alik knew him previously. Currently, Goldleaf stays at Darcy's tower, looking for a way to seperate his friend - and other unfortunates - from the pain elemental that as assimilated them.
- Ribela of Defwood - An illusionist that aided the party in their training before seeking the book. She has a few interesting tidbits of information, though that is all I care to say to date.
- Avarious - We called him Jack Frost (don't remind Dustin of that) and raided most of his place. Unbeknownst to us, he did not want the book falling into the wrong hands, which was why he tried to stop our party from succeeding.
- Alora's Panther - I just want David to stop harassing Dustin and I... more to come on the actual cat.
- The True Colours of Note:
- Kosh - The great red, Chris' "uncle", a serious warrior who while he doesn't love him respects him none the less, most humanoids that refused to listen to him he would have just promptly ate.
- Kell - The great blue, always prepared to lend a sympathetic ear this ancient mage of the dragons is capable of great feats of magic, she is the one responsible for the manipulation of the key.
- Sheka - The great black, sinister and devious he is always looking for some way to cause pain and missery.
- Gellma - The great white, a devout priestess ask her a question and she will give you a prophetic answer often times seemingly completely unrelated from what you asked her, nice but a real hard-noser, she doesn't like being contradicted.
- Hisgam - The great green, far more interested in simply eating the lot of you rather than reaching a mutual consent conclusion. He is seemingly flighty, apathetic, and lazy, don't be fooled he's far more cunning than he looks, though one would almost assume he'd have to be.
The Party's Vacations:
We all split up for a while... going in our own seperate directions to find ourselves and things we may have lost. We met friends and foes like on the way, and they are as worthy of being mentioned as anyone else in this world.
Shaye's
- Captain Hagar Prell - The unusually well connected Captain that Shaye met with on her journey to recover Kurtis or, at least, discover his whereabouts. The man did help her, but once they parted ways, disappeared back onto the open sea.
- Ssethsst - The multilingual Korstrathstrumm responsible for Shaye's rescue from a species of dimensional invader. Subsequently, he and his people brought her back to Confushia in time for the tournament.
Delbin's
- Maxwell Farmit - A now retired halfling adventurer from whom Delbin acquired a well made suit of leather armour, in exchange for "services rendered."
- Plaskcott the Clever - A gnomish inventor responsible for Delbin's semi-miraculous journey into Ogreish territory, and shortly thereafter into the middle of the ocean.
- Mack and Hammer - Two of the gnomes pursuesing Plaskcott for several various crimes, like outlawed experimentation and patent violation
- The Captin' and his Rugged Band of Pirates - The Captain and crew of the Kendor pirate vessel the K.S.S. Maelstrom, with whom Delbin joined up with for a short period. They spend their time having their ship planar shift to random strange locations then looting whoever happens to be there taking everything that's not nailed down; Though most of the time they don't end up with anything of value.
- Kiske - A young Dragon that took a rest apon the inflatable raft Delbin managed to produce. He spent his time visiting with Delbin, attempting not to damage his raft, and swearing he could smell a small furry animal about that kept making him hungry.
- Aabellare - A sea elven priest who in exchange for a large crystal Delbin had acquired traded him a sea elven spear, and the use of a sea elven ship for one kendor lifetime. He probably would have spoken to Delbin for longer if an unwelcome but not unexpected guest arrived.
- Dollon - The original owner of the spear given to Delbin, he didn't want to hand it over but an order's an order.
- Yoquin - The sea elven pilot chosen to pilot Delbin's new ship, young and outwardly both happy and placid, he says little and performs quickly; When not following orders he is ussually meditating.
Mikhael's
- Bart and Tom - A pair of priests of hedonism who agreed to serve under Michael for this job "cause we need the money". they met their fate when they fled during the collapse of a plane, and having fled they were the only ones of that mercenary party whom did not escape the collapse.
For all others, see Simon (from the party) or Villains
Alyla's
- Marina - Yet another of Sam's characters, Marina served with the other Amazon's under Ayla, though Marina's interests in her were a bit out of the ordinary, even though such feelings were one-sided.
- Dal - A druid who became so in touch with nature that she began to act as if she were a wolf. Perhaps she was raised by them, perhaps not, her story is unknown and will remain as such since she was later slain by the Dark Lord that keeps pestering the party.
- Mirr - A stoic warrior whom Ayla saved both physically and spiritually, she swore her life to Ayla and lost it in the final battle with Korronoss.
Alora's
- Sigurd - A mage lord under which Alora served as a mercenary, he demanded the removal of a Dromosian village and paid well for it. Ayla tryed heartily to spare the villagers from harm, but the sudden burning of it prevented such ideals from being completely effective. Sigurd is one of those that currently seek the whereabouts of Cole, he was also involved in the latest Confushia-Dromos war, and is currently having his industries continually assualted by Dromosian hordes lead by Byron Greyscalp.
- Byron Greyscalp - Alora was sparred a conflict with Greyscalp when she encountered him as one of his lieutenants knocked him unconious then spirited him off.
- Kilvarus - A Grey Elven collector that Alora has been trading with, responsible for the aquisition of quite a few of the parties newest and best items.
- Miles - A fellow Grey Elven Bladesinger whom Alora knew from long ago who currently resides, works, and trains at the colliseum. He has recently perfected a profficiency more suited to his lack of skills in the magely arts.
Alik's
Dustin refuses comment. Onto the next Vacation!
Cole's
Now wait a damn minute... why is Cole in here?
- Mellisa - A horrendosouly powerful creature that has Cole scaried shitless and is right on his heels. (doesn't sound like much of a vacation eh?)
Oh... good...
- Blain - One of the Azurai that rescued the party from the Dark Lord, Blain in particular explained a bit of the situation and, asked the party where next they would like to go, then sent them there.
- Hegek - an absolutely massive orc, that is apparantly half-giant, that had a deal with Alora to try and remove at least some of the orcs around the Air Phae Icon, he followed through with it and remains on speaking terms.
- Delthorain - An old Elf turned Vampire who resided within a small well defended compound amoungst the orcish horde. Though his precise end is unknown the fact that he is no longer there is certain.
- Yugos - Delthorain's previous servant whom Mikhel slew.
- Linus - Delthorain's new servant secured as a reimbersment and part of a deal with Mikhel.
- Investigator Palor of the Clan of the Great Justice - The Dwarven Lawyer that represented the party's interests during their pass through the Dwarven wall being erected to contain the orcs, by Dwarven standards this guy's a fairy.
- Captain Gulbin of the Clan of the Mighty Soldier - The Dwarven warrior who arrested the party, and nearly had Alora executed for her quick tongue.
- Judicator Fulgor of the Clan of the Great Justice - The Dwarf passing judgement on how the party is to be dealt with during the visitation to their institution.
- Alimar - The 'show man' who presented the party with the once in a life time opportunity to test their skill against the Invigia, a dungeon of legendary repute.
- Borden - The 'individual' Alimar guided the party to whom if they helped would bring about the returning of Mikhel to the party.
- Tanailya Fishslapper - Delbin's new, and not so blushing, bride, she is hot headed, brash, and entirely wealthy, for a Kender.
- Yunaw Fishslapper - Delbin's new Mother-in-Law, who is even more agraviting than her daughter. She demands respect and lot's of it, which is a difficult task at three foot two.
- Bishlop Fishslapper - Delbin's new Father-in-Law, who is very drunk most of the time.
- Da Boys - A pair of Kender mercenaries who work for the Fishslapper family, they ensured that no one skipped out during the wedding proceedings, and now are hunting the absent Delbin. There rather unique style of speaking with moderately good Italian accents (why do Kender have Italian accents?) and wearing matching off-white suits with bowlers sporting a large violin and trumpet case, makes them an object of some interest.
Who Are The Sisters Anyway?
Dustin needs to tell this story himself:
***Dustin sit's down comfortably hands on his lap clears his throaght and begins telling a story (just a little cliche humour)*** In the begging, before the Argonath was a Country, when there were still orcs in the North and the High elve's still ruled the south of their continent, the earliest of the magiks were formed. There were three of them Light, Darkness, and something in-between, which had no name at the time since it's existense was kept a secret even unto the other two orders. Later these forms became known as Black magic, Grey magic, and Mysticism. As time continued the "inventors" of the Dark and Light magiks became more and more powerful, while there just became a lot more users of the in-between, which began to have several different names, although the inventors of that then founded the sisterhood in order to observe and control the spreading wave that was the use of their magic, they were also the most powerful users of this magic. Apparently in their lust for power the Dark master's, the "inventor's" of the Black magic, went too far and the High Mystic's, the "inventor's" of Mysticism, decided that they must be stopped, and they enlisted the support of the Sister's Grey, another way to refer to them, and thus began "The Great War". It raged for almost a century with great armies amassed at either side and eventually it ended as the Dark Master's were imprisoned after one last combat. Two of the Dark Master's though supposedly did not end this way, one, the weakest, was destroyed, and another, the second weakest, simply disappeared, it is sopposed that the dragons disposed of him, or possibly one of the celestial allies of the High Mystics. Still the turning point in the war was that the Sisterhood sided with the High Mystics and thus that is how the Sisterhood devoted themselves to being, as the opponent to their great enemy, though with their success they no longer are as powerful as an official organization as they once were, though their members are stronger than ever.
