Topic: POSITIONS Yuri Temirkanov, The Baltimore Symphony's music director since 2000, plans to return from Russia to conduct three weeks of concerts in late May and early June. It will be the first time Temirkanov has led the orchestra since October; for personal reasons, he canceled four weeks of concerts he was to have conducted in March. Philip D. English, the chairman of the board of directors, will step down in June at the end of his three-year term.
