About Me

I am a 32 year old college graduate - bachelors in English and history! I love to read - science fiction is my friend. My favorite authors are Marion Zimmer Bradley, Orson Scott Card, David Weber, Mercedes Lackey, and Lisanne Norman. I was born in Georgia, but I know live in Sunny Florida. My first cabbage patch was Rory, a coleco, pictured below with his U brother, Jack. I rediscovered my love for cabbage patch kids when I found the internet and ebay in 1996. As a poor college student, the kids were mostly too expensive for me, but I soon found the growing cabbage patch community. Before too long, I was getting packages weekly with new kids. I saw the softies on ebay, but hardly anyone I knew was collecting the, and to be honest I thought they were ugly and couldn't imagine spending that much on a ''doll''. However, I went to my first convention, Leah's Pajamara, and saw the new faces on the 'kids and was hooked on this modern soft sculptures. Soon after the event, I got a job and started buying softies like crazy, including some of the older Little People. The next year, I went to my first convention, where I met Xavier Roberts for the first time. It was soo cool, and last year I saw him again as I celebrated my 10th Cabbage Patch Collectors Club event, making the time go full circle. It's amazing the friendships I've gained and the great memories I cherish.
