Trip Mileage: approximately 8 miles

We started out from Coe Park Headquarters down flat frog trail. We had done this trip before, it is a nice day hike with decent fishing at frog pond. At the pond, I was pitching some minature super-duper lures I had made out of brass strip in my garage. I caught several bluegills and pulled in one 10" bass. We took the monument trail back to headquarters, it is much steeper than the flat frog trail but it has a nice view. On the windy road back towards Morgan Hill, we came across a tarantula in the road. We helped this little guy get to where he was going safely.
